  1. From what I have seen from both teams they each seem to have athletes that are well coached. Although, Bearden has more talent in their positions all around. I think that Hood will be dominant like he usually is, but so will all of Bearden's starters. I'm looking for a score in the low 80's (Bearden) to high 60's/low 70's (Lenoir City). I think I can already predict that Bearden will be #1 in the District with Farragut right behind them in 2nd. I think Lenoir City and Maryville will battle it out for 3rd and 4th. I am interested to see that match up.
  2. Not so fast beefstew...I have seen both Farragut and Lenoir City play and I have to say that Farragut overall looks better as a team than Lenoir City. I would say Tyler Hood is the best player on both teams, but all around Farragut has had some dominant performances. I really think they will be good games though. Farragut, Maryville, and Lenoir City will be competing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Sorry guys, 1st is going to Bearden. Also, don't say anything negative about Tony Williams. I personally know the man and he showed nothing but respect to his players and most of the fans. It's not his fault that a few daddies had some problems with how their sons were or were not playing.
  3. Are there any reasons to go along with these predictions gentlemen? I'm going to take LC, purely because of the talent at quarterback and the new coaching style. Although, I don't know if Loudon is stacked or not. Any help?
  4. Alright, LC and Loudon face off again on Monday. Who's going to win? Anyone got any predictions?
  5. I agree blackanddecker...it is important for these two teams to play every year. What I don't understand is why they have to hate each other. That is why a lot of their games in the past have led to fights. The rivalry is great, and it is fun to chant at the other team to get them feeling out of sync. But fact of the matter is we are all members of the same communities and we should show respect. Now here is a question I pose. This is for the fans of Lenoir City and Loudon. If a player walked up to you after the game from the opposing team and wanted to tell you that you all cheered your lungs out and did a great job. Would you shake his hand with a polite thank you, or spit in his face? We need to realize that it is great to get fired up for a game, and have bragging rights until the next time you time, but know that you all should still be civil. I'm looking forward to going to the next game in February between the two teams. I love the rivalry and both apparently have good teams. Oh and if the chanting obscenities at 7 year old kids is true....that's not cool man
  6. Oh ok! Now that helps explain things a little bit. So without Hood and Powers, did nobody step up?
  7. Being a spectator at a lot of games around this region has given me the pleasure of watching Lenoir City and Loudon both play this year. Though I was not at the game last night, I figured just by watching them play separately that LC would have dominated Loudon through and through. Somebody give me some feedback on how the game went down, other than the score I see on Coacht.
  8. By the way....Lenoir City smashed Sweetwater 83-57. With Hood dunking on them twice. Maybe Sweetwater isn't that good
  9. You really must be dream n it if you think LC should have one that game. Halls was clearly the better team. LC does tend to play teams close, like Farragut and Bearden, but they are just better teams, not better coached, just more tallent. Give LC a few years. I hear Coach Williams is an excellent coach.
  10. I have to agree. The way LC played against Heritage, if they can't beat them they don't have a chance against Bearden
  11. Lenoir City is should definately win this game. They still need to play well to show that they can at least compete in the district. Helton and White need to be hot from the outside so they can open up Hood down low. I pick LC by 10+
  12. I have to say that South Doyle has pretty much taken LC every year in basketball. LC definately has something to prove. They are playing well, but I think the key is for Phillip Helton to have a good game. When he starts making shots and driving to the hole, everything else starts to open up. They should also look for Josh White and the freshman Tyler Hood to play well also. I'm gonna say LC by 5 if they play well, but South Doyle by 20 if they don't.
  13. I was also a spectator at the freshman game (WB vs LC) and you are right I never heard him say the "F" word. I actually heard him say "bless your heart" to one of the players after his finished chewing his butt. I will say though that I did hear him make comments to his own players and the referees about a few LC players' height. I did hear runt mentioned also. Although I don't think he meant them harshly, because it was in the heat of the moment, but I know that some of the LC parent's heard them from their sons on the bench and were not happy.
  14. I also agree that all of this trash talk would stop....i graduated from LC and i've been in the stands when we have been screaming curses and slanders. Neither side is perfect...nor to blame for the end of the rivalry. So lets just talk some football and just football guys come and try to act decent. Now speaking of the game hawkins and fritts will pick LC apart...as will Hightower and Johnson pick Loudon apart...it will be a well fought game...good luck to both teams...and lets pray for no conflicts between the fans...and just cheer a good game
  15. I can't wait til' week 4 when LC loses to Loudon (2a) school now.. I can't believe my eyes....you can't possibly think that with just hawkins that you all can beat LC.
