  1. I think Loretto outscored Wayne Co. 2-1. I thought WC had a very quick fullback. He had several good runs. The teams were pretty well matched, although I wish I could have seen their starting quarterback.
  2. 79, What was the score of the scrimmage with Lewis Co.? I wanted to be at the scrimmage but couldn't make it. Thanks.

    Region 5-2A

Hey Everyone, I'm sure everyone is looking forward to starting the season. I'm trying to find information on what all the teams will look like this year. However, the last I checked, all the rosters on this site are incomplete for our region. Let's all make an effort to post the information that we know about our respective teams to try to fill in the blanks. Thanks for any help and good luck to all the participants in 5-2A football!
  4. Was it just me or did it not make you all feel a little strange to see the schedule and not find the Cowbell Game at the top of the schedule? I'm sure it won't take away from the rivalry, but it just seems strange. Good Luck Cats, I'll be pulling for you (except when you play the Mustangs).
  5. I heard tonight they will open with Speake High School out of Danville AL. I'm not for sure though. The best running back is Eli Fisher. From what I saw last year he could be very good.
  6. Who did Loretto schedule for their first game? It was still TBA on the schedule I saw.
  7. What a great game. According to most folks Loretto wasn't even supposed to be in this one. Great job coaches! Good coaching shows in close games. Good luck Mustangs against Lawrence Co.

    white Co

Anyone who saw the game knows what the "special" thing about Sparta is. It is #42 and the way he runs over and through would-be tacklers. I was very impressed with White Co.'s straight-ahead running style. LCHS gave it all they had but they just weren't quite big enough up front to handle 42.
  9. Great game number 4! You had some great runs. I wish the coaches would run some plays to the outside so you could get good matchups against smaller d-backs. I also wish y'all would run the option some. Lawrence Co. could have won by twice as much with a little more liberal play calling. At times the offense was as boring as watching paint dry. LCHS has the potential to win 6 or 7 games if they will open up their offense to match that good defense. Once again great game and even though I'm not a LCHS fan I'm glad the bell is back in the county!
  10. How did the scrimmage go? I hope Loretto finally got to scrimmage today.
  11. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with Lawrence Co. On defense they have good speed and were really flying to the ball. On offense they had several nice gains through the air and they had some good runs up the middle as well. I think the biggest thing was that it seemed like the coach had the guys excited about what they were doing and it really showed. Lewis Co. has a good ball team like always but they are smaller across both lines than I can ever remember them being. But they'll get everything settled and probably win their region again. Especially if they'll let their talented quarterback use his arm a little to loosen up opposing defenses.
  12. What time is the scrimmage on Friday?
  13. I am currently doing a highlight film for my alma mater. It is going great. The only problem is that I am having a problem finding the right music. I would appreciate it greatly if everyone would give me their favorite highlight music. I am open to any genre, as long as it is upbeat and free of offensive language. Title and artist please. Thank you.
  14. I am a Loretto fan, but I have to come to Lewis Co.'s defense. Loretto beat Lawrence by 14 just like Lewis did. The only difference is they did not have to come from behind to do it. I believe Lewis will come out on top in this one. Neither team has had tremendous competition, but Lewis Co.'s offense is usually hard to stop.
  15. I am probably one of the biggest Loretto fans there is. However, I think that Giles Co. will play extremely tough. As a matter of fact, Giles Co. was the only team to shut out Loretto last year. Another interesting fact, Loretto has had to kick a field goal in the final seconds of the game to earn a win in the last two games that were played at Giles Co. Over the last four years in this series the road team has prevailed. If Loretto plays up to their potential they will come out 4-2. My pick is Loretto 17 - Giles Co. 14.
