Big Daddy I don't think so. When will Johnson name Seals?

Billy Seals will be the next coach, if he wants it. Look at what Johnson told Smith and the newspaper. He wants a East guy, someone that knows what its like on the East side of town. He said he wants someone young that can connect with the kids. Johnson all but gave you Billy Seals name in the interview, and did mention him at the end of the conference. So, don't look for much to come out of this as a hunt for whatever, Seals is the man. I believe that he is the best fit for the school and program. Not to mention he deserves his chance. Sometimes expectations are to high!!!

Writtenword, I think that it bothers people that when we need to make cuts that you never see any cuts in the central office, they just keep adding to and making more money in MOST cases. Cuts generally come from athletics and transportation ect... while the ones making the most money continue to do so because they are in charge. I bet the schoool board makes more than 9,000 in expense money. My question is this, I really don't understand where the lottery money is going? I have heard that it is to fund education and most to higher level education. I think that we missed something when this money was not put toward k-12 education. With the growing need for funds in this state why did this get earmarked for college? Has this county considered an education audit and a finacial aduit to help with their situation? In most cases central office and the leadership will waste more than they are cutting from coaching.

Aben, Please give us a break. The last few years you have had more talent than has been there in 20. Union has not been in building mode. If so it has been building for 20 years. Finally we have a coach that is able to achieve some good things, and will make a difference. So don't use excuses for others not getting the job done!!!!!!

Ela, Thank you for the info. So if a school is on the failing list one can transfer to a school in the district and be eligible. Has this happened? In the article that was posted, Ky has refused this eligibility. Tssaa has the same transfer rule, have they approved it?

He right, The No Child Left Behind Act is a federal act that Tn. schools are under. Tssaa as many other state athletic associations are in the National Federation of High School rules. This will become a problem for the State Boards of Education and will probally be settled in court. It is siomething that parents had better research before moving their child under this act.

UC also got a great win. I really thought that it was a season saving win. I think that now no matter what happens that they have something to build on. Congradulations to the Patriots. I still believe that Coach Jessie can do something with this program if he sets his mind to it, and this team has a chance to pull off an upset if they play well.
