It was her sister with the eligibillty problem, Colorado said she could play then changed there minds, guess they were winning to many games against locals. They play Baylor today at 5:30. Ooltewah got beat by a scrappy GPS team during the first round of bracket play in the Tennessee Tandem on Saturday, but it had been a long day and they were playing without Jessica Kile, who went out earlier in the day with an ankle sprain.

Yes he did not play and yes he should be back this week.

I'm not sure how many tackles he ended up with. All I know is that Simmons, McClendon and the rest of the crew had Akins scrambling all over the place. They kept pressure on him, but he is a fine scrambler. I haven't had a chance to check the paper for stats. Penalties really hurt both sides. Last week, Baylor had very few penalties. This week, both teams made costly mistakes. Coach Bibee has to be very proud of the effort his guys put out. They came into the game as underdogs, but prevailed in the last several seconds of the game.

Both teams deserve congrats. Baylor had the game pretty well in hand by halftime. They had stopped Boyd earlier. Boyd missed a field goal, but got one just before the half. Boyd game out more confident in the 3rd qtr. and was moving the ball well. Drew Akins had a great game; he was all over the place, making good plays. It would have been easy for Baylor to just give up when Boyd scored very late in the 4th qtr., but Cody Romans and his crew weren't quite ready to give it up. Great game, guys! I've never seen a Baylor team with this much heart.

Baylor jumps out to a 14 point lead early and takes a 14-3 lead into the locker room at halftime. Boyd scores in the 3rd qtr. to make it Baylor 14- Boyd 11. Boyd goes ahead in the 4th qtr. 18-14. Baylor scores on Braswell's 3 yd. dive into the endzone with a little over 2.5 minutes left (21-18). Boyd marches down the field and scores on a 3rd and 10 with a little over 30 seconds remaining (Boyd 25 -Baylor 21). Baylor scores on a pass and great run by Joynes (sp.?) - Baylor 28 -25. Boyd gets the ball with 10 seconds left. Baylor wins 28-25.

This was one of the most exciting finishes I can remember. It was a great game. Baylor wins 28-25 in a real thriller. thumb

All Boyds offense last year was on your QB running. They couldn't keep Baylor out of the backfield. Braswell cramped up in the 2nd qt. and wasn't used much the rest of the game.This year Baylor's QB looks like he can throw and Braswell looks like he is ready to play .

The only advantage Boyd had last year was a QB that could run. They were out-matched in every other position. Baylor is down again this year, but they have more disipline than most schools and enough key players to pull off a close win.

OK Soddy has no seniors and we will see next year how good everybodys freshmen is! Got the point.

Baylor will lose 4 players 3rd base and all the outfield. They will keep their pitchers and ss. 2nd ,1st, but they will really miss those that are leaving.

The fields in Mississippi are great, better than being in Memphis but don't kid yourself it's the money the tssaa are more interested in.
