It's actually "The Beast of The Big East", get it right. But I do hope they play Lincoln Co. in the playoffs with both being undefeated. It would be a great year. But if DB does happen to lose that one, they can go home proud knowing they had a great year when nobody gave them a chance and now look where they are. Not bad for a rebuilding year. Look for next year to be even better for the tribe... TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

No question about it, Darrell Hayes IS the 2nd best receiver on this team. Dustin is a close 3rd he just has bad hands at times (like last year in the semi-finals against Riverdale). The only problem with D. Hayes is that Duran doesn't look his way enough. Hayes is quick enough and fast enough to be open on every play but it seems like he's only catching 1-3 passes a game and he should have the ball in his hands more. We have all seen what he can do on those punt returns where he has 2 or 3 returned for TDs. But in this game,. DB big. I'm guessing 42-10. Coach Clark won't make it look that bad. He has too much class. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

They are good, however DB DID beat them. I would say they have to be the team to beat right now. 7-0 ranked 1st in the state....

Next Friday the undefeated and #1 ranked Indians from Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett travel to Knoxville to take on the Knox Karns Beavers. What are everyone's thoughts on this game? Also, have they even won a game yet...?? TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

Somebody get Dan outta here cause he just said the stupidest thing I have ever seen! First of all, we played the worst game all year against Bearden, and won, played a SOMEWHAT decent game against Jeff. Co and USED them (The score was 34-23 but they made a last 2nd touchdown against the JV to make it seem closer) and Jeff Co played horrible because of DB's smothering Defense that nobody seems to think is that good when all they do is stop people. Neither Jeff Co. or Science Hill can beat DB and it will be proven. Halloween night, the TRIBE rolls over Science Hill by over 2 TD's, and is AGAIN the big east champs!! TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

I disagree Dan. Yes, Jeff Co. has a good offense, but you are forgetting that Dobyns-Bennett beat Jeff County and scored 34 on them. No defense in the state can contain DB's high powered offense when they are clicking like they are right now... TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

Sounds like it was a great game. Especially in the 2nd half. Science Hill receivers choked though dropping 2 wide open touchdowns. I will give it to them though they have a really good team... However, neither Science Hill OR Jeff County are going to beat DB...You can bet your house on that! By the way, Tribe rolled tonight 35-10 over Sevier County with Lamon Williams and Brian Woliver both out of this game and the JV playing the whole 2nd half. Impressive... Can we say BIG EAST CHAMPS....AGAIN!!! TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

DB Big with Darrell Hayes having a big name since Lamon is not playing. Also watch for DBs to have a huge game with the run offensively. DB-42 SC-21

What exactly happened to Lamon and Chase Friday night??

Lamon Williams, a Soph. from Dobyns-Bennett has to be by far the best wide receiver in East TN, and I would bet he is the best in all of TN. He is an exceptional athlete and earned All-American honors last year as a Sophomore.

I don't know very much about the caliber of those teams in Middle TN, but I do not that if Lincoln County does win out in the regular season they will probably end up having to play Dobyns-Bennett somewhere down the line either in the state or semifinals, so don't get too happy just yet. That should be a great game and I will definately be in Murfreesboro for that one. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

I don't think DB played a great game against Jeff County. The only thing close to being great so far is the way they played the 2nd half against Oak Ridge. Now that was a great half. The Jeff County game was good, but not as good as Duran has played. He looked like an all-stater against Oak Ridge the 2nd half, he was a true leader but the Jeff County game he looked more calm and didn't play wtih the sense of urgency he needs to play with in my opinion. Come playoff time though, that shouldn't be a problem. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

I think DB has a great shot of winning the state championship this year. THe only thing that weighs on my mind is Duran Fergueson. He is an outstanding quarterback when he is on but if he does have a bad night come playoff time, that might be the end of the Indians' season. However, if the line keeps playing like they have and keeps giving him time to throw, I don't see him having a bad night with receievers like Lamon, Darrell Hayes, Phillip Tritapoe, Matt McMillian, and Walker Throp. Put all of that together with Chase Flanary and Walker in the backfield....pretty much unstoppable on a good night. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

Well it seems unanimous to me that most people agree that Lamon Williams is the best receiver in the state. I am at about every single DB game and I see what this kid does week after week and its amazing. The best receiver I have ever seen play around here at the high school level. He could have went to a major D-1 college as a sophomore. He's going to be able to go about anywhere he chooses whenever he graduates, which is another year, because he is a junior...

I think DB has the most powerful offense. All this talk about Oak Ridge when DB is the team that beat them scoring 35 I believe it was. They are murderin people right now. Just ask Jeff County about it... TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

I don't know about all of that. Duran is a good pitcher don't get me wrong, but I don't know about him being as good as he is at quarterback. He has an excellent arm so sure he can pitch but hes also a good shortstop. The top pitcher next year will probably be Ben Allen, a Junior. Duran will be up there though... JCPatriots....you say Lamon doesn't impress you very much then you go on to say they will put 3 guys on him all night long. All I gotta say is......hahahahaha that is a big joke. If your coaches are dumb enough to put 3 people on Lamon then D. Hayes and Dustin Gaines and the rest of the DB receivers will have a field day against your D. You haven't even seen Lamon at his best yet. He can be as good as he needs to be. Against Bearden I think they only threw his way 1 or 2 times because they didn't need him as much, but last game he caught I think 7 passes about I would guess 4 or 5 were for HUGE first downs. Trust me, the film does not do Lamon justice. You all go in thinking he cant hurt you and he might put up 200 yrs receieving and if you think you can put 3 guys on him then go ahead, but get used all night by the other guys. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

Say what you want I never said we will shut it down...What I did say was that you will have to outscore the DB offense to win this game, and my friend, I don't think that will happen. DB has a great defense, and an even better offense with pass protection which just keeps getting better. Brag all you want about your all-state receiver but I guarantee you he is not even close to being the player Lamon is. Sophmore All-American last year, and did all of that in an option offense. Its crazy how good this "manchild" is. Anyways.... DB-36 Jeff Co.-21 TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

youre right Lawyer I didnt mean to imply that he was your offense because he certainly is not. But bring Scooter, Jennings, Carson, whoever it doesn't matter because DBs defense is too powerful and you will not be able to run on them all nigth and with the Defensive backs that DB has, I would suggest not trying to pass either, just ask Oak Ridge. They killed us by running then that got shut down and they had to pass the ball, and they constantly went 3and out or got intercepted by Darrell Hayes. Im not saying we will completely stop your offense because you obviously have a good team I am just saying DB will contain them at least and to beat us you will have to outscore us which is a VERY hard thing to do.... TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

Enough about this band crap... It doesnt matter that those suspensions got overturned because they wont be able to do anything against DBs defense. Booker, probably the best running back in the state, got held by the tenacious tribe except for 1 kickoff return for a touchdown, but other than that he didn't hurt us and he is much better than Scooter. Not only that, but your defense can not stop DBs passing attack led by Junior QB Duran Ferguson and top wideouts Lamon Williams (Soph All-American last year) and Darrell Hayes. Just dont get 2 caught up in the pass and get ran over by Chase Flanary or get your ankles broke by Walker Throp. DB-36 Jeff-21
