  1. He's not that hard to tackle but he is very good for a sophmore. deceptively fast. hes only 5'11'' though. . .Calvin "Fridge" Bryant has to be the toughest player to bring down in the past who knows how many years
  2. Turnovers are always a factor, but all of Hillsboro's were near the middle of the field and not as crucial as they could be.
  3. because Overton does not play Hillwood or Hillsboro this year and they are undefeated in the region. I would hate to have to share a region title with a team that I knew I was better than and didnt get to play.
  4. hey columbia central, do us all a favor and beat Overton friday night
  5. Hillwood had trouble stopping Hillsboro's power formation for whatever reason. However, they got tougher as they got closer to the endzone. This, and a breakdown in the secondary led to way too much time of possesion for Hillsboro. Where are all the Hillsboro fans????
  6. hillwood is too athletic for White House. 309 yards from a sophmore? c'mon now
  7. ha ha BTW, Hillwood is going to take care of White House so I wouldn't worry about them.
  8. Good job, you reiterated exactly what I was trying to say. The defense keyed on Lewis and Rucker ate them alive. If Hillwood would have had the ball more they might have scored 40 or 50+.
  9. Columbia will expose Overton friday night if they can keep the turnovers down. Overton is lucky that they do not have to play Hillwood or Hillsboro. Does anybody know how serious the injury to Shelbyville's QB is?
  10. Rucker played very well for Hillwood. Lewis was not much of a factor but Hillwood continually had wide open receivers. Hillwood's defense struggled a little bit, but came together when they needed it the most. Hats off to both teams and good luck.
  11. Antonio Lewis had 23 carries for 151 yards and 2 tds Devulier Rucker was 10-18 for 165 and 3 tds Tony Dennis had 5 catches for 99 yards and 2 tds Lewis is up to 620 yards on the season with 14 tds
  12. Good game Lawrence Co.... yeah CoachT, or anybody, do u have stats?? I know hillwood had some pretty impressive offensive numbers
  13. I heard that the game with Hillwood next week is Lawrence Co.'s Homecoming? This could be bad for the town of Lawrenceburg as Coach Link may not be as nice to them as he was last week to White Co. Does Lawrence Co. have a chance? And if this is true, what was Lawrence Co. thinking when they picked Hillwood? Also, I think Hillwood's coaching staff showed a lot of class last week by pulling their starters early and not trying to run the score up. good luck to both teams.
  14. Hillwood started slow partly because I think they got a little overconfident. They came out fired up in the third quarter and busted it open. Fairview didnt have a chance to stop Hillwood's offense all night. The only time they got stopped is when fairview's offense had the ball. Hillwood used a PHYSICAL running game to pound over fairview all night. Good luck to both teams and congratulations to fairview for scheduling one of the big boys as it will make them better. fairview will be a tough team in 2A.
  15. Im not so sure that DCA won that scrimmage. However, Hillwood did not run much of their offense and if Coach Moore opened up the playbook like they did against Columbia or in a real game they would be liable to drop 50 on DCA. Hillwood is getting healthier and better by the day although they played without 3 of their starters last week. good luck to both teams and to that tiesler kid.
  16. There is no way Fairview is more physical than Hillwood. Maybe you should have watched the game on Comcast. Hillwood should win this game easily, but thats why they play the game
  17. Hillwood ought to finally be ready to make it a rivalry again vs Hillsboro.
  18. well since I dont have a NCAA rulebook lying around, would you please be so kind to assist me with a link or something to prove what the rulebook says? Would Gomab or somebody who knows please clear this up...
  19. Did you not read anything from the NCAA website? It doesnt say anything about age or grade. Why dont you eat your crow like a man and admit that I am right? You asked for proof from the NCAA and I gave it to you.
  20. Ok, I changed my mind... http://www1.ncaa.org/membership/membership...IMensbasketball That is the NCAA recruiting calendar which shows that NCAA coaches can have contact with recruits for about half of the year. During the quiet period, coaches can go to a players school and talk to them. During the contact period, they can talk to them at any time. During the dead period (about 2 weeks), coaches can not have any contact with possible recruits. During the evaluation period, coaches can watch a player anywhere but can not communicate with them. I think i got that right. So they can talk to recruits for some of the spring and fall and most of the entire summer (makes sense since they play during the winter). Also, how would you feel about Duke if Coach K came and watched you play? Like I said, Nic Wise was contacted probably in the summer PERSONALLY by LUTE OLSEN and was offered a scholarship. You better go back and check up on your stats. Game Over. I win.
  21. No, they can't sign a Letter of Intent yet, but they can give a verbal committment (like I said earlier), like all of those other recruits have. A recruit can back out of a verbal committment but it very very rarely happens. It is posted all over magazines and internet sites where these kids are going to school although most of them do not sign a LOI until the spring of their Senior year. You said a college coach cant offer a high school player, but yet most of the top recruits commit before their senior year. I dont really care to look up in the NCAA where it says that, but all the top college coaches go to the Nike and Adidas summer camps and talk to the players and thats when many of them commit.
  22. http://rivalshoops.Unapproved Website/viewrank.asp?ra_key=811 There is a list of the top Sophmores - Class of 2006. The aforementioned Nic Wise is on there as well as a kid who has committed to Pepperdine. Also, check out Brandon Wright checking in at #2.
  23. http://scout.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=75&p=9&...&pid=88&yr=2005 There is a link to a list to a list of the top JUNIORS in the country (albeit kindof outdated). Around 10 of the top 25 have already committed to play for their respected university. do you seriously think that players can not be offered scholarships until they are Seniors, or are you joking? I hope this is a joke.
  24. How can he not get offers yet? colleges can offer a middle schooler if they want. Last year Nic Wise, a freshman PG, committed to Arizona. Many sophmores have already verbally committed to colleges. but I guess Im just retarded... :justwrestle: On a side note, sorry to the CPA fans and players that yalls season lost like that, but you had a great year. It seems like yall got a little over-confident, but yall should be ready for next year.
