I have a lot of confidence in this years team..I think when a lot of people see them in action, probably at home in the 2nd game against Hixson ( Which is picked to win their region) they will like what they see...I, like so many others are glad its almost football time in Tennessee!

SP beat or tied all teams there...bigger teams than 1A schools...and based on that...they are getting to the quarterfinals only? That's a pretty good synopsis there Lou Holtz lol But everyone has an opinion so I respect that...

I agree with troll....There should be only one no doubt! He will be a very valuable part of the pirates offense this year as will Corbin...He shined at NJ don't see why he can't be the best qb in 1A if he wants too...

SP, Coalfield, Humboldt, Dresden, and Gordonsville should be the top 5..I know Gordonsville lost a lot but they have talent back and they are reigning champs until they get unseated.

Agreed...The pirates have a lot of weapons this year and even........................a passing game! Going to be interesting to see how 1A teams defend the pirates.

If he was not able to play then he would not be practicing probably...I am excited about this years team! Kitt is going to be a good one at qb....and only a junior I believe.

You here it all the time about how playing at home gives teams the upper hand in games. The question here is which teams in 1A and 2A have the best home field advantage. For starters, there is no greater advantage in my opinion than Trousdale County has on the Creekbank. Maybe it's a mind thing. Their fans always seem to be into it.

Glad football season is almost here! I found this picture of these Bell County Boys. It is last year but they look like they got some big guys. Looking forward to seeing what our guys can do this year!

He is nowhere near the gamebreaker Rashawn was. Talk about dynamic players at SP. I still remember Trousdale trying to catch him on those jet sweeps in 2007. However, Corbin will be a good player on offense and defense. If he is not playing some at RB then maybe he can go out to a WR.

Corbin is a very good player! Yes, there are no issues with Kitt he is eligible without question.

Bringing in a 2,000 yard passer from a bigger school will help at the qb position and give SP the ability to throw IF NECESSARY. We are still by all means a running team. Nobody has played a game yet so way to early to say for sure this team or that team will win it all. Can't wait!

Those Jasper folks are excited this year..I for one am glad there is some excitement and competition back in the valley...Almost every player, fan I have talked to are talking about playing in Cookeville at seasons end...and putting an old fashioned whooping on the pirates at the end of the season
