oh ok....... how about a B-......thats better? The coaches did a great job.... but the players did even better! I applaud the coaches on a sound game...... but the edge goes to the players for working with what they had. ONCE AGAIN "THE COACHES DID A GREAT JOB IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS!!!"

Huntingdon has some great kids other than NO. 19.... They are all champions!

All I can say is Great game coaches.......Some play calling was questionable but over all I gave the coaches for Huntingdon a C+. The players made the difference in the game! The Coaches did make a difference at times.

Im sorry if you misunderstood what I was saying. No Im not the almighty one when it comes to football. Im just stating that there are some things that coaches dont do when it comes to the off season. Sure they do the weight training and the running. What about diet plans, technique instruction, camps, film studies, footwork drills, hand eye coordination drills, breathing techniques, situational techniques, and most importantly knowledge of the game. During the off season? Alot of Coaches usually come into camp around August and have the kids run and lift weights then practice around end of camp. I would NEVER trust a kids coach or coaches to Set-up or Establish a kids future regardless of where he plays. Whether Huntingdon, USJ, North Side, or one of the nations top rated high schools. As a parent or relative of ANY player you try to provide the kids with the best. Thats the bottom line. Whether you decide to help the development of a kid especially if he was your own is up to you. But when you know the system and know that coaches only want that win...... just to keep jobs, and schools only want those wins to make money... you start to understand that sports have become stables for our educational systems. Herd them in and then reap the profits, and then they are sent to pasture. ONLY THE THOROUGHBREDS win the races! and the better conditioned, most knowledgeable, biggest, and fastest win the derby. Just trying to develop a thoroughbred, the best in his class both mentally and physically. Nothing wrong with that. If the other kids are left behind because "THE COACHES FAILED THEM" thats the parents fault for giving them the trust that should have been elsewhere.... In their own hands! So Criticize me...... Ok Ill accept that. Thats your right But Ill tell you this, and this is from my heart and Ill die feeling this way. Chris Donald WILL NOT be one of those Sent to pasture because someone didnt help him get to where he needed to be!!

Not here to rub anything in.......but I told you that Huntingdon was ready to play! I played this game for years and players know when something special is going to happen. Fans saw that last night! As for Rod Smith....He is once heck of a Football player and I wish him success in his sporting endeavors..... But on the other hand last night was the coming out party for one special freshman... My GODSON Chris Donald. You wanted to compare Rod Smith and Chris Donald earlier in the week and stated that Chris couldnt hold Rods jockstrap.........Well lets compare the two Last night: Rod Smith: 33 carries 138 yds (avg. per carry 4.18) Chris Donald: 22 carries 205 yds. (avg. per carry 9.31) Rod wore down in the 4th quarter from chasing Chris the First 3 quarters! Chris got stronger as the game went on! Great game Milan, but Huntingdon played better. Sure youve got your Mr Football Finalist... But he chased the best pound for pound freshman in the state all night long! No need for Chris to carry Rods jockstrap, Rod chased Chris' jockstrap and anything else he could grab all night long! :justwrestle:

9yearold...... I was really proud once again of how Chris played last night. Everyone was concerned about the preesure on a 14....... er um a 15 year old freshman in such a big game. That wasnt the case. As I said before, if Chris stays healthy and learns the game the sky is the limit. We got alot of work to do his knowlege of the game is lacking by proportions and next year hopefully he can bulk up to about 215LBs. and work on his speed we will be ok. As you can see I'm never satisfied......... he played great. But we still have a long way to go. he still doesnt have that killer instinct yet. It will come. hopefully we can turn it up a notch next Friday at the BURO! :justwrestle:

No I wasnt in Lewis County Friday........But Stayed on the Phone with Chris' dad alot updating him on the area scores, especially the Milan game. And Did get to Speak with Chris on the phone after the game. I WILL BE THERE FRIDAY ....... WOULDNT MISS IT FOR THE WORLD.

Those previous years wont help you FRIDAY will they? They can only be used for pep talks! Different players, Different Year, Different Place............And most importantly............. DIFFERENT OUTCOME!!!

Bulldogalumni.... You had four college offers? WOW.... Which one did you attempt to attend? I think I had triple that number and 7 were D-1 Schools. Decided on one and went on to play pro football. That still doesnt make me tough or better than anyone here on CoachT. But it seems that SOME of the Milan fans seem to talk about what happened in "76, "77, "78, '79, '80, 81', '82, '83, 84, ect, ect, ect! All I know is that this FRIDAY is all that matters win or lose. Those previous years dont mean squat now.Its a great speech for coaches to fire a team up when they have nothing else to bail themselves out! So keep thinking about the past and what Milan used to do and how many championships you got cause champions arent made by how many Trophies you got in your trophy case. TRADITION is made from heart!
