that's it! it does look like graymere.....couldn't believe we were in williamson county. ware would have had a field day with those guys throwing elbows and bodies!!
good game central
norman scores a pk with about 13 mins left in 2nd, followed soon by a goal by lance. pages goal came with about 2 mins left in game on a flying header that took out the keeper, losing home team gets the no call
nate had 3, matt momany had a sweet goal on an assist from bro michael.
zion's goal came late after a beautiful corner by elliot andrews dropped in front of the net.
CA is in the middle of a 2 week Spring Break. CA was missing 5 starters who were out of town and 1 starter with an injury. They had to use 3 freshman and an 8th grader the enitire game.
yeah, how did that one get by their keeper?
if ca makes their pk's, they'll win by 2
too early for predictions. the district playoffs between zion, page, fairview, and ca will be tough. any two of these could advance.
ca asked to reschedule the central game, win or lose they wanted to play them at full strength for obvious reasons. these redmond games weren't terribly important to win or lose. i think central said no to reschedule, so that 1 to 1 tie in preseason may be it for this year. central hasn't beaten ca since 2001.
ca's region reps will again have a very difficult task of beating the chattanooga area teams in the sectionals
columbia academy fielded 9, including 3 frosh and 1 8th gr, and took their medicine from cordova, losing 0-8, then regrouped with a few varsity players returning to defeat kingston 3-0.
sounds like maybe they do, but of course you accuse every school that has ever beaten mt misery (which is everyone) of recruiting
btw, how many tigger teams have been state champions/state finalists?
