I attacked you guys beacuse that is what you done to Zach Holt. You have not seen me come in here and attack anybody about thier opinions about any subject. All I ask is that when you decide to be critical about players from Giles County dont single out one player because the last time I checked it took a team to win against quality teams. Your B-Team could beat some of the teams in your district but they are teams that you must play. Im sure Holt will make mistakes and have nights where he wished he would have done better. The same should be said for the other players on the team. I just rarely see you guys get on here and bash other players on the team. If I am wrong then I'm sorry but I dont think I'M wrong in this case. Good Luck Tuesday vs BA.

Although throwing oops from half court can be very entertaining to the fans and I like it myself, I think that repeating as state champions will require Giles to play good half court defense and offense. Good teams will handle pressure which will make the half court game very important if you make it deep into the tournament. It just my opinion that Holt gives Giles the best chance to win in a half court game. However, it will take both Holt and Coffey plaing at thier best along with the rest of the players doing thier jobs for Giles to be able to raise the gold ball when the final horn goes off.

Didnt Giles win that game at the buzzer last year. I hope that your wish comes true and they do play again the sub-state. Then we can see if Holt gets embarassed by this guy. If it happens then I will get on here and tell you that you were right. At the same time you need to realize that just because one point guard outscores another point guard does not mean that the player that scores the most is the better player. I still contend that Holt gets after it on defense and does a good job at point guard for Giles and is a team player. Its really all a mute point being that Giles will probally be 25-5 or 24-6 when tournament time rolls around with two of there loses two Bradley Central who is proballythe best team in the state regardless of class. One thing is for sure with Zach Holt playing for Giles County the chances of repeating as AA State Champs is more likely than not! Good Luck to all the Bobcats! When are you guys going to answer the questions that I have asked in my post? Or do you just see what you want to see? I might also add thatthe only reason I am not getting any support from Giles County people on this is because Zach Holt is not from Giles County and you guys are just supporting local kids and giving no props to Holt because he is an outsider.

Some of you guys like the fact that Coah Holt took some of the starters out at Lee the other night in the first half. Let me ask you something when that happened what starters did he leave in and who was the point guard. I do know that Giles was down by six when he made that move and they were up two at halftime. I just cant recall who the guy was running the point guard position at the time. Could somebody please help me out ?

After the summary on the Giles Co. / Huntsville Lee game I thought someone should try to help Glyndon and Krogers understand the game of basketball a little better than they do which I may add any improvement would be a significant help two these two clowns. First off most basketball teams do not want thier leading scorer to be thier point guard. And most coaches would consider that the point guard had a good game if he did not turn the ball over to many times and got the team into the offense and got the ball to thier scorers which would be Shannon and Smith on this team. I would think that the reason Zach Holt does not score no more than he does is that he does not usually see the ball again after he makes the first pass in the offense because one of the other guys is going to take a shot. I was at the Bradley Central game at Martin College and Zach Holt was the leading scorer at halftime and may not have scored at all in the second half and proballly shot twice. He guarded Pickel and shut him down the first half and then got into some foul trouble and had to sit. If I remember correctly when he left the game Bradley was up 2 and when he returned they had extended the lead to 10. That tells me a little about his leadership on the court. He may not lead the team every night in scoring but I bet more times than not he will put his team in position to win the game. I will tell u this Krogers, if Holt is the seventh or eighth best player on this team then you should be 17-0 instead of 12-5 on the season. The problem with this team is there is not enough basketballs on the floor for everybody to get thier shots. For that reason I'm glad Holt is not scoring twenty a night at least that shows he is doing what a TRUE point guard us supposed to do, which is get the ball to the people who should be scoring. By no means am I taking away from Coffey or any of the other players because they are fine players. But the point guard gets the ball to the scorers. Let me ask you this, how many times did the point guard that was matched up with Holt score more points than he did and his team end up winning the game. That would be interesting to know. If you have eight people on this team that are capable of averaging double digets every night then you would be scoring 100 every night out. How many times has that happened this year I guesss that is because Holt is a terrible point guard, that makes a lot of sense. My advise to you two clowns is to stick to bashing referees and leave the basketballl analysis to people who have a clue about the game.

Games cancelled due to Test at East Ridge. So I guess they will have to wait to beat Grundy by 30!

On behalf of Mr. Holt, I would like to say thanks you for your support of LES basketball. Moments ago we were informed that in honor of Mr. Holt a scoreboard will be put in with his name below it. This may not mean much to some people but for those at LES it will be thier first scoreboard that runs on electricity. This will be a big day for the Holt family or what used to be so everybody come out Saturday on join in on the fun.

Hey Vegas, Looks like daddy took the boy out to the woodshed. Cascade led by 11 at the break and only scored 11 points in the second half. Congrats to Daddy E. Even having the Pope on the side of Cascade was'nt enought tonight. I guess the Reverend from Memphis sent out a shout for the vikes tonight. Rumor has it that legendary jr. pro coach Troy Yoes was also in the house tonight sitting next to John Wooden.

All I wanna know is when does Dateline NBC air its first episode of "Life In Rickvegas". Or did they pack there stuff up and decide not to profile them after the loss?

I will add Ken Colquette to the list. Four state champioships at Marion in the 90's and the Warriors have not won a playoff games sice he left. Although he has not won as much at Grundy he is the only team in that region to win playoff games in the last two years. I could not tell you when somebody besides Grundy won a playoff game in thier region. Mid way through this year I thought he had lost his team and would not be able to get them playing for him again. This past Fridays' win over Trousdale proved that he was able to get them to play well against a quality team. If this team was healthy (had Cooke, Anderson, Price, etc) they would likely be 10-1 at this point and have a real good shot of playing in the boro. Friday night they play a very good Macon Co. team in round 2 two. With a win Grundy will return to the quarterfinals for the first time in almost 10 years. Maybe the boro is not out of sight for this team. They have some great players with a lot of heart and a coaching staff that will work day and night to prepare for this Friday. I will end with this, I would not bet against Colquette and the Jackets or you might just be left scratching your head just as Brentwood Academy was a few years back when they left their runner-up trophy sitting in the bleachers at Vanderbilt.

Why make such a big deal about who will be the best in the Valley. I mean if u dont finish in the top four of your district then you go home anyway.

At last count Jeff Neal (AKA the Falcon Newspaper Guy) was up by three votes in the race to be next boys coach at Lincoln Co. Rumor has it that all votes may be stopped as former Franklin Co. Newspaper guy Jan Tavlin and Neal may become Co-Head Coaches . I"d say if you put these two guys IQ's together you might come up with a number that is close to the age as the old fart that runs Lincoln County HS Jimbo Stewart. Hey Jimbo grow some balls and hire a coach that will do whatever the parents want done. Or better yet why dont you let your wife hire the next coach, they say she has bigger balls and is more of a man than you will ever be! I bet she would at least give a reason for leeting a coach go. Thats more than your sorry butt did! Included in this statement is a picture of Jimbo Stewart hard at working looking for a new boys coach.

I bet Thompson is not the man that hires the new boys coach! Your idiot principal will make that call or will he let the parents hire the next coach just as he let them fire Holt. I think they should start a petition and whoever gets the most nominations gets the job. I nominate your newspaper guy that covers the Falcons. He knows a lot about the game. Id say if there is no more nominations by Monday that Stewart will hire the guy. I mean after all lets do what a couple of parents want and not whats best for Lincoln County!

Note to Sequatchie County Athletic Department: Move your home bleachers to the other side of the gym so that innocent kids from the visiting team do not have to be harassed by your classless supporters. By no means are all Sequatchie fans classless but the ones sitting behind the visiting bench sure give Indian fans a bad name.

I learned this program from a former coach a few years ago. What you do is compare two teams by an opponent they have both played. It is called Misty Math. Moore Co. beat Unionville 55-38, which is a 17-point margin of victory. Moore Co. beat Cascade by 10 points with a final score of 50-40. Unionville lost by 17 and Cascade by 10 which gives you the prediction of Cascade to beat Unionville by seven points. The system has not been modified to the point where it gives an exact score just the margin of victory but what the heck I'll go out on a limb and give an educated guess on the final score. As long as Sweet Billy T is calling the shots, Eagleville has a chance. He is one of my favorite coaches around. There is no doubt that he is great, look what he has done with Coach Lynch. He has taught Lynch a bunch and when Billy gets out Lynch will be able to step in and pick up where Billy leaves off. The only thing is that Lynch will never and I mean ever be able to is outdress Coach Tollett. His outfits for gameday are second to none! Look out for the Eagles!
