  1. No matter how many times Ryan throws an interception or an incomplete pass, he always gets back out there firing away and he always finds a way to get the job done. The numbers don't lie, 19-2 as a starter is more than anyone in the division can say. It just depends on if they go for stats like they did last year with Mosby from CBHS. If they go with stats it might be Fisher or Clenin.
  2. Ok they waited an extra day to tell us they couldn't figure anything out. That's a little odd. All I know is if McCallie and MUS win, McCallie gets the nmber one seed. And if McCallie and CBHS win, McCallie gets the Number 3 seed which means we would host Baylor in a first round playoff game. That would be fun.
  3. He is not having a great year. Remillard from McCallie even has more receiving yards than him, but he is still the most dominant player in the division. He can explode for a huge game anytime.

I agree with Rhino and Plato. i have never heard anyone whine about losing Fullam or Shanks for that matter. All McCallie has done and all they have always done is have guys step up when they need to. As for the officials, I was at the game, and I only recall one questionable instance on a fumble. Give credit to Lincoln County for playing tough but both teams right now probably need to move on to the games they are playing this week and just let it go.
  5. D2 AAA Back Remillard, WR, McCallie - most receiving yards in TriState Area Fisher, QB, MBA - lotta passing yards, but Moore might be better overall Clenin, RB, MUS - don't know much about him but the stats are there D2 AAA Lineman King Dunlap, Holbert, or Mustin from BA D2 AA Back Bowman, Bowman, Bowman D2 AA Lineman No clue
  6. I was at the game and I didn't see any sophs starting other than Larkin and Crabby. Doug Campbell and a couple of others may have gotten some playing time, but I don't know of any other starters. Someone correct me if i am wrong about this starting lineup: Offense - Moore, Johnson, Olingy, Crabtree, Remillard, Sholl, Hitchcock, Haeberle, Rayburn, Thorn, Raulston Defense - Connell, Murphy, Brock, Johnson, Rudolph, McLaughlin, Moore, J Thorn, A Thorn, Brown/Silberman, Sholl I don't see any room for sophs in that starting lineup, I may be wrong on a few of those, but a lot of the backups are juniors and seniors anyway.
  7. I heard a rumor that Shanks was just getting a week off in the Lincoln County game because it wasn't a region game and didn't matter as much and he needed to heal his shoulder. Also heard that TJ could be back for the playoffs but am not sure about the MBA game. Flynt Rudolph and Ryan Moore still aren't bad as replacement linebackers, and I think we'll be in good shape regardless. I think Chris Johnson can have an awesome night if MBA has the same troubles they had against Baylor. We'll find out on Friday night, I won't be able to make the trek up there, but I'll be following closely on the internet and TV searching for a score.
  8. Rhea County won't even make the playoffs unless they beat Cleveland (which they won't). Cleveland isn't bad, but they'll be better next year.
  9. Only Crabtree and Larkin are starting right now as sophs. If anything we are starting more juniors right now who are really talented. Thorn, Sholl, Hitchcock, Brown, Rudolph, Johnson, Murphy, and now Moore are getting considerable playing time on defense. Add Olingy to that mix on offense. Our junior class is a good one and we should be in good shape next year even if we don't win it all this year (which we still can).
  10. Join the club, Maryville. McCallie has been playing without our top three players. The good teams have players who can step up and play when the injury bug hits. We'll find out just how good McCallie and Maryville are in the coming weeks.
  11. Congrats to Soddy and Ooltewah and good luck in the playoffs! Bring some respect to the Chattanooga area!
  12. Adarius Bowman is the best player and Maryville the best team. Anyone wanna disagree?
  13. It could be a matchup between Knox Central and Chatt. Central in the first round as well. That would be fun to watch.
  14. Don't underestimate those purple Pounders. Even when their best player was injured, they played with a lot of heart, and are very capable of pulling the upset. I think Maryville will play Hixson though. It depends on which Hixson team shows up. If they come to play it could be a close game, if they play like they did against Howard or Central maryville will kill them.
  15. He had the surgery Wednesday and I haven't seen him at school yet.
  16. I heard something (I honestly son't remember) about the Lincoln County players thought we ran the score up last year and were gonna be mad coming in to our house. Does anyone have the details on that situation last year?
  17. Right now, the only thing we know for sure is that Baylor will be the #6 seed, and Father Ryan won't be in the playoffs. IF MBA and MUS win, it would be 1. BA 2. MUS 3. MBA 4. McCallie 5. CBHS IF MBA and CBHS win, it would be 1. BA 2. CBHS 3. MBA 4. MUS 5. McCallie IF McCallie and MUS win, it would be 1. McCallie 2. BA 3. MUS 4. CBHS 5. MBA IF McCallie and CBHS win, it would be 1. BA 2. CBHS 3. McCallie 4. MUS 5. MBA
  18. Also, Alex Crabtree a sophomore played fullback, but he didn't start.
  19. Lincoln County brought down a lot of fans. Our visitor stands were more than half full, they brought more than I would have thought. Ryan was awesome at OLB in limited action. He was one of the guys in on the safety in the 3rd qtr, although I think they actually credited it to Ramsey Brock. Fullam, Shanks, and Brooks did not play at all. Fullam was in a wheelchair on the sidelines and Shanks and Brooks were in street clothes (It looked like we had about 30 players dressed out last night, and about that many in street clothes). Matt Olingy started for Wayne and did well, but Chris Johnson got the load of the carries and as usual was impressive.
  20. I pretty much agree with that poll. It looks like the Top 5 all have legitimate shots at state championships. Tyner may run into Goodpasture, Cleveland may run into Maryville, Ooltewah may run into Riverdale, McCallie may run into BA, and Boyd may run into Ezell. There are some tough teams out there, but the Chattanooga area is strong this year and maybe we'll bring home a few championships. By the Way, I think Baylor may end the season 5-5 after starting 5-0. If they lose next week to Tyner, and then in the 1st round of the playoffs to either MUS or CBHS, they would finish .500. It would be a disappointing finish for Baylor, but let's face it, they self destruct every year. They are overhyped and overrated at the beginning, and after McCallie beats them they are brought down to earth a little bit.
  21. I'm already gonna predict for next week the D2 AAA games. Three really solid matchups and the BA-Ryan blowout. McCallie 27, MBA 13 Tyner 35, Baylor 34 Brentwood Academy 49, Father Ryan 3 CBHS 17, MUS 16
  22. I heard 40-14 for the score. Tyner is rolling again. We'll just see how they do in the playoffs.
  23. Yeah..didn't Paul Campbell have the TD for Soddy tonight?
  24. Neither team really played well. Both teams had trouble holding onto the ball, McCallie's defense in the second half was the difference. They got a safety when the game was tied at 14 and that changed momentum. McCallie got the ball back from the kickoff and scored again making it 22-14. Ryan Moore didn't have his best game passing the ball, but he was good enough to win the game and he ran outstanding. He also had a great day kicking, punting, and playing LB. Yes, he played linebacker tonight because our two top LBs were out with injuries. Chris Johnson showed signs of promise as the feature back tonight, and other than two big plays on offense and the kick return for a TD, McCallie did a good job of shutting down Lincoln. That said, I was really impressed with Edminston or whatever their Qb's name is.
  25. Ryan Moore of McCallie and Will Healy from Boyd are the top two in my neck of the woods. Moore is a good prospect, but is having a down year this year. Wil Blowe on Hixson is a junior who is solid. Don't know much about the out-of-town teams, but I have heard good things about Lincoln Co's QB. I'll see him tonite.
