I am glad I do not let my useless screendoor senior get on this site. He has worked himself until he is physically sick and emotionally drained. He would be even more so if he seen this thread. Boys if you have read this don't let it get to you just keep working hard and play your best. I promise some of us do believe in our team and are with you all the way no matter what the season brings.

The days of UC dominating OC are over. I am not saying they won't beat OC in the future but it will never be like it was. I feel this is UC's best shot at OC this year because by judging the UC and OC freshmen game look out Union City. OC as freshmen man handle UC.

Obion Co. beat Union City last night 38-8. I see many wins for this bunch in the next four years. Keep up the good work Rebels.

Does anyone know how the freshmen and JV are looking i know the jv has a game monday. just wondering if their are any standouts to look for

rebfan65, I agree and like coach bowling state he wasn't going to use our youth as an excuse. Last year at this time rebel fans were not sure about the direction of the team but it came together don't count them out i believe mike hutchens is right about the ripley game being a critical one also i thought the sports edition was as equally great as the ones in the past. thanks mike for another great edition

Come on guys I am not from Dyer Co. but players use this site as much or more than anyone else and that is not very encouraging. I did get to see Dyer County and Gibson County in several of the passing camps this summer and both teams appeared to be in better shape and more confident running their pass routes. I know it is a different game when you strap on the pads but I believe both programs are on the rise. Good luck to both programs I know how much hard work goes into being a football player and I admire each and everyone of you win or lose

Rebel Defense isn't where it needs to be but there is time to make changes and work on their weaknesses. The boys just need to put their hearts into what it takes to make this Rebel Team strong on both sides of the ball. We do have several young players starting in key positions and their may be some freshmen that see playing time as well. Just keep working hard boys and best of luck in the upcoming season.

Rebfan65: I am not so sure those positions have been decided. There is still alot of hard work ahead of the team alot can happen over the summer there are several talented freshmen coming in this year and you failed to mention any of our seniors that will be returning. Regardless of who you are it is not going to be a walk in the park all of the boys are going to have to work hard. Good Luck Rebels!!!!

Rebels have alot of hard work ahead of them but if you remember this time last year we looked about the same as we did yesterday I have no doubt that the coaches and the boys are up for the challenge. Several key positions are having to be filled but the boys have a good work ethic and Coach Bowling and his staff are working hard. Boys just keep working hard on your conditioning in the offseason and you will be ready this fall. GO REBELS!!!!!!!

Crockett always has a stong running game a team to be respected. I am an oc fan but hated to see crockett not make it all the way this year your coach and the team have alot of class oc looks forward to our scrimmage next week. Are we going to see a runningback with williams ability next Friday?

Powerset How do you think spring practice is going. I know alot of the boys are beat up mainly because practicing in the MPB. Maybe this nice weather will allow them to get outside.

Rebfan65 Practice went well today. Won't be practicing in pads tommorrow just conditioning. No injuries just bumps and bruises.

From what I hear practice went pretty good today. Alot of hard hitting today. Bacon, Grady and Cruce ran the quarterback position and Clanton in the runningback position with Mark Grooms also running some. Practiced in the arena today maybe weather will allow them to get on the field some

Obion County will start Spring Practice Feb. 9. Any thoughts on how it will go? It will interesting to see how they come out and who will be filling key positions. Anyone else in the area going out now? OC usually doesn't go out this early but Coach is trying to work with Baseball. I as others appreciate the fact that he allows our kids this opportunity. Rebfan65 Do you know the scores of the obion co/gibson co. games? Are we going to be able to look to our incoming freshmen for any help?

Who will be coming up for Obion Co. next year? I know they are playing a few younger guys. Just curious to know.

What do the county's junior high teams look like this year? Are there any outstanding eight graders coming up?

Don't know but I am sure anywhere he goes he will be a big asset on and off the field

As a rebel supporter I am curious to see who will be stepping up to try and fill Wes Moore's shoes. As a whole the rebels will have alot of rebuilding going on but I am confident that the rebel staff is ready for the challenge. We will greatly miss our seniors they are a special group of young men.
