Well...here we are another week of smack & jab.... Murphy Fair was mentioned in an earlier post....and I just wanted to mention that I listened to the High School Show on 104.5 after the game we played against Howard. Murphy mentioned Macon Co., saying they were a rising team. A team to be commended and also contended with. Pretty nice words. As far as the Respect goes...I for one, did ask for respect for Macon Co. earlier in the year, but now I have resolved to the fact, that it doesn't matter anymore if we get it from anyone. As long, as we as Macon Countians give it to the boys, then who cares anymore about the other people who don't. If Smith Co. prevails, this week, then I for one, will be behind them all the way hoping for a State Championship for them. I can only hope if the shoe is on the other foot and Macon prevails, we will have the same backing. And as any proud town, yes our town is painted blue & white. There are signs all over town, giving congrats to the Macon Co. Tigers. And please, people don't think for one minute, that we rushed to put these out before Smith Co. comes up here. Some signs have been up all season, but most came when the Tigers became the Region Champs. And I hope you guys do fill up the vistors side..We all know how TSSAA needs that money..

I'll ya what happened...Macon Co. rallied back with a 2 minutes on the board. Down to 1.7 seconds left on the board and Macon Co. kicks a field goal. A game to remember... Grundy Co. was a tough team....It was a heart stopping game..

OMG OMG OMG....That game was something else...I was screaming my lungs out, literally..I can't speak now.. My hands were shaking....I was looking at the clock it was running down...1.7seconds left and BAM!!, he kicks that baby through the goal post.... My legs felt like rubber...I couldn't hardly stand.... Grundy Co. was a tough team..they had it going on...and OMG their kicker was something else...(some college better look into him) But thank goodness we had a kicker that was "Worth his SALT!!" ***The ambulance came speeding past us while we were walking to our car...they said something about a Grundy Cheerleader passed out...Please let us know how she is... WAY TO GO TIGERS!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

No jokes on me....Our boys have been fired up since game 1.. And the only fire I need is one to keep my bum warm tommorrow night. Gonna be a cold one.......BRRRRRRR

Oh 1buck2....do you mean that horn is going to become a permanent part of the game???? That horn is the talk of the town, even made the papers... If MC wins and if P-town wins, they bring their horn & we have have ours... We can have dueling "Horns".. (Yeehaw Good Buddy)

You know what Greenacres....you are completely oblivous to what is going on around you I believe. And as far as talking about the band on here, well the band does have a big part in the game. Keep the players motivated, keeps the fans motivated and cheering. So Whatever to you! Not hardly...if you wanna come to my house, cook supper , wash clothes, go to work , clean house, get groceries and so on and so on, so I can live my life on here. Then COME on over to my house!!! An article is in the Macon Co. Times this week also about Coach Dyer and his accident. His wife stated, he wasn't sure what he hit, all he saw was gravel. Speculation was that he hit a deer, (very possible). I feel confident that Coach Dyer will not miss this game, even if they have to bring a hospital bed out there for him. ... Get well Coach Dyer.....

Now Queenie not everyone is wanting Portland to win. I just said may the best team win. (although PPride is being really sweet right now to all of us) I know, I know....he will change his tune next week if Macon wins and P-town wins. Go TEAMS!!!!

And all I can do is sit back and think is..."What a Fight this is gonna be...& Thank Goodness they givin us Macon Co. folks a rest this week from the "smack talking". 419Carpet if you had been at all the Macon Co. games instead of TC's games (just joking) you would have seen #14 is not only worth his salt, but worth his weight in gold. Smith is truly a great kid, that not only excells on the football field, but in lots more sport activities, while all the time keeping a high grade point average in school, that alot of people have always dreamed of having. Whether or not he decides to follow that kicking leg is up to him, but I feel he would have a great chance in college and beyond. And while I'm tooting the horn...He hasn't got alot of spotlight on here, (but secretly I know he wants it ) Congrats to MC#18 York on his 3 interceptions in the Howard game. There were a total of 8 interceptions that game and York made 3 of them. Way to go York!!!

Hey footballfan007, are you a Grundy Co. Fan? We have a thread on here, if you wanna step on over to it. Haven't had much discussions with Grundy Fans, but the time has come. So come on down to the MACON vs GRUNDY thread and dish with the rest of us. GETCHA SOME!!!!

These are 2 really good teams. Not gonna be an easy game. Sadly, one will lose, but too say which one, I have no idea. Both teams are gonna bring it. All I can say is Good Luck to both and hopefully Macon Co. will meet you in the Quarterfinals. GO P-TOWN GO OWLS and as always

1buck2 Card carrying member of the "Leave No Doubt" possee Well...I heard the horn & the "Hit Somebody" on the radio & I called in on a cell phone, to give updates of Region scores and I heard it loud & clear on the phone as well. One member of your posse even got a mention on the radio I have to say you guys are out yelling our cheerleaders at times, so maybe you guys need to do some pushups like they do when we score. Can I see that in the stands next??? There is no doubt our fans are LOUD & PROUD, so Grundy Co. won't have to worry about our stands being empty! The food is great at our games to as many have mentioned. We good ole country folk, making good ole country food. We welcome all of you to come on over to the home concessions, warn ya ahead of time though, there is always a line. I didn't get to hear the game from TC & Grundy, but that score stayed tight all night according to the post on here. So it must have been a heck of a game. It only gets tougher from here, so boys stay focused and bring it on home!

TNBballMan, thanks for the words. Believe me we aren't gonna look past Grundy Co. Great Ballteam with assistant coach Claridy (MCHS alumni) behind them all the way. Although the score doesn't reflect it. Chatt/Howard was a tough team. Howard had 8 turnovers, but our score didn't come from all those turnovers like it should have. Never underestimate any team that wants a win bad enough. Come on TIGERS...let's GET SOME... P.S. 1buck2...was that you with the Train Horn.. That thing was loud over the radio. Thought Coach Fitz was going to stuff that thing one time..
