How has Gosselin been doing this season? I know he wasn't as effective last season because he was still recovering from shoulder surgery.

Who is the best pitcher in Division II this year?

Webb, Baylor, and McCallie all sit at 2-2 in the region. Webb swept McCallie but was swept by Baylor. McCallie swept Baylor though! So who is the best team in this region? Does it seem likely to anyone that Notre Dame could actually place 1st or 2nd in the region this year?

Any prediction on how these two teams will do against each other? Personally, I think they're split.

Webb's field won an award last year for being the best field in the NATION.

Webb... Sr. Patrick Kimmons hit just over .400 last year and went 6-2 on the mound as the #2 starter. He also held Farragut hitless through 5 innings last year. Zach Gosselin hopefully has completely recovered from the shoulder surgery he had and will be back in the form he had his sophomore season. Jordan Wormsley is a LHP and CF who hit .390 last year as a Sophomore. Brian Bibee is a Senior RF who has already signed with UT. Jr. Charlie Seivers hit 6 HR's last year as a spot starter for the Spartans. A.J. Kirby is a SO 3rd Baseman who has alot of potential. He hit 4 HR's on varsity last year as a spot starter. He also is a hard throwing pitcher. (hit 89 last year while pitching in the Sportsbelle Classic)

QB--- Chad Pennington, Webb School of Knoxville

don't need second chances, eh? what about that whole... what was it now.... 17 or 19 (i can never remember these things) year losing streak? I guess thats what... 18 or 20 chances it took to beat webb?

McCallie is hitting the ball well right now and has 4 very good pitcher, led by Ryan Moore.

McCallie plays at Webb in the first round of the east region tournament tomorrow. Any Predictions on the score? Who is likely to start pitching for both teams?

From what I've heard, here are the seedings for the coming region tournament... 1. Baylor (6-2 in region) (gets #1 seed over Webb b/c tie breaker is runs allowed) 2. Webb (6-2) 3. McCallie (4-4) 4. Notre Dame (4-4) 5. Knox Catholic (0-8)

What teams from DII are going to make it to Memphis this year?

McCallie and Notre Dame play on the 11th and 12th. These two games will have alot to do with the seeding for the region tournament. Any predictions on how these games turn out? I'd think McCallie would sweep, but ND has proven that they can snag a game from good teams. They are scrappy.

Who has a chance to make All K.I.L. this year and why?

Who are the 5 best pitchers, 4 best infielders, 2 best catchers, and 3 best outfielders? Basically, make your all-state team from Division II. Here is the best I can come up with, but I don't know enough to fill them all. I heard that in the championship game the home plate umpire called back a couple Farragut hitters for leaning into pitches. Is that true?

What teams and players have been doing well? Who looks like they'll be making a trip to the state tournament?

FINAL Farragut: 10 Webb: 7 Webb was up 7-0 until the 5th inning when the Admirals scored 7 runs. Spartan starting pitcher Patrick Kimmons held Farragut without a hit until the 5th inning. Webb out hit Farragut something like 9 to 6.
