I am not a coach or former coach of Soddy Daisy, or I wouldn't have heard some parents and your AD talking In The stands. There were a few of us in earshot and others of us listening to some parents laughing about it. It was more than one player and some of them were also telling other players coach Henry said to not play hard. I stand FIRM in what I said You are saying it is not because of the losses but other things that you are spouting off about, you say other Decisions Made during the game,You seem to know an awful lot about why he is gone.... Why is that? You talking to somebody making decisions? So these coaches have it better than other coaches in the county ? Maybe, maybe not, but I do say just because you mow the field does not make it Cush job for any coach . You tend to talk like anyone who disagrees with your bashing is a coach or relative or "a local coach in the Chattanooga area". Not true! many of us don't see it the way you do. You do not speak for Soddy Daisy or all of the parents or players or school.

Yea Steve Henry will take care of everything ..... Just ask him how to get rid of someone that he doesn't want ..... Parents and players say your AD told them to lay down and not play ..... Wow is that SD tradition ???

You are going to take your kid out of a academically superior school (Soddy Daisy) and out them into a sub par academic school such as hixson to play football???? Cause SD had a bad season??? I had a kid that played and the freshman team would get pounded cause the other teams would be playing 9th 10 th and sometimes 11 th graders. Not a lot of schools have freshmen Teams

Plus, I think that you missed the whole point.... If this is the same support that the new coach or coaches get, you absolutely will get the same results....

Lost .... you cant reason with those that peaked at 18 and are trying to live through someone else Remember the "Good ole days???" No sir , actually I dont.... When were they???? This i know for sure.... for any incoming coach that gets the same support from parents and administration you will have a repeat of what you already had. If you have a shift in the support then yes you are right, you may see an improvment. For the administration and parents talking at the game, yes the first game, you were in earshot of others listening to your scheming. As a parent I was taken back, you do not speak for all of us!

Ps It appears to me that you want a powerhouse team, and powerhouse results without the powerhouse work ethic and drive and a powerhouse mentality. Nothing worth having comes easy. If we teach our boys that they deserve all the glory without any of the work or dedication, we are handicapping them. In the real world, life is not fair. We dont always get a fair shake even when we do work hard. We do not always get what we deserve, and thank God for that. That doesnt give us the right to lay down and quit trying or have a bad attitude that brings the whole team down. United we stand divided we fall.

sdff, It apprears to me that your issues are personal. In reference to players going over the fence, I was at the game Friday night in the stands and I did not see that. I saw a few injured players in the stands at halftime. As a parent, If I saw my player over the fence during the game, well I would jerked a knot in their head. Perhaps the players that do not respect the coaches are listening to the garb being said at home. I have seen disrespect by some players and I have seen disrespect by some in the stands, You dont have to guess if the if they are the same..... They are. I have observed for the last decade, there has been 4 different coaches, I havent seen Soddy support any of them. We all think that our kid is gonna go to a big time college and play big time ball, right? Do you think that any college coach will put up with a bad attitude? Ask around they absolutely will not!!! Do you think that the college coaches will care if you or your player likes 5 am workouts? They wont. At the booster club meeting when it was announced that there would not be any 5 am workouts there was applause. I could not believe it when I heard that. I wonder if a powerhouse like Hoover HS would have responded like that. They are a powerhouse because of their respect,attitude, and work ethic, oh yea talent has a lot to do with it too. There is something to building quality young men as well as quality football players. If the first doesnt exist neither does the second. Soddy has a lot of quality young men and I am proud of them, They need encouragement, they need to hear us yelling for them in the stands not at them from the stands.

this should prove to be a good game. Soddy has the home field advantage as well as something to play for. Oak Ridge already has their spot locked up and Soddy needs this win to lock up 3rd. Soddy needs this win worse than Oak Ridge needs it so they have something to fight for. Good luck Trojans

Hotsauce You are right, theses are opinion boards. I didnt get my feeling hurt nor am I offended and at last check I have no feathers. I didn't take your post as YOU meant anything toward any player. I have read other posts that have mentioned players and was commenting on those. I don't know many players on the team this year just a long time soddy fan, and I know that the trashing the coaches business has been around for decades. It is just the way it is, there will always be a backseat driver when it comes to leadership or decision making anywhere from SD football to President Bush. Life goes on. But when I see all this smack on this forum, I see those who are team players and those who arent team players. I never said that you weren't a fan or never implied that weren't a fan, I just didn't see you as a team player, now that is my opinion. To you and cvilleballer I never stated that I think that that the two qb system was a good idea, especially going into the playoffs, and I think that is where you guys are headed, I DID say that it is not good team spirit to air dirty laundry or do trash talk on your own team on a public forum. You are putting words in my mouth. Again, I never said that you weren't a fan. I have read your posts and I did see you putting an I in team. It looks like you are taking things personally. I do see other teams laughing at your boards, I have made it to other local games this year and all I can say is that you are not sitting in the stands I am.

Deepball, I respect what you had to say, However; about being a true fan, you can have your own passionate views, I have my own, and my disagreement is that you dont air your dirty laundry on a public forum if indeed that you are playing in a team mode. When there is division there is weakness and it is displayed out there for your opponets to see. United you stand divided you fall. I have read other posts from soddy and I consistantly read you guys trashing on your coaches, they are a part of your team and I did read someone who calls themselves a soddy fan who was dissing a fellow teammate. He mentioned a players name and weakness, I think that shows a lack of character and it is refleted on your entire team. When you post something on this forum you represent YOUR team weather you are a player or fan. If you want to play like a TEAM on the field you have to act like a TEAM off the field. Back in the day, when you cracked on a teammate you cracked on the whole team. You win together and you loose together

hotsauce I am not sure why you are getting your panties in a wad. What I saw last night was a winning football team. As far as the two quarterback system, I think it is irresponsible to only have only one of any position. there is no possible way for someone to be 100% on 100% of the time. What I have seen of this message board is a couple of parents that have trashed the coaches and even fellow soddy players. You call yourselves fans? You make yourselves look silly! You are trying to put an "I" in team. There is no room for "I" team. Other schools are laughing at you guys reading this board. I haven't read EVERY other forum, but I havent seen other teams going for the throats of their coaches and fellow teammates. What about the players? I saw them having a good time after the game enjoying their win and trying to get their faces on tv. If the players dont have a problem why are you creating one? I want to remind you that winning and loosing is a team effort. AGAIN, THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM.

Soddy, what happened? It was a disappointing loss.

Lets face it, the refs sucked!!!! That didnt help Soddy any. How can we play against the opposeing team and the refs, but a good team makes it through adversity even when they are a little flat.
