Congrats to the Pirates tonight. Will be a much different ball game next week. I hope we are ready for those big boys from Polk. Playoff ready games next two weeks.

For those talking about SP and Jasper schedules... SP opponents are 33-39 Jasper 22-49 Both teams are good teams in my opinion. Zeman is a guy that anyone would want on his team. It will be a good talking week come November first. However, 2 weeks before that!

Roy, you will be happy to know that I am going to Las Vegas tomorrow morning and will not be around this week to make that Webb man mad at SP. SP played pretty well against Boyd. The backs ran well and the line blocked well. I do want to give a mention to two players who do not get a lot of credit. One, the backup center for now since Cooper is hurt which is Sam Nelson I believe...He did a good job all night, and two Chase Blevins on defense and special teams did an outstanding job all night. I hope the boys continue to get better the next few weeks and heal up before the real season starts! Go Pirates!

SP better not come into this game thinking they already have it won...Yes, Boyd is down by normal standards...but we are as well talent wise compared to the last 5 or 6 years...Do I think SP can beat Boyd, yes. Do I think they will, yes. However, what I am concerned with is if they come out flat right out of the gate like they have done in several games this year. Boyd has played a tougher schedule and the longer they hang around the more their odds of winning go up...Go Pirates SP-34 Boyd- 20

The pirates should be up for this game...Boyd did come into Beene Stadium last year and leave with a W..It will be interesting for me to see how many times Cardwell throws and how we defend it...

First, congrats to Grundy on a hard hitting game. Second, SP better get those mistakes in blocking assignments fixed quick because Polk is coming down in a few weeks. Third, we seem to always get passed on like crazy, too much cushion. Lastly, Jajuan ran hard all night I thought and Kitt threw the ball good when he had the chance. I thought we could have thrown the ball a little more than what we did with success. You always hear the saying well its hard to get up for games against teams that are not as good. I heard people in the stands even saying that. Well, to me that is bull. I don't care who you play you should take of business early and leave no doubt! Glad we have a bye week to get healthy. Go Pirates!.

SP will hopefully come out ready to play and fired up. I hope all our boys come out fired up and ready to go! You cannot let teams hang around so we need to put them away early. If the line blocks like I think and our pass game keeps improving the pirates should walk out of Grundy with a nice victory.

Boyd makes me nervous because they run 5 wide and have Cardwell back there still. He can make plays with his legs and arms. Let's face it, our pass coverage is not too hot...Like Ambassador said, Boyd is not horrible, just down.

About what I expected. The only thing I was upset with was a huge hit on a kickoff by Anthony Sellers and they called it a personal foul. It's football, a contact sport. Grundy is struggling but gave us problems passing the ball last year. I am sure we will see the same this year.

Teams tend to play down to weaker competition. It still will not help Whitwell enough though. Pirates-55 Whitwell- 7

I met a nice couple from Mckenzie after that game at Red Lobster that said if they played again they would have beat that SP team...Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even though I thought they were wrong lol...SP will not have a problem with Witwell...Dusty and Clay Mchone are the two playmakers for Whitwell as someone said...Good ball players...but not enough to make this competitive

From what I heard in a nutshell...Zeman ran all over Central in first half...Second half Central held their ground while getting some breaks from Jasper...Game ended with Jasper attempting a field goal inside the 3 that missed.

Congrats to the pirates. Much better showing at home this time. Sequatchie was just outmatched in every part of the game with the exception of their kicker. I seen Silverdale beat Grundy, so that win against Grundy might not have been that impressive after all. Anyways, best of luck to Sequatchie on the rest of their season.

My personal opinion, If the Pirates do not win this game by at least 21 or more then they will struggle in the playoffs. However, for that to happen they have to play harder than they did last week. They need to remember TEAM > I

I cannot put into my mind how the Sequatchie County team that I seen last year and in the jamboree this year beat down Grundy that bad. Just does not make sense. Sp needs to come out ready to play and I think the starters will be ready to play more than one quarter this week. Still need to fix the mistakes! Work hard.

Last night, I felt sorry for Sale Creek. Probably one of the worst teams I have ever seen. To their credit they hustled to the line of scrimmage and looked really coachable. Time will help them get better. SP has a nice little test this week.

SP had one tough week at practice from what I heard..With that being said if this game is a game after the first half we are in trouble...If I am not mistaking Sale Creek got beat by Red Boiling Springs on of the worst teams in Tennessee history...With that being said... SP- 63 SC- 14
