so you condone profanity... that's how it is in marion. if tssaa condoned profanity, then there wouldn't be a rule, would there? well, down here in hixson at least we use the correct tenses of verbs when speaking. ex: "they both WAS tired..." correction: since they is a plural pronoun, the verb should coincide with its subject. therefore, you should've used WERE instead. i might not be an english teacher, but two years of college have at least taught me subject verb agreement. oh yeah, check your source... but nokona2 isn't mcclure, its his best friend that was the #2 man on the golf team... hence the 2 at the end of nokona.

I think it would be an upset simply because Hixson has to be beaten twice. Any team that has not lost in a double elimination tourney should probably be the favorite. With that said, the game tonight should be great. Any idea who will pitch for each team?

The whole idea of baseball is competition and if that competition can kill somebody then something needs to be changed. This isn't football. I think the change should be made first in college and then phased into the high school games.

I've got one that isn't from around here, William Stout. I also have two family friends, that attend Baylor that are receiving financial aid so they can play baseball. I would also guess that Coty Green is receiving some money. And pressure from a coach will help a "select individual" get enough money to attend the school.

If yall were wondering, i figured out why McCallie was able to escape with such an easy victory. Hixson was down 7-3 after the 5th inning and the coach pulled the starters and came out in the 6th inning with a completely different lineup. It was then, against a weak and inexperienced 2nd team, that McCallie was able to go wild offensively. A bad coaching decision beat the Wildcats today. A 4 run deficit is not impossible to overcome since the Wildcats normally have their best innings late in the game.

If Smalley is the 2nd best pitcher,which I don't think he is, it is not to Sitz, plus Grundy isn't in the Chattanooga area. Sitz may be a better hitter, but he is not a better pitcher.

Nope that point guard definitely wasnt Green, it was Helton. And that pop gave Henderson a technical foul too, Real Smart on Henderson's part. And Hixson only plays Grundy once because they are on the other side of the district.

Whats with everybody wanting to knock hixson because of their schedule? I dont see why this is always coming up when people know they have to play Howard and Tyner. If you got beat by them or are not ranked as high, stop using this as an excuse. A schedule is not as flexible as most people believe.

the reason hixson couldn't play against soddy last week was b/c of the rain ding dong! it seems to rain out the entire tournament each and every weekend. it was no different last weekend, and as you may recall, everyone only played one game on saturday, and maybe got one in on sunday. anyways, hixson wasn't scared tonight after their 3-2 win at home. with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, mcclure hit a opposite field HR to tie it at 2-2, shoemate reached on a dropped third strike, green reached on an error by the shortstop, and smalley drove in the winning run on a RBI single to center. comeback kids part II...

Sandlot, its never a bad thing to have parents as supportive as Small's dad. I would say there are alot of kids around this area who could have been alot better if they had parents who were that supportive.

Does this kid see a pitching coach on a regular basis because when i knew him he was not a pro quality pitcher. but i hope he has a good season.
