  1. I was surprised myself at centrals performance. They have another week of practice to get better and prepare for their first game against Notre Dame. Brent did ok he had his ussual double and triple team goin but he made some plays. im sure he is still a bit carful but im sure he will loosen up as the season gets started. Central will be ok i think; Jones will have them ready in time and they should be fine. I would love to see central do really good but i really just want to see my friend have a great season and live his dream.
  2. o ok my bad i thought they were playing rhea....shows what i know.
  3. 4-4A Jamboree is tonight at Rhea county. Central will play Rhea at 7:30 it should be good, i incourage everyone that can attend to attend. i dont know who everyone else plays so if you could help me out with that at the times please. thanks
  4. ChrisBurr im not so sure the region 4-4A will come down to Chatt. Central and Brainerd. its wrong simply because Rhea isnt in there. Even if Central isnt in there Rhea has to be if its Rhea VS. Central or VS> Cleveland or anyone that would be closer but im almost willing to bet that Rhea will be the team to beat this year.
  5. Ill tell you somethin about brent hayes and im not tryin to get emotional here or anything. Brent is a great guy all around. He isnt like alot of really good athletes who think too much of himself. He is very modest in everything he does and never hypes himself up. He busts his tail on and off the field and he knows he has alot of work ahead of him. All he did all summer was workout and run. Its amazing to seee a guy so dedicated as he is even after what all hes been through in the past. He has made many sacrafices so he would be able to get to workouts and make himself better. He doesnt have a big head about football, he thinks of himself last in just about everything and puts his team in front of life when its season time. He has come along way since the tyner game last year when he couldnt even walk off the field under his own power and as a good friend of his i cant believe how far hes come. Football is life to Brent very few people in this area can truely say that about someone. He knows hes not the best but he sure as heck trys to be. He'll be ready to help his team win this year and he'll go somewhere and continue playing football. i think thats all hes really conserned about.
  6. Guesswho' your gettin the two Centrals mixed up. yes bradley central has been good for some time but as the other guy said Chatt. Central Pounders havent been real good except for the past 3 years.
  7. Im gonna have to agree about the Brainerd comment. I dont want to take anything away from their staff but if they pull things together here soon they will be the team to beat in chattanooga. My opinion Rhea wins the region 4-4A; i know its early and they arnt my team but its still what i think.
  8. Ill say one thing and write it down if you want. Tennessee Volunteers.
  9. Im not well liked on coacht so ill be careful what i say form now on. Beau is not 19 iv grown up with him since the 6th grade at brown middle and i know hes not 19 (not that that will stop you from believein what you want). Tyner is a great football team they were last year and they will be this year no doubt, it will be a great game to watch i cant wait. Ill say that i wouldnt mind bein called a "Pud" by a team that i beatlike a drum last year. Ooltewah is has a great football program every year and ill expect no different this year. Central isnt yelling "dynasty" i think everyone knows they arnt there yet so dont act like they think that. All our people are saying is that things are looking up for the pounders. I dont know how good they will be this year until i see them play in a game. Tyner and Rhea will be big time games for central this year. We love our pounders and we are proud of 'em; both players and coaches.
  10. yes the scrimage is at Baylor School. i heard 7 but maybe its 9 ill find out for sure for ya.
  11. Central will be starting #12 John Cornett 6'4'' 230 with a really good arm and will have alot to chose from at RB. i agree that will be the desideing factor for cental. yes they play baylor sat at baylor at 7:00 AM.
  12. Ok i went and ill give you a non biased report on everything. they couldnt do a complete scrimage because bradley hasnt been practicing for 3 days yet and that is the deadline. they more or less practiced together. they practiced at 9 O'Clock and then at 2:30. Bradley looked ok if they had more team speed i think they would have alot goin for them. they play with alot of heart and determination and thats a big part of football. ill shoot straight and be honest in saying that central did very well both offense (wich was in the morning) and defensive (the afternoon). Brent Hayes is looking god and is droping alot of weight. last year he played at 253 and this year he will be playing around 235. He had a few really good licks on bradley running backs. he played the entire practice and didnt seem to be bothered by the running. Central has some wrinkles to iron out but i think they will be ok. they will have their hands full with both Rhea County and Tyner; Rhea of course will be the most important being a region game. Will central be as good as last year?...im not real sure. they lost alot of really good athletes. Good job Bradley i hope you guess have a great injury free year.
  13. Chatt. Central will play Bradley Central today at bradley at 4 O'Clock. should be good; any thoughts?
  14. i must say this. and you would think im bein biased but im not. its not all on his parents and i know its not on lively. ill us my own brother for example, my parents were at one time very very strict so much that i was scared to death to speak to my father at times and they disaplined my older brother till they couldnt swings their hand anymore and he is in and out or prison and jail all the time. just cause you disapline your kids dont mean they will grow up right they were more leaniant on me and ill be the only one of my siblings to graduate and go to college. wilkes dad, i know, disaplines ryan. ryan makes his own choices if he does somethin wrong he knows hes doin it. as for lively ryan respects lively more than anyone and he does what he says there just isnt any backbone right now with him gone. you want my opinion? everyone was wrong. the coaches were wrong for not gettin this on going problem under control at the beginning of the year the players that quit were wrong for not bein better sports, teammates, and mature enough to play their l;ast game with the problem and wilkes was wrong for running his mouth when he got mad.dont blame one person. this is soemthing that has been exculating sor along time, and therefore i put most of the blame ont he coaches they are ultimatly the ones with the power to play not play or dismiss a player.
  15. good post gov. there sint alot more to be said about what really happend other than that we are still kids. im 18 and so is ryan and alot of other guys that are out there and though we should be mature enough to not have a problem like this and be able to control it on our own we also have to relie on the coaching staff also. the problem should have been resolved early in the game. coaches were told about the problem in the 2nd inning and nothin was done to stop it so the 3rd went on and it got worse and then it blew up in the 4th. 2 infielders walked to the dugout and refused to play until something was done still nothing was done so they got their things and left. the pitcher got enough and almost left before the problem was resolved and to who evers "fault" it may go (wich will be argued by both sides of course) wilkes left and houghton didnt let the 2 guys that refused to play get back on the field. this caused parents to be mad and have words before we all went home. like i said alot, 7 if im not mistaken, of those guys wont play again and its a shame it had to end like this. marriman pitched well but came up short ina good game.
  16. a good game to bad it had to end the way it did. you all know i love ryan wilkes like my brother and iv always took his side no matter what the situation but there isnt alot i can say for my boy tonight. he fielded well while he was out there but some things were said and some tempers swelled and a long story short wilkes left early and some players (not giving names) either quit or almost did. ooltewah players were funny to watch while this was goin on they looked like deer cought in head lights.lol this was the last ball game for many of the players and its too bad it had to happen like this.
  17. yeah i hope wes does continue to keep up the impressive year he is haven but like you were sayin...yeah ryan will grow up more and he will be ready i think he is just haven fun while he can cause he knows the final days for that is comin closer and closer. will he be as good as wes? that remains to be seen but he has the potential....it all depends on him i guess.
  18. were is he signin...by that i mean what pro team is he playin for?
  19. bequick...you must really think alot of wilkes to even mention his name. if you didnt you wouldnt have just pulled his name out of thin air...you know he is one of the best high school players around. and he will grow and be just as great as everyone one of his family and friends expect.
  20. daniel hall of chatt. central has 10 and if you got the stats on howard of ooltewah from the paper...they arnt accurate he may have more than that cause it says hall has 8 but he really has 10 as of last night.
  21. ryan wilkes of chatt. central is considered to be the best infeilder in the chattanooga area. has a great glove at ss and brings 95 mph to the mound. he also is a batting around .468. iv seen guys hit the ball to ss and will hardly jog to 1st cause they know he is there and he is gonna throw them out.
  22. hahaha are you a player for the cleveland JV? yall were playin baylor? if im not mistaken yalls right feilder was cussin at yall 2nd baseman all night talkin about doin his mom and stuff so dont get on here and act like ryan is some devil for messin with your 1st baseman and i was right beside him....if you were over there then you know who i am. if not then you prolly dont even know what your talkin about. as far as i can remember he didnt say anything about haven sex with anyones mom and like i said i was sittin about a foot from him. yalls 1st bae,am kept lettin the ball go by him while yall were warmin up and he had to ru over there beside ua and we said "you gotta get those 1st" and he said "yeah im fat i cant help it" so of course we laughed at it and he kept on sayin stuff and he was cussin and flipin us off while he was on 1st. but no i can speak for him when i say he didnt say he was gonna have sex with his mom. but like i said yalls right feilder had some problems witht he 2nd baseman. and yeah maybe we dont call it star roll but all A's are the same thing and no he does take some easy classes but in order to get a letter you have to have A's and B's for the last part of last year and the first part of this year wich ryan took english 12 and his science classes and his history classes in that time spand. you dont know what your talkin about agin....but im not surprised too much.and its not 93....last time it was checked it was 95 and he has worked hard since then so im sure its harder now.
  23. so far it looks like wilkes is the hardest pitcher around here unless yall can name some more.
  24. ryan wilkes has commited to kentucky and as far as his grades go he received an academic letter of excellence today. he has star roll.
  25. ryan wilkes of chatt. central stays around 93 but has hit in the upper 90's (95-96) ended last year with 0.43 ERA
