although it was quite a boreing game and pretty low-scoring to add, it was a much needed win for the owls who were on a 4 game losing streak. However, it was very unfortunate that Elliot Harris had to go down with what looks to be a season-ending injury. Hopefully Marcus will step it up and resume his roll as starting tailback. all in all tonight gave us some hope that we might still have a chance at making the playoffs.

i wouldnt look past cenral like that, the score could very well be reversed.

yeah that and the overall team speed that brainerd posesses. there could be some big special teams plays this friday, however brainerd may not be as sound in the kicking game as central, but their kick and punt returners may prove to be a deciding factor in the game. I really do not know who to pick because both teams were destroyed by tyner, but i do know that brainerd played tough against austin east last friday so i will give them the edge based on that and if their qb performs.

Coach Bob Smith is defenitely a quality candidate for coach of the year.

That was back during the red bank game when those students were chanting that they wanted higdon instead of woods. I dont think it has happened since, but then again i guess the coach saw something in woods that night that the other students didnt. Anyways if anything else was said i didnt hear about it, but i dont think it will happen anymore.

The qb situation is over anyways. Coach announced last week that Woods would be the starter from now on and that Higdon will play safety and reciever. As staynskool said i am not sure that i know of anyone personally insulting any of the qbs, but everyone is intitled to their opinion of who they see best fit to run the Owls offense, but it doesnt matter what anybody thinks now because Woods is the man from now on.

It's about time they got what came to them friday night, they are lucky demonte wasnt playing or else it would have been even uglier. Let is go man. you just caught us at an akward time during the season last year because of all the different things going on at the same time. Im sure that the rain didnt help either. hopefull we meet in the playoffs this year again so you can see how we do things this year.

It is possible that Kevin Hughes was attempting a block at waste level(which is a legal block) nd perhaps judged wrongly and hit him lower then he intended to. Anyway you look at it it happens all the time, i mean you watch any football game on tv and players are blocking low like that all the time, because if you are smaller then the player you are trying to block then you have to get lower then that player or else you get run over. i mean it is unfortunate that hayes might be hurt, but injuries are part of football so blaming it on a "cheap" block wouldnt be right. i mean he just got his knee twisted up plain and simple, it happens a lot. it happened to blake mcdade of Ooltewah a few weeks ago, and im pretty positive that someone else is gonna hurt their knee too before the season is over.

yes they were, and since #1 got to the ball first, his team-mate became angry. One can notice this by the obvious expression of anger on his face. Therefore, he snapped for a brief second and tackled his own guy.
