  1. Tim Cooper is underrated and I hope that he gets the recognition he deserves at the state tourney, but he'll have to perform down the stretch. I also think Justin Hare isn't given nearly as much credit as he deserves. He is so heady and strong, almost like Dane Bradshaw but probably a little more careless with the ball but at the same time Hare's athleticism exceeds Dane's. I think when Justin leads Bradley to the title everyone will finally notice him, and no one deserves it more than Justin. Also on Bradley's team is Alphonzo Pugh's brother, who I think is underrated as well. Although lacking size relative to his brother, Cori no doubt makes up for it with quickness and a jumpshot. Good Luck to Bradley in the state.
  2. Kristy can definitely play D2 or NAIA. It will be up to her whether or not she does, though. As far as her not starting or playing, she got caught in traffic and was ten minutes late to the game. Anyway, best of luck to Kristy, probably the most talented player in Chattanooga as far as I'm concerned, and to RB!
  3. It's okay for you crazies to be talking all of this trash, enjoy it because we beat you guys in EVERYTHING for about ten or twelve years in a row. And then the last couple of years you guys have won a few games. I congratulate you. In fact, I'll go so far as to say you even were better the last couple of years. But all that's going to change. So you can stop talking now. See ya'll at the game.
  4. I think that this year, RB will be ready to face any and all opponents because of their new head coach John Cherne. If the girls will do what he asks, I have no doubt the Lady Lions will place top two in the district. Kristy Minton will have to bring her A game and if she does, RB will roll. RB by 10
  5. RangerRob, it's not the greatest, it's simply greatest. No Robby Ware didn't join the team. And when I say athletes I mean Randall Smith and James Jones, both of whom are sophomores who will add some style to RB's game. And they have substance as well with quality players like Johnny Crane. Now on to the subject of your sarcasm, stop it, because it's dumb. So grow up and let's talk about basketball seriously. RB by 12.

  7. RangerRob, Nick Lawrence graduated last year, so obviously you don't know much about Red Bank. And Johnny Crane has only one sibling, and yes she did graduate from RB two years ago. Anyway, on to the game, RB will pull it out simply because they have a better team of athletes. SD will keep it close through three, but in the fourth RB will pull away, RB by 12.
  8. I don't know much about this situation except for what I've read and heard about on the web and in magazines, but I think that it's safe to say Tyler Smith is a little more than average. And also I agree with all the people who are bashing the "joe"guy because he is obviously mad for some reason. All I have to say is that sometimes you just have to give credit where credit is due, and I think Tyler deserves some. After all he is projected by some to go straight into the league, and if he works hard enough to do that, I hope you'll promote him to "above average." Good luck this year to Tyler, don't stop working because there are players out there who want to take your glory (i.e. the Delks, Brewer, etc.) and I promise you they won't stop working, so you can't either.
  9. It happens every year. Teams get all hyped up and have all the talent in the world but don't produce. I want to know who could be a potential flopper this year. Last year is district 6AAA, two teams with perhaps the most talent ended up being the worst two teams in the district, Red Bank and Soddy Daisy (Sexton and Britt). Also a Middle Tennessee team with two 6'8'' players took a huge dive, Smyrna with Warner and Swader. This year looks to produce similar results. All the hype about Ooltewah and Bradley, White Station and Raleigh Egypt. I want predictions on which teams will come up short of expectation, because not every team can win the state, only ONE.
  10. This post may be one of the few times that I agree with Gomab2 as far as his rankings go, with the exception of Jonathon Adams who I think should be top three. JuJuan is a great basketball player as is Hare. On down the list I think that Trey Tyndall is a good choice even though a lot of people overlook him. Moton only being in the honorable mention will soon change, just watch him play. And Cooper and Little are both great athletes, both are solid top ten in Chatt Town. So this post is complimenting Gomab, probably the only one you'll get, Shulman, so appreciate it.
  11. It's going to be interesting to see which one of us is right this year for this district. I'm sure that some of you guys attend school at these high schools you're defending so it will be partially up to you how your school finishes. I will, however, be watching and writing ever so often and letting you know if I'm right. And, Scarface, who is Ben Britt. I think I heard of a kid named Britt but I'm not sure if we're talking about the same person. Anyway, my last prediction on the outcome of the district still stands and will because I'm greatest.
  12. Bradley Central will win the state this year in AAA because they are too talented, too experienced, and too well coached. White Station will attempt to take the title but will lose. Hare is one of the strongest guard I've seen in a while and Pickel will shoot lights out, then Pugh is so versatile that he can do it all. And with the coaching they have and the years they've played together I think that they have the best shot in triple-A. OSB, there is no way Ooltewah could even compete with Bradley, and they won't even win their district, so let that go. And Opperman, I think that this year you will see that the east has a little talent too as your beloved Memphis teams fall to BC.
  13. Look, the bottom line is that anything can happen on any given night. You have to remember that last year Ooltewah got dominated by Red Bank at home and Red Bank finished last in the district. At the same time, Central got outplayed by RB but ended up winning, so the difference maker to me this year is going to be coaching and I think that Coach High at Brainerd wins that one. Last year he lost a lot of control due to Dozier and Jackson but this year he'll be in control of the best athletes around and they will win the district. I also think that it's possible for RB to finish in the top three, ahead of Soddy and Central. Ooltewah will be solid at the two. The other three are up for grabs. And "big dawg" if winning is all that matters, Ooltewah must be sad right now and I think they'll stay sad all year.
  14. I just want to ask Gomab why he thinks that middle and west Tn are such hotbeds for recruiting talent over east Tn. That's insane. Also, anyone can see that there is a bias for his beloved ballerz, because there is no way in the world that either of the Delk twins could compete with Tyler Smith. I think that he says so much about them just to try to argue, so stop Gomab, you're not fooling anybody. And try to give the east some credit, they have produced some pretty decent D-1 talent over the last couple of years, Jake Skogen, Adarius Bowman, Willy Idlette (football of course, but I think it still applies), Boyd Copeland, Ben Britt, Alphonzo Pugh, Matt Malone to name a few. Yes I'm sure that you can counter with a thousand names from the other side of the state, but will you try to consider that east Tn is just as talented as west, maybe not as numerous, but you can only play five guys at a time. I just think it's unfair to the talented kids not on your side of the state who are left off or downsized on all of your polls. Get out and try to see some of these kids play this year, and think about what you're saying when you try to convince people that a Delk (or both) could take Tyler Smith.
  15. Why is there no mention of any Chattanooga area players? I agree with Bearettefan in that those three players should definitely be top twenty in the state. Also, I think that Red Bank has a senior player that has been overlooked and I hope she stays that way so she can continue dominating misinformed opponents. I will not mention her name simply because I want you guys to read about her and hear about her for yourself, not from me. Just keep Red Bank girls basketball in the back of your mind, they will win their district (6aaa) and I think compete this year for the region title. So I said it first, no one will take credit for it because I, greatest, have claimed that right.
  16. You guys are crazy. There's no way that Ooltewah and Central will finish ahead of Brainerd. I don't care who they lost or who they got, Brainerd will put together a strong team and will beat the Owls and Pounders. Now you are right that Red Bank will struggle, but in this district anything can happen on any given night. I think that SD could end up ahead of Central. My prediction on the way they finish: 1) Brainerd 2)Ooltewah 3)Red Bank 4)Central 5)Soddy Daisy
  17. Red Bank has to win this Friday and they are very capable. I just wanted to write a post and get some insight into how the players feel about this game. I think that RB will win because of their running game and defense. Their special teams can't afford any mistakes, though. RB just keep your heads up and play this game, listen to your coach, probable the best coach in the state, and go to the playoffs, where you belong!
  18. I think that this game is a toss up, with Central losing to Rhea it just shows that anything can happen. And Hixson has the grit and determination to pull off the upset. I say Hixson 21-14!
  19. I'm sure all of these games were great games but they pale in comparison to the 2000 5A state championship in which Red Bank beat Riverdale. Gerald Riggs and company outplayed their opponent. Not to mention that the snow falling down creating a beautiful white covering on the field was breathtaking. The snow remained falling even after the game as the trophy was handed to the players and it was just awesome.
  20. Red Bank will win this Friday although it's a little far-fetched to say that Fabry will throw for 200+ yards, but I hope he does. RB will win because of their coach, Tim Daniels, who has his team headed in the right direction. I think that he could be the best coach in the state. Needless to say, RB will be victorious this Friday as they dismantle East Ridge, 28-10!
  21. Will someone please fill me in on the events that will have to happen for Red Bank to make the playoffs. I mean as far as their region goes, they've lost to Brainerd and Hixson but beaten Rhea so who else will they have to beat in order to go? Regardless of the situation, though, Red Bank is still the best team in my book, with the best coach around! Go Red Bank!
  22. Records don't matter, rankings don't matter, players don't even matter. This game is the most heated rivalry of the year. It's like Duke-UNC basketball. Throw everything out the window. Just keep your hats on and watch an awesome game.
