Maryville and Karns fill every weight class which gives them a minimum 12 point advantage over most other teams in region 2, however other teams may have as many or more state qualifiers. Region duals should be Farragut,Karns,Maryville,and Seymour but that is no lock.There are still some key matches left this week. Should be very competitive region team duals and probably the most competitive individual region tournament in years.

Johnson at Seymour is best 275 in region 2.

Blankenship could very well beat Campbell again. Probably a match up that could go either way anytime they wrestle,as for Abercombie and not placing at Bradley Tournament that was due to a broken bone in his leg. He is due back next week. The Seymour 112 lb Webb does look tough.

Puckett beat the Baylor kid at Greenville to give him his first loss. He was also OW at the Halls tournament. Puckett also beat Rudus last year for 3rd & 4th. Puckett is a two time state placer @103 5th and 3rd.

Didn't Nick Marable beat Scott a couple of times last year only to lose to Scott in the state finals? I wouldn't say Marable is the best in Tennessee this year but I would say he is the best Jr. in the state. If Marable doesn't win state this year I think that would speak volumes about the level of wrestling in Tennessee. I seriously doubt if Marable is concerned where any particular individual may or may not be.

The closest is West HS ten minutes tops followed by Bearden HS and several others within twenty minutes.

Another father son state champion combo,but the father won in another State is Jimmy Blair 1970 NC 115lbs and Justin Blair 2003 140lbs McCallie.

Stromie is a good wrestler but I seriously doubt he will last six minutes with Gibson. It should be a close dual match but I would give the edge to Bradley.
