Jefferson County doesn't look ahead... yeah they did in past years but not anymore.... Jefferson County's offense and defense have just been getting better and better every week. I remember the Oak Ridge/ William Blount thread where it was stated that WB didn't have very much speed. Without speed there is no way to stop Jennings and Houston... NOTE: there's no way to stop them anyway. Jefferson County has gotten the passing game going stronger than it has been in several years. William Blount better be ready for a fast pace, hard-hitting football game because Jefferson County is gonna lay it to them... JC vs WB all time record.... 7-1 Jefferson County.... Todd Collins and Brent Collins from Jefferson County both played in the NFL. Todd went to the super bowl w/ the Patriots a while back and won w/ the rams a few years ago.

It makes me feel good that Bearden players still have confidence in their team even though a tough season..... that is very respectable... and even w/ my prediction of 41-15 JC wins, Bearden is definitely not a pushover. They played DB hard.... but They are just lacking the speed to get Jefferson County too much trouble.

Science Hill seems to still be playing decent but they struggled too much with Campbell Co. to me to favor them in this game... Don't get me wrong.. i want them to win.. Sorry DB... but DB will win by a touchdown or less. Lamon will be the difference in this game! Enjoy the game folks... Go Toppers!!!

From what I have heard Soddy has a pretty good football team but I don't believe that they have the ability to shut down Oak Ridge. Oak Ridge will win this one by 2 or 3 TDs.

I heard how the game went through part of the first half and it surprised me. I figured DB would be pumped up and ready to kick some tail, but I guess even a loss wasn't enough to get them going... it took being beat by Campbell Co. for a while. I wasn't at the game so I really don't know what was going on but maybe DB decided to put Lamon in and that's why they were able to pull out the lopsided victory. Just wondering why they had trouble with Campbell Co for a lil bit?

Jefferson County does win this one significantly.... They will come out running and won't stop til the 3rd quarter. Jefferson County's speed is just too much for the Bulldogs. Bearden has been said to have a pretty good defense but they will be playing a team that is averaging over 40 points a game against 3 running backs averaging over 8 yards a carry. Jefferson County's defense has stepped it up big time in the recent weeks with the shut out at Sevier Co and the last second score by South Doyle last week. Jefferson County wins big.... Coach Meadows from Jefferson County.... from being a LUCKY 5-5 team 2 years ago to a 7-3 team last year to a 7-1 team so far this year with the only loss to DB. He completely turned the program around. He knows how to coach!

Again... somehow every single forum about Big East football gets turned into a DB-Jeff mouthing contest.

I've said it before and Lawyer and I discussed it yesterday.... DB did win b/c of big plays... whether they were part of the offense or not it's a big play if it breaks the back of the opponent. But think about it a second... DB was not able to drive on the Pats. One big play here, one big play there and the game was in DB's hands. I'm glad you're so confident that DB will beat us in the playoffs. That way we can prove you wrong.

Jeff Jennings, Jr. does deserve this... on top of everything Lawyer and Dirk said, Jeff is also a great teammate. He always has a positive attitude and believes that his team can win no matter what. He's nice to his teammates and like they said is an all around good guy!

Jefferson County is 80% run and 20% pass for the most part. They are very versatile and can mix it up. They run whatever works.

I think you're right... especially after a 49-0 win over Sevier County this past week. Coach Meadows fired them up after their loss and got them going. They are freight train right now and they just keep getting faster.

If it came down to those two, then I would say Maryville. Because, well, DB has a couple big players but Maryville is just stacked!

What's that about losing out... and to DB? Any team can beat any other team on ANY given night. Karns showed us that Friday night.

With Kingsport's loss to Karns tonight and both Jefferson county and Science Hill winning... what will this do to the conference.... Put it in a 3-way tie until of one of three loses? or until Science Hill and DB play to decide the king of the big east this year?

What happened to DB in this one? I was expecting DB to kill Karns... Just wondering how Karns was able to beat DB....
