good teams are not going to want to play you if they think you're not worthy.. now that both the boys and girls teams made it to state then coach arman can get a better schedule.. he tried to with the boys last year but no one would play because they thought riverdale wasnt "good" enough.. but now that they made it to state look for the schedule to have some pretty good competition.. i think if they want to win state then they would need depth because all the other teams sub often and riverdale never really subs

dude why you gotta hate on rod.. dont get me wrong i graduated from riverdale but in a couple years while rod is making plays for a big D1 school and you're not playing ball at all them im sure you wont be saying the same thing.. rod is a great athlete and if he is cocky oh well he has the right to be.. he is that good.. no one said anything when dave was so cocky.. rod doesnt get to touch the ball every play like dave did.. if smyrna actually had a line he would light up everyone.. just my two sents.. cause he has a chance to go to whatever school he wants to as long as he is making the grades in the classroom

and if im not mistaken i believe coch mid (whose a great guy and i played under) graduated from the dale.. haha.. kind of funny if you ask me.. but i am one of those people who believe that coach mid should be the varsity head coach

this is kind of off topic but how high is rod in the nation as receiver for the junior class? i know he is a great wide receiver and my brother told me he was being recognized nationally.. and dont bash sonny.. he is a great QB and one of the tops in the state.. next year he'll be even better.. i think he should go to a school that has a good baseball and football team like Notre Dame or Florida if he can get into schools like that for football.. but just wondering about rod.. i know him and hes a great person.. just a competitor.. thats all

no, no one has beat riverdale but teams atleast score and keep it within 21 points.. coach shad never keeps it close and sometimes never scores at all.. just an opoinion

very clean game.. and that clip was so obvious.. haha.. i think if rod would have makes that catch early in the game the game would have been different.. rod is an amazing player and a really great person.. hes just a competitor.. ive talked to him many times.. hes one of the best junior receivers in the country and if was on a better team would shine.. but riverdales game plan was better.. easy as that.. smyrna wont fire shad cause they always go 9-1 or 8-2.. but can never beat riverdale.. and i think that is enough for raikes.. but hey it was a good game and it was FREAKIN COLD.. but go warriors..

that is good research man.. i thought that same thing.. riverdale always made halftime adjustments.. like the playoff game when it was 0-0 at the half and we exploded in the 3rd quarter and 2nd half.. but thats in the past and tonights game will come down if riverdale can put pressure on sonny.. if so it could get ugly.. if not he will pick them apart worse than McCallie did.. just a thought to ponder.. and smyrna fans.. dont get your hopes up.. riverdale is usually really good against the run

are you joking? pretty sure last year when smyrna game to riverdales place rod was talking crap.. and the year before rod, johnson, and orona were all talking crap.. ive talked to all of those people and think they're cool people but they did talk crap and it proves that smyrna talks the talk but can never walk the walk

why pass the ball when you get 400 yards rushing a game? that would be stupid.. thats why scott never passes cause they dont need to.. the run the ball very well so as the saying goes "if it aint broke, dont fix it"

thats exactly the way it was last year.. who was gonna cover rod? they didnt need anyone to cover rod because sonny never had enough time to pick the DB's apart.. riverdale's DB's are not amazing you are correct but they werent last year either and what happened twice? yeah thats right smyrna lost both games..

are you kidding? when he had time he was throwing all over you guys.. their receivers couldnt catch a cold that night or they would have scored.. but that was a really great team and smyrna and coach shad dont know how to beat riverdale and there seems to be some problems within.. i for a fact knew that he favored wolke and then charles and johnson.. but hey if he just wants to kiss peoples butts then thats fine.. thats why he'll never have a championship team.. he has the talent.. just not a good coach

i agree but when he had time, he picked apart riverdale's DB's like crazy.. i by no means like smyrna at all.. im a riverdale grad and think they will win, but if they dont get pressure on sonny then he will pick them apart just like McCallie's QB did.. but smyrna always seems to choke when it comes to riverdale.. coach shad never seems to make half time ajustments while other coaches do.. should be a good game but i believe sonny wont have the ball as much as everyone thinks.. remember everybody and their mama gets to touch the ball in riverdale's offense and it takes up a lot of clock.. it will limit the smyrna posessions, thus limiting their points

well eventhough i graduated from riverdale i believe they will lose.. i still believe they have a strong team but mccallie is just a great team and its early in the season.. they have a D1 QB and in the past the warriors have had trouble against the pass.. and having all-state wr and rb says they should have a pretty balanced attack.. i will attend the game seeing as how i now attend UTC so its only like a mile away from campus.. i know some old riverdale people and some friends are coming to the game so should be a packed house.. i think riverdale will bring every bit of what it say.. not only that but there are a lot of people on campus who will probably come to that game cause its close and going to be a great game

i believe the kicked is supposed to be jasper driskill.. i played soccer with him this year and hes good at kicking a soccer ball.. so hopefully he will be good.. i know aaron bond is going to try and become the kicker as well.. so who knows who the kicker will be.. just a couple names ive heard

im sorry but the ref made a horrible call.. ridgeway had a corner in the first OT with about 20 seconds left and farragut had a sub.. he didnt stop the clock so the time ran out and they didnt get to kick the corner.. bad call if you ask me

well I like the list of the metro areas. San Diego county has been the best at producing good running backs. (Marcus Allen, Rashan Salaam, Terrel Davis, Ricky Williams, Reggie Bush) 3 out of the 4 are heismann winners. Plus Junior Seau grew up in San Diego. In other sports, Ted Williams and Tony Gwynn are from San Diego. Arguably the 2 best hitters EVER in baseball. Florence Griffith Joyner was from San Diego. So there are heismann trophy and Super Bowl MVP winning football players, MVP winning baseball players, and Olympic Gold Medalists. Not bad!!!

choate did pitch for riverdale.. he was pretty solid except for one inning when he gave up 3 runs.. then in the late innings gave up a solo home run

yes choate knocked in the winning run.. great composure from him after allowing 4 runs in the first.. tonight he just didnt have the stuff but his team helped him out.. congrats warriors
