No I def. did not forget about Darnell... Moffitt.. I'll give it to him that he did good against us but he's not that good. I would probably give them the best duo in midstate just because of Darnell and Moffitt being a better than average pitcher. I didn't say THE best in the mid state, I said some of the best pitchers. Just wondering what D1 School signed Moffitt. I know Darnell is headin to UK. Smart move choosing them over Vandy by the way. Goodpasture again will likely win the district and have another shot at getting to state. If White House is smart they will let Collins throw against Darnell and Midgett against Moffitt because with Darnell and Midgett expect some scoreless innings.

Just wondering if Dyer County has anyone that can match up with Gaines. And many times Gaines isn't the best player. Jeremy Barnes is. If he gets hot from outside watch out. Then go ahead and guard him on the perimeter so he can toss it in to Gaines or Wood.

One.. Eric Hudgins graduated and they will likely have a pretty good soph. filling his shoes at second base. They are a young team with only 2 seniors and many juniors playing for the first time. They lost 6 seniors and six position players. Miller has been starting since his soph year at short stop and Maquis Merritt will continue to progress behind the plate. The pitching is some of the best in the mid-state. Cody Midgett is a fantastic JR who will be the #1 with Cory Collins as the #2. Besides those two, they have some depth but not much on the mound. Miller will try to pitch but is coming off arm surgery, and Justin Randolph needs to continue to put speed on his fastball. Overall, the team is a young team but don't let the scrimmages mean much. WH usually plays a tough schedule against many AAA schools.

What time does the game start and is that Eastern or Central Time?

The game starts at 5 CST and will be played at Engel Stadium. Great Game hopefully and the field will make the atmosphere so much better. Who will win?

This year for the Blue Devils has been much better than what many fans thought. The players themselves knew the year could be this good. The schedule that was played could have been the hardest schedule in the state. They played in one of the hardest AA Districts and their non-district schedule was against one of the hardest AAA Districts in the state. This season is not over but do not let the record of WH fool you on how good this team actually is.

This game should be a good one. Both teams are going to be saving their best pitchers for the big games on Friday. I don't know about Goodpasture but i know White House is desperately wanting this game so they will be able to walk the line on graduation Friday. Goodpasture has won the three previous games, the first two fairly close and the last one a 10-run rule. The last game was much closer until late in the game. This game should be a good one though.

Well where were Gaines and Ladd, and Gaines didnt make all region i dont believe so why would he have been at the banquet, or is it required by all players?

I'd like to throw in there that Ricky has only played 2 seasons

OK. I know this board is about the game so i'll get to it in a second. I am a senior at White House, and on the baseball team. I go to every football game and i'll tell you there is pride there Mr. Charlie Murphy. I'm not saying we have more pride than all other schools in Tennessee, and I'm not saying we started the tradition of going to football games on Friday Night. I'm just saying that I do not know many schools/cities that will show up to a game on either side of the state. Last year, in the semis we brought i believe three fully loaded charter buses to Memphis-Melrose and that doesn't include the people that drove. Polk Cnty. got to see how many people we bring to games. Some other teams may travel well, but when i saw the teams come up to White House last year, they brought hardly anyone-even teams from Nashville. So anyways, we do have alot of pride and we are proud of it. I know i will continue going to these games for a long time. the game-- ND is tough from what i see, but i also know they run the different style of Offense than we run. They aren't as big as some of the teams we've played, although their tackles seem to be huge. Ricky is pumped after last game, and it doesn't seem he will let nerves get to him too much. I think if White House can stay in the Wing-T or Maryland I, ND will have a hard time stopping Ladd, West, and Hargrove. All three of those backs in the same backfield at once are hard to stop. WH-17 ND-13... It's going to be close but i think the D of WH will be able to stand tough.

I don't know what Notre Dame has but I've heard they are tough. What type of team are they and who are some of their star players. Also, I am guessing White House will be taking some more buses down there. They did for the Polk. Co. game and I'm assuming we will for this too?

Does anyone know how many yards Ricky had. I know it wasn't a spectacular game stat wise. How many rushing, and all purpose. And how much closer is he to the record if he didnt break it tonight. Townsend had a good game. He threw the ball fewer than 5 times. And, as bad as this is to say, when that happens. Devils Win. West had a great game. But i believe the credit needs to go to our D. Max Barrett, Adam Wiss, Jordan Smith, all of you had exceptional games. Jordan had a great pass defense and it was called a Pass Interference, but it was just a great play. That put the Bobcats inside thier 30 with 1st and 10, but the Defense stepped it up. Great game to all of yall and let's look forward to Notre Dame. To the person who said "we won by 10 they won by 7"..... Yall did and congrats... Even though in the first game u showed no class. You had the game won by 4 with less than a minute on the clock. All you had to do was kneel the ball. That's the reason u won by 10 and not 4. But who won the game that counts?

From White House, there are two players that have the talent to go D-I. Max Barrett the LB/DL #54 has the size, strength, speed of a college linebacker. He is getting recruited by MTSU, but might go to Tennessee. Rickey Ladd has the talent and speed to go to a D-I school, but he is lacking the size. He is a smaller back but easily has the moves to make it big. He went to Western Ky. on a campus tour, but they happened to lose that game. I don't know what his plans are now. Also, Golden Tate from PJPII is only a junior and is leading Mid-State in scoring and is also a Mr. Football Finalist. He could easily go to play WR or RB. He is a back similiar to LT or Reggie Bush.

Who are the Mr. Football finalists or have they announced it yet? If they havent who do people think will be in there and what are Ricky Ladd's from WH chances

First, I heard there was a bus going down to Polk? Is that true and what time is it leaving? I don't know much about Polk, but after Monday i will. From what i've seen in this post, they have a good running back and that is what has seemed to killl the Devils this year. Although the running backs for the opposing team haven't scored that many points, they control the game. That is what Greenbrier did and Pearl Cohn. The Devils are alot better than the record indicates, considering once Max and Ricky got healthy, they've lost only two games-Pearl and Greenbrier, the one and two seed in the region. They lost to those two by a combined 13 points i believe. I will be down there no matter if there is a bus or if i'll spend 5.00/ gallon in gas. Someone that knows about Polk let me know what they have, and what they would have to do to beat the Devils
