Big money you first of all need to be smart enough to read what is being said. I think KC is a great coach. You dont win that many state championships unless you and your staff are extremely talented. The post this morning about Grundy was more a jab at Del (whom I relish giving a hard time) than it was at the Grundy football team or staff. When you get beat 33-0 you were probably outcoached as well as outplayed. I know that Jasper and Grundy are extremely loaded with big time talent and speed with all the SEC players over the years at their respective programs, and coaching would never factor in. I dont have any teams that I consider mine in the Sequatchie Valley area. I am from Murfreesboro and follow Riverdale. Have for many years. Riverdale is loaded, but I guess with a 90% winning percentage Gary Rankin cant coach either. Big Honey...Which team do you claim to follow the one down in the valley with all the NFL talent? I guess your like all the rest of those people that played down there and think you know everything there is to know about coaching. I cant wait to read your reply!

I agree that some teams dont get the coverage that they rightfully deserve, but gradfrom nest or whatever for you to ask if Walker Valley and Grundy even play football is extremely disrespectful, especially from a place like Ooltewah. How many state championships, or for that matter even district or region championships have you had. For that matter winning football teams. For years they have been basement dwellers. I think that the staff there as well as players have done a good job of trying to get that turned around in say the past 5 years, but for you to come with a ccmment like that is a joke. I can see that coming from Riverdale, but Ooltewah. If you dont think that this is the truth then put that comment out on the board and see what response you get! Choose your words carefully...

What happened to Grundy last night? I would have thought that it would at least be a game. Scoreless? Was Fults playing? Is Walker Valley that good? Who is coaching there now? They must be doing something right and they must have some pretty good players. Its all about the players. If you have Eddie Moore, Sam Pickett and Tim Starkey you win the State right? Woops no you dont, but you have to have players!

Not a chance. I just think that the coaches in Grundy will do a good job. Greg Brewer is a good young coach that no one knows about. He is a good defensive mind. Colquitte is a winner reguardless of what you think of him as a person.

If you do I say congrats. I wish that you all could get something going with South Pittsburg on a year to year basis. Call Coach Grider and see if he`ll get you on the schedule for next year.

Its time for MC to win a big game. You should beat Page because a very average Marion Co. team beat them this year and Im sure that your speed is much better than theirs. They have no passing game to speak of. You have to be better than them in the kicking game. You should win. Blow them out!

Its really good that you are blocking extra points. You all are doing a better job in Dunlap than in the recent past. I think that you have to go into South Pitt and play solid defense and throw the football. They have never been able to defend the pass ever. You must tackle defensively and not let them on the corner on you. Pursue the ball on every running play. Be special in special teams another area of extreme weakness in South Pitt for years. Lastly you all have to think you can win, dont go down there and be intimidated!

I am going with Grundy even though Del is a fan of theirs. I think that they started slow, but if they can get Fults off then they will win.

Get all the players out and keep them out for football. I dont think that the community and players have the work ethic and determination that it takes(yet!) to be successful. Players make plays. You must keep all of your players out and not let them quit and whatever.

Once again I think it will be your typical SValley game. Good teams, no speed. I agree with Bill that Coach Green has done a good job restoring some interest in Whitwell football that at one time in the 80s and 90s was almost completely gone. I think that it is kind of the in thing to do now in Whitwell, playing football. That is great for the game and for the fans in the area. Tough loss to a better football team at Boyd. I am interested to see how the Warriors rebound after a tough los last week. I think theyll rebound though.

Typical upper cumberland team. They are soft mentally and would probably rather play basketball or baseball if you asked them. They have never had any type of tradition that I can remember in football. There is a reason for that beyond coaching. It is the type of person that you find in Crossville. It is not however entirely impossible to get that tradition started if you are smart enough to get it turned in the right direction. Great feeder programs are a good start and then coaches, administrators, faculty, and most of all a community dedicated to getting the thing started is the main factor. How much speed does Crossville have? If you cant run its hard to play football.

With all of the speed on the team in Dunlap this year they will all run right past poor Tellico. Dont you think Indian and Sequatchie?

Because the big pumpkin and his entire staff are arrogant and would rather recruit the likes of the most recent quarterback and his brother rather the likes of a Pennington. They are interested in how their recruiting class rank is rather than how good a football player they are recruiting. They really didnt even want Westmoreland and were in late on Eddie Moore.

I just feel strongly that there needs to be some type of division. I think that there is enough traffic on each classification to make it feasible. If the name of the school could link it into the proper classification for crossover games such as 2a vs. 3a etc. I hope that this is developed. This is a great site and with all of the traffic it would help with the problems that I think all of us have on a daily basis. Keep up the good work CoachT. Im sure that you could ask DelTavian. He is from Grundy and they usually have some really 21st century ideas.

This is a great website, but I find that I really have to search for the last thread that I posted on. Why cant we seperate the classifications. This would make it easier to find things. I know that you will have some crossover when say a 1a team plays a 2a team, but it would still make it easier to find things. Just a suggestion to try and make things better.

I told you once already that I was at the Riverdale/Lincoln Co game on Friday. Riverdale is for real. The only team to be able to play with them is probably MBA. Are you from Grundy County? Did you play? What position did you play? The only thing I want to make sure of is that all threads and comments are treated equally. Last fall I got on here and all I did was point out the fact that neither Wayne Turner at Tyner and Vic Grider at So. Pitt took any credit for their losses in the play-offs. In their postgame interviews with the Chattanooga Times they clearly laid the blame for the loss on the players and never once mentioned that they may have had a hand in the loss. That is all that I was pointing out and my thread was repeatedly taken off the board. I feel that this is unfair. I see other people being critical of other coaches and the threads remain. I think that Vic and Wayne have done good jobs with their respective programs. No question. I was only pointing out that as far as their players had taken them that they accecpted no responsibility in loss and that is wrong. Furthermore, I, (myself included), choose words more carefully when writing on topics on this board. There is nothing more aggravating than a bunch of rambling about nothing. I enjoy our dialogue and hope that it continues. Lets dont let this ongoing discussion become petty and resort to name calling...etc. Can you assure me that all threads will be treated equally and all persons opinions respected as long as it is done in a tactful manner? I am asking you this because you are a moderator on this board. I think you guys in Grundy are very fortunate to have a staff as good as the one that you have there. Even though KC and the sunshine band will ruffle some feathers at times. I think that they will take you further than only you talent.
