  1. I don't know if Devine is gonna be much of anything. He is definitely going at least prep school and maybe JUCO. I wouldn't be surprised if he never sets foot on a major college football field.
  2. Crawford was charged with rape last year, though I believe the charges were dropped.
  3. He is on roids', or at least was. They weren't illegal, he needed them for growth. Like it or not, those can still "aid" the process. I'm not saying this is the only reason he is so strong, not by any means. He has gotten this good and strong because he works as hard as he does. O, and he said that much in the Star so I'm not bringing up hearsay.
  4. Were the games played today? UC/HV and EL/CD? Scores?
  5. Roop needs to drop a few lbs if he wants to go D1 like everyone claims. 380 sounds good but it won't cut it in college. He needs to be about 300.
  6. Tate did not attend. He was taking the ACTs.
  7. I could see him as a white Jason Allen or even a John Lynch with speed. He could be crazy good, hopefully in the orange and white.
  8. Where is Smith leaning to in recruiting? I'm hearing different things. I've heard ND if they offer, but I've also heard he doesn't like them as much as people think. I've also heard he is interested in them but not a whole lot because they want him at LB. I've heard BC is too far from home for him. I've heard he likes Bama alot right now. Then there is UTK. I've heard he is close to committing, just wants to make sure, but I've heard the same about him going elsewhere because UTK wants him at LB.
  9. I also believe that Smith had the fastest shuttle at like 3.81.
  10. Tate's not going to Auburn and likely not UT. He will end up at one of the big 3 in Florida or at Notre Dame, though for some reason ND isn't showing much love. I still think that Donald is the best player in the state, though Tate, Donald, and Sykes are all studs.
  11. I truly expect both Donald and Hogsett to end up in Orange. I do think Hogsett will end up as a DE.
  12. The score on the schedule is wrong. Crockett did not beat Happy Valley 14-6. Happy Valley won the game 11-10.
  13. I'll have to disagree with you big time on that statement leonard. Anderson is a top 5 player in the state. In no order, my top 5 seniors are Anthony Anderson, Chris Donald, Golden Tate, Harrison Smith, and Rae Sykes.
  14. Happy Valley beat Cloudland 17-0 in 4 innings.
  15. Is the consolation game today at 3:30 or 5:30? If I pay to get into the consolation game, will I have to pay to get into the championship game? What is a good time to show up to get into the championship game, seeing that it will probably be sold out?
  16. no, u are absolutely wrong owl. the players arent the problem. its the coaches and lack of discipline. guilmire is good, but foster is 10 xs the rb that guilmire is. what other team besides ut in the sec is recruiting guilmire? maybe one or two of the lower rated teams, even though ut is one of them this year. they do recruit tennessee, but they cant help it if the kids turn them down, ala oher and turner last year and warren this year and most likely tate next year. this isnt high school, u have to recruit for ur needs. ut doesnt need rbs for next year. they already have hardesty, foster, williams, coker, and yancey. 2 will be so's, 2 will be rs fr, and yancey is a sr. some states can recruit mainly instate, but we arent in florida, california, georgia, ohio, or texas. we are tennessee and the sad fact is, most of tennessee isnt exactly a powerhouse of pre college football players.
  17. id like for the starting 5 to be rutledge, rader, caldwell, morgan, and davis, but davis is hurt and bayless isnt that high on rader for some reason. this team will definitely be undersized, but very athletic, ala last years south greene team.
  18. who other than these 3 will be highly recruited next year? does anyone know where these 3 will end up? ive heard florida for golden tate and tennessee for chris donald. rae sykes is up in the air. what about the kid from coffee county, i think his name is robbie gonzalez, how good is he? ive heard as much as he is the best sophomore in the country, and that came from one of the top recruiting analysts in the nation. ive also heard he will commit to ut once he is given an offer.
  19. the new teams are south greene, west greene, and chuckey doak. as for hv, if they can find the depth to run, they should be good. they will have shooters, but not much underneath. morgan is back and looks better than ever. if this teams gets some confidence, they could be very dangerous with two of the top guards in the conference(rutledge and caldwell) and another one that will be a big sleeper(rader).
  20. this is easy. maryville vs knox central
  21. when norman was at happy valley his freshman year, he was quite a ways down on the depth chart, even with kids in his class. he doesnt have that killer instinct underneath and isnt the most coordinated or athletic big man. then he moves to elizabethton and is a split starter right off the bat. either etown is in need of inside help, or he has really progressed.
  22. id look for hv to run the ball a whole lot more than last year. not much size, but lots of good athletes that can run and good shooters. radar is a team player, he does shoot when he comes in, but hes about 80% from 3 range when hes out there. he also plays good defense. as for morgan, hes a natural athlete, once he starts practicin again, he'll be fine. if he stays into basketball, hv will have 2 very good forwards(morgan and davis) to go with 3 really good guards(rutledge, caldwell, radar). that could be their starting five if they decide to play without a true center this year but i dont think thats bayless ball.
  23. thats a garbage rumor. there is no reason that todd wouldnt play this year. this team will have to find depth at guard because they will rely on running the ball a whole lot with very little inside play.
  24. i wouldnt go as far as to say it would be a shock if unicoi doesnt win. hv had all the size in the world last year and couldnt win it. its a whole lot easier to come in and win when ur not hyped up to be the best. the wind blows the hardest on the top of the hill. colton white and ike weaver should be unstoppable down below but they lost two huge players in ryan corn and hunter sparks. this is a team that doesnt have to have big 3 point ability if they have a pg that can feed it underneath with accuracy. personally, i look for either south greene or chuckey doak to come in and shake things up. hv could be great but they arent as mentally stable as other teams. one bad game and it could go all down hill. they will need confidence. nave, i mean elizabethton, will need the tempo on their side most games. it should be an exciting season for all teams though.
