the hit was unavoidable. the hard shove to the back and rolling on top of knight was avoidable. even the umpire said it was. that was a dirty play caused by frustration and everyone who saw it knows that exactley what happened.

no offense but sycamore should have won both those games. but yeah i know shoulda woulda coulda. i just have sour grapes from sycamores season. they should have done alot more with all that talent. best of luck to creek wood and harpeth.

with that murderer row of a lineup, i believe harpeth could make alot of noise, if not win state. but if not, they r my #1 pick to win it all next year. and i know wilhite, warren, and walls will be missed. those r 3 very good ballplayers. there r alot of teams losing alot of keys players, especially sycamore with their 9 seniors.

it doesnt matter. pujols and/or arod will end up with the record.

cheatham is losing 4 starters; cochran, casteel, piper, and bell. montgomery central also loses bradley jackson. next year the best team in the district should be harpeth. i dont even think there will be a close second.

or what if sycamore somehow wins 3 in a row because of 2 good games and then harpeth plays a bad 3rd one. then in my opinion the best team in the district, harpeth, goes home.

sycamore-josh knight, reece crawford, brian bullard, jacob forbes, brent parker, bryan hawkins, chris mccmaster, winston vaughn, and kyle graham. 5 are starters, 2 r their 2 best pitchers, and one is the best dang courtesy/pinch runner in the state.

sycamore is playing creek wood, not harpeth. i agree, i dont like the new format. i mean if sycamore was automatically headed to regions i wouldnt mind as much, but i still wouldnt like it. but it is a good reward for playing a solid 14 game regular season distrcit schedule.

about the only chance sycamore has to move on to regions is beat a very good MC team, then hope creek wood beats harpeth, then beat a very very good harpeth team. thats going to take alot of good baseball and some help from the red hawks.

ill tell ya this much. carrigan and pomeroy r two of the BEST catchers around and theyre only juniors. those good should get alot of looks.

im sure it will be parker and mills pitching. i havent talked to him today but im sure hes a little sore but hes used to about 110 pitches so it shouldnt be any worse than usual. the sycamore game will be at 430 followed by the harpeth game. whos going to pitch for creek wood/harpeth monday night?

yes he pitched all 8 innings with about 130 pitches.

creekwood won on a walk single by matt tidwell and harpeth won on a walk off double by catfish hale in the 8th. 2 great games to bad sycamore had to lose.

im not really feeling any baseball today, thats weird. but if its still played i would love to see sycamore pull it out. it could go either way with erland and knight on the hill.

im not sure how many players from each team get selected. i think it might be 1st gets 6, 2nd gets 5, 3rd gets 4, etc.

hes not talking himself up. he just wants a college to sign him. whats wrong with that? the only thing he ever talks about himself is strike outs and if i struck out that many people i would too. but anyways sycamore won 5-4 tonight against waverly. waverly played hard and scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th. i believe harpeth and sycamore r playing friday(if the rain holds off). and im sure both teams aces will pitch. should be a great, low scoring game.

if im not mistaken, brad frazier from harpeth is trying to help a rival schools pitcher out too. thats a nice thing to do and all coaches should be like that. it doesnt take that much effort to get a player into a college. no talent should be wasted because of laziness.
