  1. Tnvols01, you said he (CCS's post) wasn't even that good. That just makes y'all look dumber since he dunked all over two of McCallie's players. Watch the game tape and you WILL see that Devane was (sadly) under the basket when Mitch threw down.
  2. I'm sure this isn't the best dunk, but it was pretty nice. Mitch Groothuis, CCS's sophomore post, had a drop-step "and one" dunk on Taylor Devane (he was fouled by Suddath). It came out of nowhere and really got the crowd going. McCallie ended up winning by 3 and it was a great game to watch.

Yes, I have heard and read about that one as well as seen pictures of him doing it. I believe it. That kid is truly a freak of nature (in a good way). He is only a junior this year. That's scary to think about.

This is going to get out of hand.
  5. JumpAround...How can you say that when you know nothing about Cleveland other than the fact that they're 17-0? My prediction-Cleveland 65, Bradley 58 [Edited by Dale on 1-23-03 10:28P]
  6. CCS definitely proved they can play with the best, as they were up at one point 24-6. On the other hand, Temple also showed why they are ranked #1 in single-A. Being able to battle back from that kind of deficit really shows a team's character. Temple did the same thing to us last year. At one point we led by 15 and it was like they hit a switch that made everything go right for them. You gotta' give them credit. CCS is right there, they just need to get over the hump. I'm proud of my dogs, y'all know who you are.

Welcometoatl, that's a good question. I'll ask you the same thing-Where is MY 100 dollars? Haha, just playin', dude. I hope there aren't any hard feelings between us. How's the party comin' along?
  8. I go to Chattanooga Christian. [Edited by Dale on 1-16-03 3:55P]
  9. Actually I'm definitely more fond of the Spirituals than the Daisy Crazies, if for no other reason because the Spirituals don't get on here and talk about how great they are anywhere near as much as the Daisy Crazies. I don't go to McCallie, either.
  10. I'm 17, not very old now is it, chief? Other people on coacht who know me personally can confirm that I'm only 17. I played against Soddy my freshman, sophomore, and junior years and McCallie my sophomore and junior years. I'm a senior now and I didn't play basketball this year so I could focus on baseball. Once again, I have personally witnessed your chants and very few of them are original. On the other hand, I guess I shouldn't expect much originality from a student section whose name is a pitiful rip-off of Duke. You guys really exaggerate when talking about how potent your student section is.
  11. I'm happy that you have a source, but that source obviously doesn't know much...if he/she even exists. I have played against McCallie, played against Soddy, and been to both Soddy and McCallie games as a spectator. There is absolutely no contest between the spirituals and the daisy crazies. I find it ironic that you try to go around ripping people because their chants aren't original, when your name in itself is a ripoff of Duke (as was stated in an earlier post). I assure you, you did not invent You can't drunk/dribble/shoot. I have heard that chant in years past, but it never was chanted by Soddy until this year. Get over yourselves and get a life.
  12. Just so you know, we only return 8 starters. We lost one senior last year, Justin Magnusson. Boyd will definitely be looking for some revenge against us after last year's game. I'm sure it's going to be a good one even though they lost 3 key players in Chris Charles, Tyson Elliot, and Jason Stapp.
  13. I don't remember if Friendship Christian is in East Tn. or not, but if they are then I'd have to say their shortstop is one of the best I've ever played against. We played them last year in substate and that dude was smooth as silk. I can't remember his name, so someone else might want to put it on here if they know who I'm talking about.
  14. Is this game at Notre Dame?
  15. I think you mean originality.... I haven't seen many other teams besides Soddy, McCallie, Boyd, CCS, Lookout Valley, and Howard, but I don't see anyone having a better student section than McCallie. Go to a McCallie game and you'll know why I said that.
  16. Whatsup Ben, I saw you in blockbuster w/Josh and Brad the other night. Where you goin' to college now?
  17. Thanks a lot, swamp. It was bad enough that I had that song in my head, but NOOOOOO! You gotta' go and put the claymation in it too...Ahh! New song...Jing Bells, Jingle Bells...
  18. I played with Josh Hicks a few years ago, and he definitely has the talent to catch for any team in this area. The one question would be his attitude/work ethic. If he could get that straight, he could be a heck of a baseball player and definitely do something in college.
  19. It's kinda hard to say how Boyd will be this year compared to the rest of Single-A. I do not think any one team will be dominating this year. 1A is definitely having a down year after losing so many people from several teams. Boyd, in my opinion, definitely has the athletes and guards to do well, but their post game last year was weak. As for their post game this year, I cannot say anything since I haven't seen them play yet. They could be good, we'll just have to wait and see.
  20. Chism, I played on the Chattanooga Christian team that won state, and Martin Trimiew was 6'3. Henegar was no taller than 6'3, but he did play taller than that defensively. Our starting 5 that year were: Holwerda-6'5 Trimiew-6'3 Fordice 6'1 Cook, 6'2 (but now he's more like 6'4) Henegar-6'3 We would have had a 6'7 post player but he tore his miniscus near the beginning of the season. 21. Just wanted to tell Boyd good luck. Don't listen to what these people are sayin', and don't get overconfident, just go out and play your game. I saw y'all play last week against Cloudland and I was impressed. Keep it up.
  22. Sorry to say this, and no disrespect whatsoever toward Whitwell, but I don't think they stand a chance against CCS. They will be outmanned at every position, especially at guard. Whitwell just doesn't have the athletes to keep up with CCS at the moment. I'll say CCS by 25 or more. Good luck to Cack, Drew, and the rest of the team. [Edited by Dale on 12-2-02 7:04P]
  23. Dang, that's awesome. I knew he was good, but I didn't know he was capable of that. I've been told that Rome is a very good team too (is that true?). He must have really been feelin' it.
