  1. Thoughts and prayers from the Creek Wood family and community. Pick was a fine coach and an even better man.
  2. New coach, New offense, new defense, tough region, tough '07 schedule. I'm sure Beaubien is thanking the old coach for the 1st 2 ballgames of the year: Whitehaven (top 5 in class 5A) & Tupelo, MS (a great program in MS). Beaubien is a great coach and person. Give him a short time and Covington will be back to where they usually are. This is crazy!
  3. Hickman County people not supporting an athletic program or it's coaches?.....Uumm, I guess it has spread to the East side of the County now. Hickman County is famous for not supporting coaches or teams. I guess some administration in Hickman County would rather not listen to parents complain why their little boy is not playing? East Hickman got the best possible person to coach their football team. Matt Jones is a tireless worker with a VAST knowledge of the game. He is trying to win games and build a program with kids who have never played football before. They just want to wear a jersey because it is new. The people in East just need to realize that it is going to take time to build the program. East was thrown into the fire by having to play a varsity schedule in year one! It would have been better if they could have played a JV & Freshman schedule this first year. But instead, Coach Jones and staff have to take their lumps and know it will get better with time. To the people of East: Support your program as a whole, not just your own kid!!!!! Coach Jones: Good luck! It will get better /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. I am really enjoying sitting back and reading the friendly banter between Centerville and Lyles or is it between Nunnelly and Bon Aqua? No wait, it is between Only and Wrigley! Either way, this rivalry will be fun to watch in a couple of years. I am diggin' it!
  5. Dawg, Congrats on becoming a Man of the Cloth. Good luck and I am sure you will do well in passing on the Good Lord's message. I heard that HC did well against Spring Hill last nite. If you find out, let us know.
  6. Dawg, Are you not coaching at HCHS anymore?
  7. I will echo what Topper has said. Covington is getting a great coach and 1st class person. The kids at Covington will love Coach Beaubien. He is as good a defensive mind as there is in TN. Good luck Coach Beau!! Well deserved. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. I believe that Liberty Tech has moved up tp 4A for '07-'08.
  9. Inside joke with a very good friend of mine!! DCA will be solid as always. They return everyone from '06 and are extremely well coached in every aspect of their team. That would equate to "loaded"! Any other comments postman??
  10. Loaded!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  11. DC will be solid as always. Once in a blue moon, they will have a tough year, but not in '07. Coach Bledsoe and crew will have them ready and prepared for physical DC football!

  15. 1stdown

    Sycamore

Creek Wood and Station Camp will not play each other in '08. It will mark the end of a pretty good litle rivalry between 2 schools who opened up in the same year ('02).

  17. Good luck Coach Schrenk. I am wondering what Coach Schrenk will be teaching @ Northwest? I looked up Austin High School to get an idea who he is what he teaches and he is not even listed as a teacher or personnel @ Austin High School. Does he even teach? Surely Northwest did not make a hire for a football coach (the face of a school) without him being a teacher and in the school? Northwest: Things that make you go HHHHMMMMMM? If someone has info, please share on this matter.
  18. Here is a little clue to how things are run in Clarksville, Montgomery County: They interviewed a young, enthusiastic DC from a local private school who is certified in upper level Math. He has a TSSAA Championship Ring, a good teacher, at least 14 yrs coaching experience on the high school and college level as a DC, and he is not a finalist for the job? What do they want?? I coached in Clarksville for a couple of years and loved my time there. I understand the system, but this just dumbfounds me! They say they are big on academics and they say they want to win games?? Good luck NW.
  19. Scott Keasler. Why would he leave Smyrna and the chance to get another ring for the Northwest Job?
  20. Yes, Who is SK? And Could CC be Coach Chris????? Let everyone in on this.
