  1. When is this game? I know it is at Giles County but I was wondering the date. I think I may have to make the trip to see Tyler Davis for the first time and probably the 2 best teams in the state along with White Station.
  2. Hey AERoadrunners, Ooltewah dominanted the game tonight and there was nothin the refs could have done to make us sorry losers as you said. But nice try though.
  3. Tonight at the Ooltewah and Soddy game the refs were just fine until there was an ejection. A Soddy player fouls an Ooltewah player on a layup for the And 1. They went into the Soddy student section and the Soddy player grabbed the Ooltewah guys butt. They then bodied each other up and Ooltewah shoves Soddy and gets ejected. After that the ref who teched Ooltewah made EVERY call against Ooltewah except for the obvious.
  4. The game between Ooltewah and Soddy is at Soddy. Ooltewah doesnt play another home game until January 13 against Central which should be a great game.
  5. Yes what was the score. I am sure this was a great game. I have a feeling that Mcminn Central came away with a victory.
  6. Yes Seth had a good game against Ooltewah. His shot was going well from outside especially considering that Ooltewah was in a 1-3-1 zone, designed to make you shoot. If he went inside a little more he may have been able to get Courtney White of Ooltewah in foul trouble who had a great game with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Oh and on the side note Seth is definitely the best freshman in the city without a doubt.
  7. Rudedog, Ooltewah is very talented. They played the worst game of the season against Cleveland and Charles played a great one. It opened some eyes in Hooterville. NO we definitely could not win your district, but I guarantee you we would not be dead last. Cumberland isnt that great, McMinn is streaky outside of the play of Jajuan, and Cleveland doesnt shot free throws well. The Ooltewah season could be one of the best in school history. I am looking forward to the outcome but it is a long way considering it is only December 5th.
  8. Well hey you may not need to help him out with it...obviously it was too quick for the refs to see but that wasnt the best officiated game of the year so.
  9. You must not have been watchin the same game I was. Several times when he would take off he would leave with both feet and shuffle. It is tough to pick up but he is not leading with just one foot. Dont get me wrong though he is a solid player besides that. He plays good D, but anyone at Temple does.
  10. yeh what was the final score and give us some details on the supporting casts as all of you call them?
  11. Good game tonight by the Owls. The refs were horrible all night, I dont think they knew how to call a walk on Wadley...everytime he goes anywhere he walks. oh well we still played great and we go into away games thinkin we are gonna get screwed in the words of Coach Baker. Courtney White was great with 20 points and 17 boards. Sherman Moton was everywhere also. They dominated the interior as I had predicted.
  12. Some of the best on the ball defense can be Ooltewah's Brandon Brown. He has quick feet and real long arms. Matt Miller of Ooltewah also gets in your grill.
  13. Should be a pretty good game. I am positive Temple can not hang with White and Moton inside, but I am not for sure how persistent the Owls will be in getting them the ball. Yes Ooltewah did beat Mccallie by 16 in a playday and didnt play that well, but Mccallie was missing football players and one of their big men. You can't compare high school games when you talk about match-ups almost just like in college...teams are so close to even there is always chances of upsets. Should be a good game at Temple but I think the Owls pull it off pretty convincingly.
  14. Hey pounderfan, #24 has already dunked this year against Grundy Co. No he doesnt have great ups. But hey he is a six foot white boy...give him some credit.
  15. In an AAU game 2 years ago, Charles Little jumped over a guard and dunked it. That is pretty crazy if you ask me. Last year against Ooltewah he threw it higher than the box caught it and threw it done one handed. And this year after the Ooltewah game he jumped and touched above the box. Dude has some crazy ups.
  16. I am sorry Chatt Sports Writer 11 but Cleveland is not no #3 in the area. I can't tell you who it would be but not them. Yes they did beat Ooltewah but it was by far the worst game played by the Owls all year. Plus when you are playin a good team in a close game you have to be able to hit free throws to seal a deal. Cleveland gave Ooltewah every chance in the world to come back but Ooltewah just couldnt capitalize.
  17. Why do you people gripe about the refs so much in this game? As a player I can tell you that it was a pretty well called game except for a few walks and maybe some of the ball pushing and shoving in the post. High school basketball is real tough to referee. Any level of basketball is for that matter. The intentional foul was a good call, Foster pushed Little in the back before he sweeped across for the ball. Unless Foster tripped into Little it was intentional. Both teams have a lot of work to do before they can be were they want for region and possibly state competition. Overall Ooltewah had too many turnovers, werent hitting outside shots, and were SCARED TO DEATH!!!. I will tell you for sure though that they will be working hard for the next time they play. Ridgeland the 2nd and Temple the 6th.
  18. First of all centralbarrelboy945, Ooltewah is taking one game at a time and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet and you are already talkin about mid January. Second of all, Murray will definitely not be receiving the PT in a big district game such as this one unless Ooltewah is in some serious foul trouble. And third of all, Ooltewah goes more players deep than Central has on there team. It will be a good matchup, but how about we wait until the week of to start hyping it.
  19. Yes they do have another big man at Baylor. I don't know his name but he has a crew cut and is about 6'4 or 6'5 and can shoot pretty well from the outside. He hustles the whole time he is on the floor. I am proud of my Ooltewah Owls at the playday at East Ridge today. They played their best basketball so far in this preseason for sure. We beat Baylor by 14 and were hitting about everything in the first quarter. The team did a great job against Adams holding him to about 7 points. The Owls then killed the Boyd Bucs by 40 or so with their jv/varsity players playin a whole half. They then beat Mccallie by 16 in their worst game of the day. Hunter Augostino was doing it all today, Matt Miller played some of the best ball yet and Courtney White looked real good against bigger guys from Baylor and Mccallie.
