Sycamore Fans are looking forward to Friday night. This is sure to be one great game. Our 2 schools have always played each other well and this year should prove to be no different. Here's to an exciting game with no injuries on either side of the ball. War Eagles, remember to play as a team and with heart, one at a time... GO WAR EAGLES!!!!

I am convinced that the War Eagles have the talent, the strength and the heart and desire to take this team as far as they want to go. I believe in them and also believe Jake Simms will be ready to lead this team. Should be an exciting game with these 2 neighbors competing for the first time. We will be offering up prayers for this family and your school ,as your children deal with this tragedy. Life is so precious. Our prayers are with the Lane family. We hated to see Dalton go down last night but know that he has "strong genes" and will work hard to get back on the field. The Lanes are known for their strength and determination and all of your Sycamore family will be cheering you on. Keep us posted as to his progress.

Jake and I are sitting here trying to figure out who you are. Jake has played for 10 years and only 2 people we are aware of have watched him play all his life. At the Vandy Camp this summer he was once again clocked in at 4.83, but since it was Vandy they may have been incompetent! The receivers were Patton, Cherry and Carrigan.

Sycamore comes out on top 21-14. On the offensive side of the ball Sycamore's 3 T.D.'s came through the air to 3 different receivers. Defensively, Creek Wood scores came on the second and last drives of the night. Someone earlier made a statement that Jake Simms runs the 40 in 5.5. I believe that would be a 4.8.

War Eagles, What a ride we had! We are so very proud of you guys. Sr.'s we thank you for 4 years and wish for you the very best. You played with heart and we could not have asked for more. You have instilled a winning spirit in our young men and have paved the way for the glory Days that will surely come to Sycamore High School. Are You Proud To Be a War Eagle? YES WE ARE!!

May our Father comfort this young man's family at this time of loss. Prayers will be lifted for his family, friends and teammates. God Bless from your Sycamore friends.

Anyone, who saw these two teams play in the regular season, know that we are All in store for a Great Football Game Friday night. It appears that Sycamore and Station Camp have a very healthy respect for one another, and I believe we will see one heck of a game Friday night! As a mom, I will always pray that all of our young men remain injury free as they hit the field to do battle. I am so proud of our War Eagles and want each of you to know that we are Behind you. Play with conviction and with the inner belief that on Friday night you Can, ...you Will... and you Are going to accomplish your goals.!!! GO WAR EAGLES

I am amazed at what I have been reading the last few days. It appears that a group of men have lowered themselved to that of little boys and are having a field day of name calling. As a mom, I have certainly seen this type of behavior in my little boys before. But guys, Enough is Enough ! Please,lets talk football and not forget that all of our teams are represented by fine young men who are simply giving it their all on Friday nights. (Can you remember when you guys took the field and how proud you were to represent your respective teams. ??) I am asking that this name calling stops so we can put all of our attention and efforts where they belong.... to all those young men who have worked so hard to make it to the playoffs and to all who will take the field for one last time on Friday night... They are what it's all about! To the Meigs County Fans, Sycamore is looking forward to travelling to Decatur on Friday night. We are still considered a fairly new school and are use to people saying they have never heard of Sycamore before. I even remember people in White House asking me where we were from in 2001 and laughing with me after the game saying they would never forget where Sycamore was located. I also remember folks in Jackson South Side asking where are "little guys" were from in 2003 and remember pulling our of Jackson and their fans assuring us they now knew exactly where we were from. But that was then and this is now.. Our boys are just like yours. They will run out on your field Friday Night and play with strength, heart and the conviction that if they give it their best they can win this game. I pray that both teams remain Injury free and that we as parents and fans set better examples for our young men. See you Friday night!!! GO WAR EAGLES
