It is possible that Kevin Hughes was attempting a block at waste level(which is a legal block) nd perhaps judged wrongly and hit him lower then he intended to. Anyway you look at it it happens all the time, i mean you watch any football game on tv and players are blocking low like that all the time, because if you are smaller then the player you are trying to block then you have to get lower then that player or else you get run over. i mean it is unfortunate that hayes might be hurt, but injuries are part of football so blaming it on a "cheap" block wouldnt be right. i mean he just got his knee twisted up plain and simple, it happens a lot. it happened to blake mcdade of Ooltewah a few weeks ago, and im pretty positive that someone else is gonna hurt their knee too before the season is over.
