Should have been a great game, but Northeast is going into the game this week one big man short. Lost a key offensive contributor on the second play of the Maplewood game in Senior tailback Daniel Swenson. It showed last week when the Eagles could not get a good offensive flow going in the loss last week to Mt. Juliet, a team they should have really had no problems with. The Eagles are steady, not explosive, and if they can keep it close, they may can pull out a win.

I may be looking through purple-colored glasses, but I think that the Wildcats have a shot at beating the Raiders. Yes, the key for Clarksville is the passing game and Fink to Frederick, and I think the Clarksville Defense is just good enought to get you a win. If Clarksville can contain the running game of McG, and make them pass in 2nd and long, 3rd and long situations on a constant basis, the Cats have a good shot at a first round win.

Northeast deserves nothing but a huge pat on the back after a convincing win tonight over the Vikings. I saw a game plan of controlling the football and trying to contain the running game of the Vikings. And it worked to perfection. Long was a workhorse tonight with 25+ carries, and that defense, great job of flying to the football.

I have seen a few teams in the Clarksville area, and Hunter Seagroves - C - Northwest is one of the best. He is a Sophmore, keep in mind, and is the leader of his team. STRONG arm, great defensive catcher, and a solid bat! The best Pitcher I have seen so far is Stack from Rossview.

Montgomery County high school hit the hardwood tonight with half-game jamboree action at Northeast High School. The Men's schedule is as follows: 4:15 Montgomery Central - Station Camp 5:45 Houston County - Kenwood 7:15 Northwest - Clarksville High 8:45 Northeast Rossview There will also be ladies games at 3:30, 5, 6:30, 8 with the same teams as in the men's games. will post results on this thread on Wednesday.
