topper55 said levering picked our secondary apart.....I agree, however, with the way WH's line played, alot of quarterbacks would have had a great day. It is hard to cover receivers for 5+ seconds. The toppers defensive line just got man handled and we never got so much as a hand in Levering's face. In all that I've read about Ladd and Levering, WH offensive line has not gotten nearly enough credit! If they play the next 2 games the way they did against the toppers....nobody will stop them. Watch their center, he cant be much over 4ft tall (LOL) but he doesnt get beat!

to turf master.....you say too bad there weren't more players motivated like Dee. If only you knew the truth. I say the exact opposite is true. He shows up Fri nights for sure. If the coaching staff at Hillwood had the guts to stand up to a couple of these "stars" and make them work during the offseason and even during practice and not pout because they don't get their way or because they are given some criticism then the toppers would be traveling to Memphis. If you knew what I knew, you would know how laughable that comment on the rest of the team being as motivated as he was is. A couple of the players on this team have unbelievable God-given talent....they dont have the heart, and coaches wont hold them accountable during practices.

By the way it takes an hour to get back to this area. And also the parents and fans stick around and feeds the team dinner after EVERY game, so that makes us a little later.

I guess this thread needs some class, by the way I am mentioned earlier about being on here talking trash last week, and never once did I say anything negative about WH. Also I believe it was white house fans dominating that thread all week, but hey isnt that what being a fan is all about. Hillwood got beat by a better team tonight. They took the toppers out of there game and our offense never found any rythm until it was too late. On defense the devils line dominated ours...no question, I could have run through some of those holes, and completed some passes with that protection. As far as being the 7th best team you faced....that makes Stratford a pretty sorry team I guess. You guys caught us at the right time and our timing couldn't have been worse. I find it funny, since we had standing room only on our side and it was 2-3 deep around the fence on our side that you still make fun of our crowd. Wierd. We had more fans at our home game last week than you had this week. Also our band was better than yours. LOL Good luck next week.

Hillwood has not relied on the passing game that much this year, especially in the playoffs because we haven't had too. We proved we can throw it in a driving rain during the hurricane week against LC, Dee threw for a couple hundred yards in constant downpour in that game, so sloppy conditions wont hurt that as much as it will bother the footing on both sides, especially if White House field is in as bad as shape as people are saying.

Turf master, you say the Tennessean doesn't give you any respect. They have you ranked 2nd in the midstate and the toppers are only 5th after dominating the 1st two weeks of playoffs. I think being ranked 2nd is a pretty good compliment and shows they have a lot of respect for your program. Can't wait until Friday Night!!!

Late in the 4th quarter their starter got hurt and perkins came in. I'm not sure who else would have thrown. Hillwood's defense has stepped up big time the last 2 weeks and has all but shut down 2 very good offenses. Great great win!

Since you are so adamant about this game, on here typing in caps to get your point across (although it didnt work last week) I was just curious what games have you seen Stradford and Hillwood play this year to make you an authority on who wins. I say Hillwood wins, but obviously I'm a fan so my opinion is a bit biased, is your opinion biased or have you actually seen these 2 teams in action and if so what games?

Outside of 2 series where Hillwood let up late in the game....their defense shut down a very very good offensive team in Clarksville NW. I agree the best defense will win...I of course have to go with the Toppers.

A waste? Is that what you would say to your beloved Fairview team? After they work all year for an 8-2 record and a regional championship and if next Fri doesnt go quite as expected and Fairview loses.....you are gonna look those kids in the eye and say "well, you lost this game so your whole season was a waste...thanks for nothing" Will it be disappointing if the Toppers lose? Yes. Will it be short of their goals? Yes. Will it mean their 10-0 record and regional championship was a waste? Only to those who are too stupid to know better. By the way best of luck to Fairview....I'm hoping you win it all.

Dee Rucker did not play, but that wasnt the reason for the score. Hillwood came out very very flat and Spring Hill played hard. Jared Clodfelter, playing for Dee ran for 2 more touchdowns that were called back and Hillwood also missed 2 field goals. Field conditions were terrible from the rain this week and that slowed Hillwood down. But basically the Toppers did not play well in any part of the game.

As Hillwood approaches the playoffs, they very well could be facing an interesting choice to make. The next 2 weeks their opponents have a combined record of 3 and 13. Assuming Hillwood plays up to their potential and these teams hold true to form, it is safe to assume Hillwood would be in position to sit their starters the 2nd half of each game. That would mean 5 of the last 7 games they have done this. In the playoffs it is unlikely they will have this luxury. So do you continue to sit your starters so that you are a good sport and also so that they dont run the risk of injury? Or do you play them for most of the game so that they are physically and mentally prepared to play hard for 4 quarters? So what do you do if you are the coach? I know this can come across as being arrogant but I'm not trying to be. What are your thoughts?

THScopper, the play that was ran was not the one called. Dee saw something and he checked off to that pass play to Antonio. Pretty good call I think. You can't blame the kid for playing. You want to talk about classless....how about the sign at the ford dealership outside of town making fun of the unfortunate happenings at Hillwood (which by the way did NOT involve any football players), or the classless "adults" that stood by the gate and cursed at our players as they came off the field at half time. Our coaches had to get police involved so we could get our players back on the field.

Hillwood crushed Tullahoma tonight...55-26. Once again the Toppers starters played one series in the second half then the subs finished the job. Tullahoma scored 19 of their points after Hillwood took out their starters. Sorry wildcats but Hickman County played better against us than you guys did.

You can keep asking the same question but the answer will still be NO!! If you are watching the news you know those kids were arrested and are no longer in school. Find a new subject that really has something to do with sports!
