  1. Who is Rebeljohn? I know for sure he is not a Maryville Rebel because they have MUCH MORE class than that stupid reply to my post. Maryville fans are cool. Heritage fans are cool. Rebeljohn is a joke.
  2. Thanks for the encouraging words, RebelRon. Our team can be scrappy. I am proud of the boys. As I said in an earlier post, we just cannot seem to play for 4 quarters. But I have a pretty good feeling about tonight. Whatever the outcome, we will be there to play!!!!! I am already getting up for the big fun bus ride down 75. About 15 of us are going in a Coach bus, good times!!!! ROLL RED ROLL!!!!!
  3. We shall see.... I also think it will be a good game and it is for respect. The Mountaineers just have not seemed to get it together for an entire game yet this season (with the exception of Farragut) and it is vital that we play all four quarters. I am looking forward to the LONG trip down 75, we are taking the big ole touring bus and tailgating and cheering on the Mountaineers. Go #82!!!!!
  4. Saintdog, Maryville (or more commonly know as MURVUL) is only about 20 minutes from Knoxville, south down 129 to the airport and you are there!!!
  5. Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. I wish the best to you guys too. Email is coming, Coach.
  6. Speedy, I really respect your attitude and your maturity. My son is also a Senoir on a team with much the same type of issues. In fact, you will be meeting him on the field this Friday night. I sincerely hope that both of these struggling teams (OHS and HHS) can have FUN Friday night and know that they have played with all they have. BTW, my son is a DE, he broke his hand last Friday night and may or may not get to play, but he will still be there cheering his heart out, laughing with joy if they succeed and crying if they don't. So, good luck to you and yours, good luck to my guys and MUCH RESPECT for you, Speedy!!!
  7. I do not quite understand your remark about: Soddy Daisy 33 Heritage 0 Which game would you be referrint to? The score Friday night was Soddy Daisy 16 Heritage 7 Very close, very good game. Were you even there???????
  8. I think I will go for WM BLount this week.... they are the team that can surprise the Wildcats and no better deserving team. I would love to see that game.
  9. GovMan, I sort of resent the remark about Heritage. Our boys get enough of that from other kids. I realize that was a hypothetical statement and not from your lips, so I guess I will let it pass. But that kind of talk about our team is what hurts the boys morale. I know that we do not always make the plays, and there are problems that go way back, but my boy, for one, practices as hard as the "winners" and he plays his heart out every Friday night. SO.... you will not get the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner this year!!!!! Heritage played very well against Farragut. Then came Maryville and Oak Ridge and those games were ugly. We should have beat Alcoa, we just did not play for four quarters. Last night against Soddy Daisy was again a great game, our boys played very well. I, for one, FULLY SUPPORT Heritage Mountaineers, Coach Corum and the crew and #82.
  10. Wonder where Ole' Susie has been lately?
  11. We played Alcoa, and YES we got beat. First half was pretty good (8-8 at the half) but we did not follow through the second half. Although it does not appear so, HHS has some mighty fine athletes.
  12. Oh Susie, my HERO! You do not know how good it feels to actually have MY TEAM picked by you to WIN!!! Homey,Swaff, Myers, Big Richie, Whit all say.... Thanks Suze........
  13. I am not sure if I have just been insulted or not......
  14. Heritage has a little guy too, Clack may be 5'2" if he stands on tiptoe. But he is tough as nails. He is a soph, my son played middel school ball with him also and he never backs down. He broke his leg in freshman season alst year, but he still gives his all. He has a great knowledge of football, and a HUGE heart. I do not think he has been on the field yet this year, but I am sure he will be next year some.
  15. Lincoln Co, do you have Coach Golden now?
  16. This is EXACTLY what I have been trying to achieve at my school....unity on Friday night. Can you imagine going to a HS football game and not thrilling to the sound of the band marching into the stadium? We are all in this for our kids, and band parents are JUST as proud of their claranet player as I am of my DE/TE son. It is all a total package.... band, cheerleaders, players, trainers. Just my opinion............
  17. Actually, I think you may be playing tricks on Mama! But I can't loose any sleep over it, right? You sure know my boys. Rusty, I am an open book!!!!!
  18. Susie As much as it pains me to admit...... you MAY be right about GovMan. I did some extensive research and I am finding some real hints. But I promise I did not have a clue until I did my research. Rusty This is mostly the secret I was talking about. But if you ahve any more good secrets to share, I am game!!!!! GO MOUNTAINEERS.......
  19. Yep, I spoke to him briefly, there was a bon-fire last night and he was kind of late getting in. I told him that we had talked, and that I had your email address, he said he would tell the guys. I am sure they will be thrilled to speak with you, well MOST of them..... Have you guys got a good game going on tonight? A bunch of parents are getting together to tailgate tonight before the game. What kind of special things does your school do? GOOD LUCK TONIGHT!!!!
  20. You are probably right..... but I am discovering a LOT of "secrets" on this board. Interesting......
  21. As a former Bulldog, I will mention a few Everett High School players: Bobby Nick Doug Garner Mark Grubb... btw his boy at Wm Blount looks JUST like he looked in '75, kind of spooky!!!! Any more from EHS you can think of?????
  22. You're busted, GovMan!!!!
  23. NOPE, I do not know who the Gov Man is. Might be my brother, The Voice of the Govs, I don't know. I will maybe figure it out!!!!!
  24. Susie, I am not sure if I am related to Gov Man or not, I do not know who he is. I found this board by doing a search on Tennessee Prep Football. And I am having a blast! Rusty, do I know you?
  25. Rebelsman, got ya!!!! How are you doing? Gov Man, no relation to Dick's Sporting Goods, wish I was! The name comes from my boy, he is Richard, so of course he is Dick to his teammates. Yep, he has big ole feet, he is in a 16 now. I have to special order most shoes! Well, since I discovered this board I have encountered one of our old coaches and I see I may have found some more friends. This is fun, but I spend WAY too much time on here. Does the fun wear off?????
