Everyone is quick to judge any person assoicated with smyrna. I can tell you that is wasn't anyone with a key. I personally saw one of the doors had been completely ripped off its hinges that goes into the gym area. Let the corrct people do the investigations before judging everyone. Bad things happen. Its part of life. It is not realistic for the school to pay for everythng. It was a horrible thing that happened. I honestly feel bad for all the players that lost something. Nothing can be said to make any of them feel better. Like I said before, let the authorities take care of the investigation. There were cameras in the area where the door was torn off its hinges so I would be willing to bet the best info would start comming from there.

you're right lim, i forgot about that new rule that when you score a td you automatically get 8 points when its the second half of a playoff game. Good thing we didn't let cookville dance into the endzone, they might have gotten 14 points for that. You are almost as bad as your buddy ship.

you know, i was thinking the same thing when wc was on offense. they had so many clips and holding calls that should have been called against them. so i guess your comment would be like the pot calling the kettle black. i personally thought wc was holding all night, but i guess that is just the perspective you watch the game from. it was a great game though. i saw a dirty move in this game also. Every person at this game watched sonny scramble around, run towards riverdales sideline and jog out of bounds. One of riverdale's players, who was not even in the game at the time, steps up and hits sonny andlays him out. no flag from the official. No attempt by the kid to get out of the way on the sideline, so you all are right, those officals missed a couple of calls.

cat hit the nail on the head with this one. Tillery was tackled on a screen pass and hurt his leg. but hey, whatever you need to do to feel better about yourself, you go right ahead and do it. The only unsportsmanlike penalty called in the lavergne-smyrna game was sonny being hit late out og bounds.

did you see this unfortunate event? I heard Mike recount two different versions of what happened. I was standing within proximity of this "fan" when he talked to Mike. All he did was look at him and say "I just wanted to see what you look like" and mike got all up in arms. maybe you are talking about a different incident. i did notice a few of smyrna's coaches run off some stupid fans ( they were smyrna's fans) because they came out to dance at midfield. I do want to say the Chris Gray might be the best reciever in the midstate. He made some unbelievable catches.

you don't need to worry about smyrna right now. you just might get to see that match up again this season. just wait and see.

what ever makes you feel better. everyone said the riverdale game last demoralized smyrna and they were done. so like i said, what ever makes you feel better. its your world, we're just here to crap on it.

not much of a true athlete if you think one non region game makes or breaks a season. good thing you don't play football. you are right on one thing. everyone has an opinion.

smyrna's freshmen won 48 - 42. it was a good game

Ronnie Carter doesn't put the kids interests first, only his. If football or any other sports or combination of sports gets too big, it makes his job harder. He's trying to make it as easy as possible. He does not care about looking good about making sport bigger compared to other states. It's all about Ronnie and not creating anymore work for himself than he already has. If Tennessee wants it high school sports to grow on a national scale, they need to find someone to take over their governing body that actually cares.

smyrna will be without sonny and rod at this tournament. Sonny is playing baseball and rod is making an official/unofficial (idk) visit to florida

Smotherman was well on his way before he suffered a knee injury in the spring. He had earned a couple of spots on various special teams and a spot in the defensive tackle rotation that sees extensive playing time. He is still rehabbing right now, but is expected to pick up where he left off. Not bad for a red shirt freshmen.

if my memory serves me correctly, Riverdale ran both a 50 and 40 front on their defense. Anytime somone went spread, they were in a 40 package. Someone lines up in a heavier set (more tight ends, etc.) they got into their 50 front. Their coaches did a great job of figuring out the opposing teams personell changes.
