Look towards Wayne County for the Rockvale coach. He has done well there. There is a current staff member in the hunt for the SC job and it's not Barger. This guy is much newer to the staff and has come from the East, but is not new to Rutherford county.

Principal at Blackman is crazy. Heard it from multiple sources. She seems to keep getting rid of successful coaches with no real reason behind it.

I don't see oakland as being scary right now. This game was more of how "down" riverdale is and not how "up" oakland is. I haven't been inpressed by oakland yet. They still have a lot of work to do, just like everyone else in the county.

Did Riverdales freshmen lose to anyone other than Smyrna?

grizzly played at LHS and was a pretty good lineman while he was there.

I don't understand such hatred grizzly. Every team in the county except for Riverdale has embarrassed the others at some point in the last 15 years. Some more than others. All of those teams have worked hard and eventually became pretty good and won a lot of games. Smyrna has one of the best group of freshmen in the state. Hate on them all you want, but all you are hating on is a group of kids working their tails off to get better.

Why is the win not legit for smyrna? Is it the phantom pass interference call against smyrna on fourth down on the last drive, or the phantom excessive celebration call against lavergne at the end. Both were completely bogus and hurt each team equally as bad.

technically, the refs would not have been in that situation if not for an equally bad call a few minutes earlier. the pass interference on smyrna when lavergne went for it on 4th and 11 was just as bad. make the correct call there and there is no opporunity to screw up again.

grizzly will usually find something to complain about with Smyrna. Don't hold and there won't be holding penalties. The officials were equally bad both ways. Each team could not help but get in their own way of winning the game.

neither of chase's parents live in the blackman zone. by tssaa standards, he will not be eligible until next year. that is for both football and baseball.

When Sonny and Rod both started high school as freshmen, they both lived in Smyrna's school zone. According to TSSAA rules, all they care about is where a student lives when they start their high school athletic career. They do not have rules that affect if a student moves after they have already started school. I love that people want to use that as an excuse as to why Lavergne did not win the rings and smyrna did. Lavergne can be very competitive. They do have the athletes to do well. I was a friend of Hester. I thought he was a good coach.

they could do it like texas. if there is a tie in texas, they break it with overall points scored in the season. one team missed the playoffs by one point last friday. they won by six points but needed to win by seven to win the tie breaker. they dont care about overall record

it was 2000 I finished school in 01 and remember thanking the Lord above we didn't lose my senior year. Lavergne beat Smyrna at Smyrna in 2001. Lavergne beat smyrna at lavergne in october of 1999. jason oliver was the quarterback for smyrna, mario taylor was the tailback. taylor had 6 fumbles in the game, 5 lost, 2 went for tds i think (i know 1 did for sure). Jason Olver also turned the ball over on an option play that was returned for a touchdown. Donnie Lowe provided 95% of the offense for lavergne. he was a one man wrecking crew. lavergne won the game 28-0. need any other details boroballer?

i already stated before... they know who did the damage. the problem is not putting their face on tv, the problem is the evidence needed to preosecute. they don't have enough proof to prosecute who commited the crime. thats what sucks about the justice system, u can't just shoot people cause u think they did something wrong. there's no reason to blast on someone if you cannot fully prove they did it. you are just going to caus yourself more problems. but i know, you are still going to reply and say its this grand cover up that mr raikes is behind to protect the image of the school. keep kicking that dead horse, he might get up and run again!
