Westmoreland beat Tyner at home in 2000. Hopefully the seniors on the team that were freshman that year haven't forgotten that game and will come to play.

Take a trip to Orange Mound and then ask that question.

Why do you not like coming to Tyner? The only reason that I can think of would be the drive. How far is it exactly?

Tyner- has two of the states top five recruits, including the #1 player in the state and #2 ranked DE in the country. Just trying to give some love to the smaller schools.

In the paper it said that the coaching staffs from both schools were involved in the fight. Isn't Coach Brown's son a member of the staff? He's a pretty a big guy, I would hate to see him go one on one with one of the older coaches.

We look forward to hosting Westmoreland when they make the long ride to Chattanooga next week.

Demonte hasn't been mentioned much this year, because he has missed 5 games due to an injury and a staph infection. However, Greg Smith has been dominant this year and will hopefully join Demonte next fall at UT.

I was glad to see the article that Hargis wrote about officials being held accountable. It isn't right for grown men to be biased against teenage kids. I'm glad that the one official was suspended, but the others didn't exactly discourage him.

Sounds like Cleveland is starting to heat up.

Tyner-47 Meigs Co.-0 The Rams scored 2 touchdowns on their first 3 plays, and then got sloppy before they put one in before the half. They picked the tempo back up in the 2nd half, and only had 3 penalties for the entire game.

They should have suspended the entire crew, but hopefully it will not be as bad tonight.

If they play like they're capable of they will.

All of the teams that have been mentioned still have a long way to go. One bad night in the playoffs and your season is over. I would love to see Tyner win it all again, but they will have to beat some very strong teams to do so.

This team doesn't have anywhere near the secondary or linebackers that the 97' team had. If they're going to win state this would be year, because they have to reload on the offensive and defensive lines next year. I believe that the team is motivated after playing like garbage last week, so they should have something to prove. I wouldn't be surprised if the score is one of the ugliest of the season.

Tyner must try and get back on track this week when Meigs Co. comes to Tyner. It is homecoming week, so hopefully the team will have the passion and intensity that has missing the last couple of weeks.

Time to move on.

They normally don't call penalties on a team that is getting blown out like they were last year, but like I said I'm over it now. Tyner has to get back on track with Meigs Co. this week.

The play in the third quarter was called a lateral, so he didn't have to have control of the football. You could call holding on every play against any team if you wanted. I just find it hard to believe that for the second week in a row, we've traveled to the valley and the home team had no penalties. Teams like McCallie and BGA that we've played and that are known for having great discipline had at least a few penalties, but the game is over and I will try and give it a rest as long as somebody else doesn't get on here giving reasons why Tyner will never win state instead of worrying about their own team.

I know that when I was out of school on a game day, I was doing a lot of stuff that I wouldn't have if I had been in school.

At least they will be in the second round. If they play the way did against BGA, no one will beat them.
