  1. I pretty much live on scout team for at least the rest of this year for ba, and it makes me a much better player. When I go against our starters it prepares me very well for JV and the varsity games i get into. It also should prepare for when/if i ever get to start or see significant meaningful PT. It also gives you a chance to help the team get better, it's win-win ( except when you get killed ). Some of my non- football friends will sarcastically say " nice playing firday " or something like that but you know in your mind you've helped your team, and your day will come.
  2. DavidVarnPlavich do you think Nick Forte stands any chance vs. Corey Mills? I hear Forte is tiny and and barely benchs anything what do you think?
  3. Predictions MBA 31 Southhaven 13 Baylor 48 Boyd-Buchanon 24 MUS 21 ECS 3 McCallie 56 Father Ryan 7 Being a BA player, I never predict our game on CoachT.
  4. Griffin, no doubt, end of question just ask DII AAA recievers. Though his former teammate Reid Beard could really bring it as a d-lineman.
  5. itzme, do you go to ba or play on the team if so what number are you?
  6. Does anybody know much about Corey Mills? Apparently he plays line for CBHS and has SEC potential. If anybody knows anything else about him like stats or where he might go tell me.
  7. A lot is made of BA's depth and how we have the advantage of recruiting and how it's so unfair and how Oakland is just decimated by Seigal or whatever opened, I just want to remind everyone BA has approximently 400 students in the upper school while many schools we face have thousands, Flatt should be given much credit for the interest he has generated at BA in football and his persistance in getting guys to come out for the team, almost half the boys at the school play and Flatt turns many regular guys who just wanted to be part of the team into good football players.
  8. Initially I heard they were going to redshirt King and try to beef him up, but it's been awhile so they may have changed their minds hopefully somebody can give a more definite anwser.
  9. Great game tonight by BA. BA really put the run and pass and defense all together tonight, it wasn't perfect but BA looked much improved. One thing I observed was not only David Holbert on offense but his incredible pass rushing on defense, they barely laid a hand on him sometimes. I have a question for somebody that knows about Oakland, who is #66 the big guy and what's the scoop on him?
  10. On the other thread Wes mentioned that BA had an advantage by playing on week 0. I agree with him for the most part but does anybody else have an opinion on how this will affect the game? BA probably will be a little sharper but we also could be fatigued after a tough Saturday night game while Oakland should be fresher. Any thoughts?
  11. What a dogfight this game will be, BA had a long grueling practice Monday and I'm sure Oakland did to. This will be a classic II AAA vs. 5a game. Watch how BA does as they face a team for the first time that has tons of size and speed. This game should tell us a lot about both teams. May the best team win.
  12. With a victory by MBA over a top 5 team, a victory by BA over a good 5a team, and victorys by Father Ryan and McCallie I don't see how you could argue against DII AAA being the best conference. Wes mentioned this being great for TN football but it's also great for DII AAA
  13. Shortie- i'm not wes but i'm a BA lineman and i can tell you Justin played very well he is one of the most improved players on the team and created some huge holes on friday/saturday night, and as for djballer or whoever that mba fan was needs to be reminded we've been all the way to the supreme court and have been proven innocent of everything, and Coach Flatt is a great man and anybody who continues to try to use that against us is just making excuses.
  14. Hello everybody this is my debut on CoachT. Just so people know I play for BA well i'm on the team i won't see much of the field ( other than vs. father ryan ) until next year but none the less i'm pretty much an expert on all things Brentwood Academy football so hopefully I can provide some analysis or anwser any question not pertaining to the game plan or something like that. By the way Wes I live on your street and I know Claire fairly well, we can talk about that later. As for last night, I thought overall we played mediocre but I was proud of the way we fought til the end and never gave in. We almost played well enough to get me in but not this week. It's time to move on to Oakland now which should be a very formiddable opponent, but if Theo can hold on to the ball i think we'll be ok.
