Ok, Gleason didn't play Greenfield Friday night. We play them on the 22nd. Gleason's open night was Friday.

The only reason it won't be much more than 3 touchdowns is because West Carroll's coach is too classy to run up the score.

You don't call Shane Vinson a good offense? They may not have the best blockers in the region, but you can't say they don't have a good offense. Greenfield didn't beat SF; SF beat themselves.

Thanks, neutralwarrior, that was such a true post. Coach Lampkins is doing a great job with the Dawgs. It will take time, but he has made a great start in turning that football program around. We did win our jamboree game, and you are right neutralwarrior, SF was tickled to pull out a win against Gleason. Gleason played a heck of a game, but Vinson was just a little too much for 'em to handle. volsandtitans1, you made a great point as well. When you're on a team with 20 players and are willing to come out on Friday night against teams such as SF and PC, you definitely don't deserve to be run down. It would be different if they didn't try, but those guys have the hearts that a lot of other teams don't.

We'll see. Anyway, thanks sportsradiotn, Friday night's game was definitely winnable for Gleason. That touchdown Vinson made to take the lead was just too much for 'em. He is one of the quickest kids I've seen. He deserves all the credit he gets. Noah has done an awesome job with the Dawgs. It'll take time, but I think he's slowly turning the program around. Do you think SF has any chance under the sun against Dresden?

math_man- I do understand what you are saying, but the girl can play. Any "great" team would be lucky to have her. If she ever does happen to shoot 124 times in a game, I imagine she'd end up with 200 points. Ha! bballfever- She signed with Belmont University in Nashville. By the way, Halls vs. Greenfield would be a great March 20th match-up! Let's hope it turns out that way.

I agree that Strayhorn from Halls should have been nominated as well. Brandon is probably the favorite out of the 3 mentioned not only because he took his team to state but also because he's that good. Merideth Richardson (Bradford) received the Miss Basketball award last year, and they did not go to the state tournament. She is up for it again this year, and I feel like she deserves it regardless of what kind of a team she is on.

Tark the Shark- If I recall correctly, this post did not ask who I was pulling for in tonight's games. To be honest with you, I don't know of anyone from Gleason who was not for Greenfield tonight. Considering Willie is their coach, and I have numerous friends from Greenfield, it is obvious who I was for. I supported the guys at the state tournament last year and have attended several of their games this year as well. Did I think JCS was going to win tonight? Yes, I did considering all I have heard the past few weeks is how good the "quick, white boys" are. I am 110% Bulldog, but did I honestly think we were the peak of basketball in Tennessee? No, not this year anyway.

Halls trailed at the half but came back to win it by 3 (57-54). Good luck, Halls!

Trenton has a killer defense with a very strong press. They have beaten AAA Dyersburg, AA Westview, Gleason, and USJ (sub-state), just to name a few. Let's see. Who isn't one of their best players? I have seen Trenton play only three times this year, but the players who stand out to me are Sturdivant (along with her attitude), *Jessica Bobbitt, *Jessica Ford, Danielle Barnett, and Simpson. They have an awesome team. Everything you hear about them is true.
