  1. Yes, thats what I'm saying..........McMinn Central never had a shot to win state.......thats what I said a few months ago, and thats what I'm saying now. In my opinion, having a shot to win state means that a team is capable of beating anyone in the state (obviously in their classification). McMinn Central could not have beaten Bolivar, Mitchell, or Liberty......that was obvious if you watched any of those teams in the state. All I am saying is that you where talking all this stuff a few months ago about McMinn Central "having a chance to win state", and I told you then like I'm telling you now "no they do not have a chance." And yes, losing by 25+ is a "laugher"......just like the laugher a few years ago against Ridgeway. And yes, I did watch McMinn Central play other than their games against Cleveland (Bearden tournament, McMinn County (both games), Region Tourney, and state tourney. And yes, McMinn Central beat Cleveland this year (I don't know if I would call it "putting hurtings on them"), CONGRATULATIONS.......ITS ABOUT TIME! Like I said before, I wish Beau the best. I hope he makes to a mid to high major D1 school, but in my opinion he wasn't in the top 15-20 players at the state tournament. He has a long way to go in my opinion. I think its great that you love your school, but when your wrong admit it!
  2. BluNWhiteH8Tribe........I've been waiting for this day since January. By the way, its amazing how many post you have on Coacht. Do you have a life? Anyway, I went back and found our conversation when I said that if McMinn Central played Bolivar (or any other West TN team that was good- Liberty Tech in this case) it would be a LAUGHER! I even said it might be worse than there beating they took from Ridgeway a few years back. Your response stated, that McMinn Central was a different team now, and Ridgeway had Mr. Byars (currently at Vanderbilt, formly at Virginia). My response was that Central still had the same coach, and the same style of play (jacking it up on offense, and depending on their athleticism on defense). BOY WAS I RIGHT! You seem to act like you know it all......it's time to EAT SOME CROW! Your lack of knowledge of the game of basketball was revealed when you said McMinn Central had a shot to win it. Like I said then, and I will say now "your an idiot". As long as McMinn Central continues to schedule weak non-district opponents , and put more emphasis on offense than defense.....they will continue to make the state tournament because of more talent than most local AA teams, but not ever win a state championship. By the way, I wish Beau the best, but he can't play mid or high D1. Anyone that watched him play in the state tournament had to see that. He is one to the worst defensive players I have ever seen, and he jacks up way too many 3's.... he really cant shoot at all. I would like to see his 3 pt. shooting percentage for the year. Blake Derrick out played Beau.
  3. CONGRATS TO THE BLUE RAIDERS FOR BEATING COUNTY RIVAL BRADLEY CENTRAL 76-61.
  4. CHARLES LITTLE WAS THE LEADING SCORER FOR DAYTON LAST NIGHT AGAINST #8 GEORGE WASHINGTON IN HIS FIRST CAREER START. THIS GAME WAS AT GEORGE WASHINGTON. CONGRATS TO CHARLES. HE HAD 13 POINTS!
  5. Do you really think that Giles or MLK plays teams as bad as Polk, Sweetwater, Sequoyah, Boyd Buchanon? Your facts about strength of schedule are good;however, Giles and MLK were just some examples off the top of my head (forget I mentioned them eventhough they would probably beat Central).....what about the good Memphis teams. You keep talking about knowledge....a few years ago Central made it to the state (had a really good team similar to this year) and got WAXED by Ridgeway....I'm pretty sure they got beat by at least 30. Thats my point.....yeah you can argue that this team is different, but they play the same style (Same coach as then), and a similar schedule. How is that for knowledge......FOOL! You obviously haven't seen Bolivar Central play ( you would have seen them play in the state tournament last year, but you got UPSET by CSAS)?????????? I did watch them play......and if Central played them this year it would be a laugher. It might be worse than the Ridgeway beating. Why didn't you respond to the comments about Beau shooting forty footers every other trip, and them making only one or two passes on offense before someone JACKS it! What.......coacht don't have your facts to back that up? What you don't want to speak without knowledge? I know your a die hard Central fan, and you want them to win the state but that is a joke..... HA HA I have seen Central play McMinn County
  6. My lack of knowledge? Even if Central could beat MLK or Giles (I don't think they can if they lost to Fulton), DO YOU REALLY, TRULY BELIEVE THEY COULD BOLIVAR CENTRAL??????? Have you seen Bolivar Central play? It would be a complete joke if they played! You think MLK and Giles are average because of their record...... they don't play Polk County, Sequoyah, and Sweetwater. They play tough teams night in and night out. The only statement I really disagreed with in your first post was that McMinn Central could win the state.......anyone that is breathing knows that's a joke. So you think McMinn Central plays great team basketball? What is your definition of team basketball? My definition of team basketball is not shooting forty footers every other time down the floor (I'm referring to Beau). They normally don't make more than 1 or 2 passes on offense before they shoot, and yes I've seen them play. POTENT DEFENSE??????????? Wow.........thats funny! Anyone that knows basketball and has seen them play knows that they don't play good defense....their to worried about shooting. Only time will tell.......they should make it to the state tournament, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got upset again this year. You can't beat good teams playing like they do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. McMinn Central does not have a chance to win the state! To even say that is funny! Bolivar Central, Martin Luther King, Giles County just to name a few.......they would get blown right out of the gym against some to these teams. I wouldn't be suprised if they don't even make it to the state......they don't guard anybody and they play selfish basketball.
  8. Did anyone see this game? How did Bradley only score 38 points? Terrance Olgesvy only had 1 point? What happened? Anyone with any details.
  9. Do you have a boyfriend on Bradley's team? I thought you were a Ooltewah fan? You seem to love Bradley.....is there a connection?
  10. mnewballer21 Comments like these are exactly why I think your stupid. Bradley was sitting at home last week while Cleveland was playing at the show. You called Bradley's loss to Red Bank a "unlucky bounce"..... it wasn't like they lost on a last second half court shot....they got beat by 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To me thats not an Unlucky Bounce. Cleveland and Bradley played twice this year....with both teams winning at home. Cleveland is 2005 Region Champs & in the ELITE EIGHT...enough said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is your answer to who was better. If you want any respect on this board, think about what you post before you post it!
  11. Alex Goldston & Colby Dodd from Cleveland High School. Both are great players.
  12. Cleveland stayed in foul trouble most of the game with Little, Dodd, and Goldston finishing with 4 fouls and Goldston picking up his 4th foul early in the 3rd quarter. Little 19 Goldston 15 Dodd 18 Josh Jenkins kept Rhea in the game with a game high 23 points.
  13. Game was post-poned due to Chatt. Central not having heat in gym. Game should be rescheduled later.
  14. Who won this game? Coacht says Rhea Co. won, but the newspaper says that McMinn won. Who was it?
  15. Great coach!!!!!!! Lincoln County is lucky to have him.
  16. Cleveland won 60-45. They up by 22 at one point late in the 3rd quarter....sloppy 4th quarter. Charles Little 17 (all in the first half) Colby Dodd 17 Alex Goldston 9 (was in foul trouble)
  17. Smallie- Tie-breaker would go to Cleveland because they beat the higher seed (Bradley). Rhea and Cleveland split so you couldn't use head to head. I'm thinking this is right? If anyone can tell me different- please let me know? Cleveland #2 Rhea County #3
  18. I will take Rhea County only because its on their home floor! Rhea- 67 Cumberland- 62
  19. bcball and cbr, I must totally agree with everything you said. Guesswho? Cleveland led the whole game with Kellon playing, and as a matter of fact they got up by 10 in the second half. I hated to see Kellon get hurt, but that was not the reason Cleveland won- nor was it the officiating. The officials let the kids play and didn't determine the outcome for them.
  20. Imrightyourewrong- How can you say Cleveland plays its best ball against good teams- all they have on their schedule (except for Soddy Daisy) is good teams? They have the 4th toughest schedule in the state of Tennessee, and their record is 13-9 not 12-9! If they played an easier schedule, like most of the other teams in the area (like Rhea Co.), they would be 18-3 or 17-4 playing teams like Tellico and Grundy! Also, you commented on Cleveland losing to Oak Ridge by 27 and Cumberland by 10. First of all, Cleveland did not play two of its starters against Oak Ridge for disciplinary reasons- so they played that game short-handed. They led a good Cumberland Co. team the entire game, but lost the lead with about 4 minutes to go, and Cumberland made their free throws to win by 10! So, losing by 10 seemed bad, but it was a 1 or 2 pt game. Cumberland has a great team- ask Clinton!!!!!! Your latest rankings were on Feb. 2- Why do you not rank the teams based on what they have done the last month or so? In college, the polls change about every week- based on who beat who that week. If you had a good explanation of why Cleveland is not in the top 10- would be one thing, but your reasons do not make sense. The bottom line is that Cleveland has recently beaten 4 teams in your top 10.............. and it does matter that Jay Davis missed the first 8 games. Scarface33- What team's played their first 8 games without their best guard? I'm anxious to know since you said that Cleveland is not the only team thats had to play without all of their guys! Also, Cleveland's earlier loses to Chatt. Central and Rhea were without Jay Davis! Ask Coach Nelms (Central) and Coach Crowder (Rhea) if Davis makes a difference.
  21. Imrightyourewrong How can Cleveland not be in your top 10? They have beaten 4 of your top 10 teams, and played Bradley (@ Bradley) better than any team up to this point (lost 64-54)! You also have to remember that Cleveland played its first 8 games w/o their best guard (Jay Davis). beat Ooltewah @ Ooltewah the first game of the year (w/o Jay Davis) beat Chatt. Central a week or so ago killed Brainerd @ Brainerd by 17 beat Rhea Co. last night 66-60 Come on- they have to be in the top ten???????????????????
  22. Cleveland led most of the second half by 10-12 pts. Tim Cooper hit three 3's in the last 30 seconds to only lose by six(66-60)! Jay Davis had 25, Little 11 (played hurt), and C. Dodd had 14 points for Cleveland. R. Floyd had 19 pts, Cooper 14, and Hyatt 10 for Rhea! Great game- eventhough Rhea Co. did not play that well-Cleveland had a lot to do with that! They played great defense-especially on Tim Cooper (he didn't have a point at half time.
