  1. In all seriousness though... I think this is going to be a really close game, and I could see either team taking it. Hendersonville will definitely be ready to play. I hear that qb makes some plays. Now if there's one thing that has improved for Gallatin every week this year, it has been the quality of the secondary. I just hope that defense keeps it up. Unfortunately I'm gonna be in East TN this weekend, but I did get to go to that barn burner in MJ last night. Hopefully the weather won't be dreadful and a decent crowd will show up. Much love and GO GREEN WAVE!
  2. Let me clear the air... I do not condone "throwing money at women" even if it is your mom, marked.... Nor do I condone breast enhancements and lipo-suction for cosmetic purposes.... It was simply a joke, based only partially on the truth about your mom.
  3. I must have missed the reading section in the same english class that you apparently slept through then... Did you even read how your started your last post? "So you are say your"??? What does that even mean? Furthermore, where do you get off calling your mom a "woman"? And as to your "best team in sumner county''.... I do have a problem reading, so I didn't quite understand the scoreboard at the end of the Gallatin game..... Maybe you should explain it to me, since you are of a vastly higher intelligence having been educated in Wilson County....
  4. What is it about Hendersonville people???? And that includes Beech... I've never witnessed a group of people with such an undeserving pride about themselves in my whole life. Marked, listen dude.... It's not even worth my time to address all the crap you spewed in your earlier posts, but I will anyway because I hate where you are from and everything you stand for. So here it goes: (1.) If anything, Gallatin has had only UNLUCKY breaks this year, as their only losses were by a combined total of 12 points to 2 top ranked 6a schools early in the season. (2.) Who in the wide wide world of sports cares what the bleachers look like? Our's holds around 6000 people... How bout your's? (so basically I'm saying that mine's bigger) (3.) There isn't a natural playing surface in this state that is in decent shape due to the monsoonal rains this year. So maybe you should save that comment for when Hendersonville's field looks more like the Biltmore Lawn, and less like the dry hayfield that it is... (4.) These rich hillbilles in Gallatin didn't have much money left over since we had to clean out our savings to get your mom some lipo and a boob job so that she looks good for when Enriques Perry is throwin' dollar bills at her while he puts up a couple hundred yards and 3 touchdowns on you..... (5.) Tell ya what Marked... Hendersonville's got plenty of money too right? Just a suggestion, stop spending so much on your perrenial rye/bluegrass/fescue blend and invest some of that cash in getting a new offensive scheme.... The wing-t is for sissy boys.
  5. I'm not a MJ fan (other than last night), but they certainly didn't have a "patsy" schedule... That seems like an odd statement coming from a Beech supporter, seeing as that you probably aren't going to win even your own "patsy" little district. I got news for ya Beech.... MJ does have one of the worst defenses I've seen all year. But until you guys get a passing attack and some special teams, you too will be one and done in the playoffs.
  6. Much love from Sumner County. I actually live in the boro, but I'm from Gallatin. We had the chance to scrimmage both of these teams before the season started and let me say that I'm glad you guys moved up to 6a. I think whoever wins this game at least goes to the state championship. Having said that.... Weather will play a HUGE factor in this one. With Riverdale running the wing-t, they rely on timing for 90 percent of their play development..... Try getting your timing right when rain is an inch deep on the field. Blackman beat a VERY good Brentwood team last week in about the most clutch performance I've ever heard of in TN high school ball.... I think this one stays close to the pads, and below the 20's on the scoreboard.... Blackman wins 13-10.
  7. You lebanon fans don't need to give up on these guys... They aren't a horrible team I assure you. That one kid had 150 yards on the ground on a Gallatin defense that is only giving up less than 10 points a game (almost half of which were given up against mt juliet). Another thing, Lebanon -from what I understand- is not necessarily out of the playoff race... With a win over Station Camp, they could sneak in as the 5th playoff team in this district. It's a long shot, but it could happen. And for the most part, their losses have been to quality opponents.
  8. Awwww, poor beech and their lack of funds..... Give me a break... Gallatin's stadium is like twice as old as Beech's school... Your problem at beech is that there is no help from the quarterback club. Which why should there be..... Why support a team that ACTUALLY doesn't have any tradition. I have had a problem with beech people from the day I met one. It's so funny because the majority of your fanbase not only thought they would beat gallatin, but they went as far as to rule out ANY possibility of gallatin winning. Don't tell me I dont know what I'm talking about because remember, my gf is from beech and I hear alot.... Beech just needs to learn that Gallatin owns them year in and year out.... 21-2 record... Yikes. Keep in mind that over half the points we gave up this entire year came from that mj game.... They are undefeated and arguably the best team in 6a.... We lost by a td.... Brentwood.... in the top 5 in 6a... lost by 5 points..... We average giving up less than 10 pts a game... C'mon dude.... Our defense has 3 shut outs, a game where we gave up 3, 2 games where we gave up a late td with 2nd and 3rd stringers...... give me a break. I think I'm through talking to you, because you seem to be just as stubborn and ignorant as the next beech fan. Better luck to ya in Girl's basketball my friend.
  9. Squash, maybe you should take a look at that graveyard of a field of yours over at the school board before you pop off about someone else's field. I was at your little garden spot on Thursday night. Half of one end zone is dirt. Oh yea, and don't run out of bounds, you'll be in the fence. In case you haven't noticed, we've all had a little rain lately. There is no field in the state in good shape, especially yours. PS. If you take the time to read his posts, you would see that marked is from MJ, not Beech. Sir, I will have you know that one of YOUR OWN COACHES said before the game, and i quote "We have the worst playing surface I have ever seen in a high school football game"... And you're right... What fan likes being right up on the field to watch a game rather than having to look across a track? Crazy I know.... Oh, and just to let you know, because I'm sure you don't..... For Gallatin home games.... We fill up our home side (with gallatin fans), as well as have a few of our own on our MORE than accomadating visitor's side. Which, by the way, holds a good 1500 more fans than Beech's stadium. To argue playing surfaces is ridiculous, but to argue that Beech's is better than Gallatin's is probable cause for law enforcement to search your house for marijuana... Because you have to be smoking something.
  10. Btw, I am not allowed to boast about this win to my Beech alum girlfriend, so I'll do it a lil more on here to you guys.... Gtowner eluded to this point earlier regarding a different point... But I just thought of it in a different light.... I remember alot of talk about "tradition" on this thread... And I'm glad we started a new one tonight since it has happened TWICE now.... (rj meadows) Try to pound it at us again on the one yard line next time, and we can further that tradition.... Beech can suck it. Oh and where's Gold dust? I want to hear how he felt about Gallatin "laying down" in the 4th....
  11. Marked, you are out of your mind.... Beech got beat ALL night. Gallatin has had a ''bend but don't break" defense all year, and it was at its best tonight. You think it's a fluke that we've given up less than 10 points a game? Defense wins games like this (played in terrible conditions).... And tonight, Gallatin had the better defense. Plain and simple. You guys gave up 200 yards to Perry and you are lucky he only scored once.... Furthermore, if you want to get into excuses.... Had this game been played on ANY field besides that abismal mud hole you guys call a football field, Perry would have had 400 yards.... So in my opinion, you basically need to cut your losses, and be ecstatic that an offense that has been scoring more than 30 points a game only put up one score on you... Beech was a great team, but maybe there's some merit to Earl Nall's number one ranking for gallatin. GALLATIN was the better team tonight. period.... OHHHHH!!! and I'm pretty sure there were ALOT more Gallatin fans there tonight than Beech.... In fact, you guys should be ashamed at the pathetic turnout on your home side. Squoshwave out...
  12. Believe it or not, teams like this scare me. Gallatin has seen it from metro teams before. What I'm referring to is a team that plays off emotion. I could very easily see WC scoring early on a Gallatin team that they know pitched a shutout last week. An early score will serve a lot of confidence to a team that hasn't had much success. Having said that, I do believe that Gallatin will win the game. But as other posters have stated, we don't like to EVER overlook opponents. Except maybe Portland this year... Yikes... Looking forward to a good game vs. WC either way. Good to be back on Coacht peeps, and GO GREEN WAVE!
  13. I, like most Gallatin fans, have a little extra pain in my fingers while typing this but hats off to Hendersonville. During the thread before that game I jokingly talked bad about Hville, but then said that I have tremendous respect for them and that they were a ligit concern. And they were. Hendersonville was by far the toughest team we played this year. And by tough, I mean their players are tough. Good in the trenches, play their assignments, and run the wing-t to a t. I think Ravenwood could have some real problems out of this Commando squad. By the way, if you guys beat Ravenwood... Then beat the winner of HL/Franklin, and Gallatin is still in it..... Wow, can you imagine the atmosphere at that game? Oh, and that game would be played on the 21st, and kickoff would be 30 minutes before the Tennessee/MTSU basketball game. I DON'T WANNA HAVE TO CHOOSE! Commandos, although I hate you, I want you guys to give the Raptors a good swift kick in the mouth from us folks up 31E.
  14. I hope that Lassiter's reverting to the old "run and run" offense of last week was more about not showing much on film than it was a gameplan going into the playoffs. And I think it was. Coaching has been pretty darn good this year. I love when we go into games with the expectation that a phenom athelete is going to have their way with us. It usually motivates the defensive unit, and they rarely abandon their jobs. It does happen though. Rodriguez Wilkes had a hayday with Gallatin's secondary last year. And the year before, that receiver from Ravenwood showed that one person's speed can beat an entire team's speed. Aside from this "Chaz" character, Centennial has the revenge factor going into this game. But I will say it again. If this defense for CHS isn't stellar, Gallatin's offense is going to be on the field a whole lot. And speaking of incredible atheletes, we DO have a 1000 yard back over here at Gallatin... And does anyone know Matthews' final stats for the regular season? (Gwave, I know you do). And we also have a pretty strong receiving core... 3 guys over 6'2", and can all catch the ball and make plays. Ahh, the 5A playoffs. How bittersweet it is to play Williamson County every year. Oh, and to whomever commented earlier that Gallatin would not make the playoffs if they played in region 6: .....Look at Gallatin's record over the last couple decades. They have made the playoffs virtually every year no matter who has been on their schedule.
  15. This is an interesting game. And I hate to assume anything before playing a region 6 team, but if Centennial's defense isn't phenomenal, then it could be a long night for them. Because Gallatin will make plays, and not every one of CHS's drives will consist of a big play. Contrarily, Gallatin will likely have several long sustained drives. And Gallatin will make plays on defense. Granted, a big play will be given up every once in a while. I'm actually not incredibly worried about the CHS quarterback. One good thing about being in region 5 is that we see a barrage of wildly mobile qb's all year. Gallatin lb's will stay at home and make plays. I do expect this one to be a high scoring affair, but if Centennial is as one person said earlier "suspect" when it comes to discipline..... Then this will look very similar to the Gallatin/Antioch game. Their qb made RIDICULOUS scrambles, but Gallatin's defense only broke once giving up a big play. By the way, I believe this is the first time all year that the Green Wave offense hasn't scored 30 or more points in 2 consecutive games. These guys are scoring machines, and they'll be back on track this week. The Holder/Matthews duo will have 300 all purpose yards and 4 td's in this game. Gallatin wins 35-24.
  16. This just in..... Hendersonville is full of poopy-heads and stinky pants losers. My girlfriend says she's wearing both Gallatin's (my alma mater), and Beech's (her alma mater) clothes just to make commandos that much angrier. I love this rivalry!
  17. Oh now come on... You can't tell me that it doesn't smell like a sewage treatment plant all the way up and down Indian Lake Blvd. In all seriousness though, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Hendersonville. I'm glad to see the region standings sitting where they should be again with Gallatin and Hendersonville at the top. It is a fact that I do hate them, but that's what we Gallatin folks are raised to do.
  18. Perhaps this game will live up to it's hype and not be a low scoring affair. I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing a total shootout. Yazzie is for sure a good back. By the way, I'm not going to say Hendersonville is a landfill or anything. I will say, though, that I have worked in Hendersonville... And it is by far the smelliest spot on the map north of Metro Center. You guys should literally re-locate your city. It would make a nice sewage dump for us Gallatin folk that live on the more scenic side of Old Hickory Lake. So take your Sea Ray Sundancers and your Carver Genlemen's yachts, and go ahead and move on through the locks and down the Cumberland river. With the rest of the smelly south Nashville atmosphere. Gallatin wins this one 28-10. I meant North Nashville. My apologies commandos.
  19. You guys must not have brought my printed/posted negative statements into the locker room with you at halftime. Too bad.
  20. Gallatin owns Hendersonville. Period. Here..... there.... It doesn't really matter where they play. There will be no kick returns, because there will be no returnable kicks. Special teams will not play in Hendersonville's favor. Hendersonville faithful, listen carefully. WE OWN YOU.
  21. Well, I have certainly heard alot on this thread about the run, establishing the run, stopping the run, and using the run to keep opposing defenses on the field... But I want to point out that the one sustained drive that Matthews led last week was packed with passing goodies. I think Lassiter is finally learning that he has potentially the best quarterback and receiving core in the region, and that he IS allowed to use them accordingly. The play calling was fearless last week, and the fact that the coaches had enough confidence to let Perry throw like he did tells me that they are tired of losing not only games, but fan support. Kudos to the coaches last week. I am going to disagree with Gwave and Wave88 on this one. I think Gallatin WILL put up more than 30 points in this game, and I think it is going to come via a flurry of play calls, and possibly a special teams touchdown. Here is another thing I am looking for in this game----turnovers. Gallatin hasn't really caused alot this year compared to years past, so I keep wondering when they will come. No better team than Hunters Lane. And just to stir up some banter, I would like to state that I genuinely believe that Hunters Lane High School is the most disgraceful secondary learning institution in the state of Tennessee. I don't really have a reason, other than I feel like saying that. The land on which their abismal excuse for a school sits would be better served as landfill. That being said, go Green Wave. Final score in this one.... 35-17 Gallatin.
  22. Boy was I terribly wrong about the smyrna game. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I think the one dimensional offense for gallatin showed its ugly face the other night at smyrna. And that was the game I didn't want to happen, where we were forced to throw, having little in-game experience doing so. Hopefully Antioch will have a functioning clock, by the way. I feel that if Holder gets more carries this game (taking the focus off Cody) the run game will have a chance at moving the ball. Fact is, you can't run your quarterback 20 times a game every week. Period. Urban Meyer doesn't even do it with Tebow. I was impressed to see some no huddle. Perhaps we might see some more this week? I hope not as a last resort. Overall, the loss was probably a good thing for Gallatin. Assuredly, they will get back on track against the bears. Final Score in this one: Gallatin 33-Antioch 24.
  23. I really hope this isn't the game I've been referring to as the one where Gallatin will find itself in a position having to throw the ball. I do, however, hope they choose to do so. Either way, I don't see Smyrna's defense being THAT much better than Lebanon or Mt. Juliet. The Bulldogs are definitely going to have to put up more than 17 in this one if they are planning to win, because Gallatin has shown for a month straight that they are going to score in the 30's or 40's. Green Wave wins this one 37-14.
  24. Should be a very interesting match-up. Both teams run eerily similar offenses, with the exception of Smyrna throwing a bit more. Kudos to Lassiter for letting Cody air it out a few more times against Glencliff(even though they weren't necessary). I think it will help in the long run. We have 4 wr's over 6'2", and we should make db's fear them. Overall, we look great lately. Smyrna.... Ahh smyrna. Big lines on both sides, but I have a feeling-based on the blocking by Gallatin so far- that running the ball on the bulldogs shouldn't be a problem. Gallatin wins this one 27-16
