They both returned three starters from last year's team. How many players did LA and Harpeth have sick last night? Don't know all the details, do we. LA may be physical, but no more than Harpeth. i agree. But don't count on LA being too weak after this year. This year is most important right now, but since you mentioned it......Coach Melton went 8-10 deep last year and will probly go deeper this year. LA has a couple of freshmen in that are 6'7 and 6'5. And has some good talent in 7th and 8th grades this year. So while we will miss this years seniors I wouldn't count on LA to be weak by any means after this season. Just wait. You'll see what I mean when you see how deep this team really is. 10-12 deep? Are you kidding me???? Go LA! Make this your year.

WOW! Dunn exploded for 27 in the first half. I think he had 23 in the second quarter. The kid is explosive! Hats off to the rest of LA's team. These guys can play and play well together. Way to go LA. Keep it going. Dunn MVP. Clint West should be defensive MVP. This kid is all heart.

You all need to realize that all this about the extra stuff after the game is very uncool.

According to the Tennessean, Dunn had 16 against Union City, but didn't have his best game. Brown had 18 for Union City. Dunn averaged 25 for the tourney, dropping 30 each on Brentwood Academy and Independence. The LA/UC game wasn't LA's best performance, for sure.

Chase Dunn had 21 tonight and only played half of the game. His team is really deep. The kid can light it up.

I'm guessing he doesn't like LA sports because....lets see.... Both teams are well coached, professional, and mean business when they take the court. The players keep their mouths shut and expect to win. And they're almost impossible for most to defeat. Yep. Makes sense to me. Now, this is supposed to be about Miss Basketball. Hey jealousdcfan08, why be such a hater? Show some maturity and root for the teams from your district against other competition. I'm sure LA fans root for Upperman and visa versa when they get into post season against other teams. They'd probably like to see Dekalb girls win a district game. How many is it now 110 losses in a row? You may want to wipe the hatred from your eyes and watch Upperman and LA more closely and try to learn something from them. They work their butts of and deserve what they get. You say they've had some good teams in the past. Really. Do you have a clue what they have accomplished? What a shame that someone from DC root for 13AA over 7AA. Rivalry? Dude you'd have to be competitive to be considered a rival. LA may be DCs biggest rival, but don't count on LA bringing a pep bus to Smithville. You'd be more respected on here if you'd give some respect to those who've earned it, instead of bashing programs that yours doesn't even compare to. You cast a negative light on DC. That's too bad. They seem to really be working hard to turn things around, and I respect them for that. But seriously, don't bring up the rivalry thing. Thats just too funny.

AA - Chase Dunn from Livingston Academy 5'8 guard, Averaging 22ppg, 3 assists and 3 steals per game. LA is 20-4, ranked #9 by AP and strength+success #3. Chase has 1500+ career points and has accumulated many awards in his first 2 1/2 seasons. If you've played him or coached against him, you know how hard he is to guard. What a creator on offense! Already has D1 offers.

I thought DC played a great game at LA last night. Good job LA in taking everything they threw at you and matching it with something even better. 20's block was a good one! I'm not sure Dunn was trying to match Denman, though. Dunn had 32 on the night but only hit two threes. Denman-a three point specialist-had 7 threes?! and had 23 points. He's a great shooter but he can't match Dunn's creativity and score from anywhere. But he does have a quick release that makes him hard to stop.Tennessean says LA's TJ Smith had 23 points and 10 rebounds. How smooth is this sophomore? Nice double double. Good job to both teams.

Antioch and CPA finally made it. Both deserve to be there. I think Livingston Academy should be in the top ten in AA instead of number 11 for the second straight week. they are #3 on the coacht strength + success ranking. But the polls are looking a little better.
