I went this past Friday and Gil Payne who is the AD at EHS owes me $5 plus gas money because of the performance of the sports program he is over put on. South vs TN High would be the game to go to in the area.

Make the playoffs and get killed by West or Boone. This is living proof of what a joke this current playoff format is. I predict 4-6 and 4th in the conference. If North beats Johnson County and Johnson County beats EHS then all 3 have 3 losses and then what happens? If it is out of conference then EHS is 0-3. I know North and JC have wins out of conference.

Football hours are not 3 to 5 M-TH and 7 to 10 on Friday's. It is a full time job and if you half do it you get beat a lot and play bad a lot. If the coaches want to spend times with their family's I have no problem with that but they should quit coaching and say they want to spend more time with their family's. If they keep coaching then coach and put some effort into coaching. Last night was one of the top 3 worst performances by an Elizabethton team and staff in history.

I think EHS has quit. They come out with no emotion and they look like they are going to a funeral instead of a football game. The first 3 quarters were a disgrace and nobody seemed to care. They had their special teams moment when they forgot to cover the wideout. The coaches tried to get a timeout but didn't. Every week the special teams goof up somewhere. The first half they made Greeneville look like Maryville. EHS is losing their fan base and once you lose it you may never get it back. They will win this week but that will just be a bandaid because the fat lady is singing.

as far as the altercation between the elizabethton coach and our parent - it happened. first of all no betsy coach had any business hanging around in our lockerroom area and no parent had any business saying anything to a betsy coach. What happened and who was involved?

The first half was one of the worst halves of football in history. The second half was better. North is slow but big and their QB is their whole team. EHS killed theirselves a bunch but got help on the late hit on Smith that gave them the first instead of 4th and 19 and the pass inf on 4th down. A bad team gives teams chances to stay in the game and both teams did that. If I was grading the Back Judge Offical I would not give him an A,B or C. Why can't EHS line up right on a PAT? Every week in seems they have 10 or 12 on the field and waste on Timeout(they waste timeouts anyway) you cannot blame that on a tough schedule. It was a win but I got more questions about them now than I did two weeks ago. I am leaning towards Johnson County for 3rd and EHS should get 4th because Erwin and Central are awful and they SHOULD beat East and lose to South.

I have said most of the same things for a couple of years and have been called names and told I was crazy. I said last year they would go 5-5 and I was right. This year I said 6-4 I might be wrong. Some people were blinded but have seen the light. I have no family on the team or coaching staff so I see the storm clouds from far away. You get what you put in and if you half do something then you get half in return. EHS is closer to Unicoi than TN High and South.

I thought the replay of the SH vs EHS football game came on tonight at 8 or 9? Inside Buc sports is on which makes a lot of sense since it is football season and ETSU has no team.

Somebody needed to call out some players. The coaches will not do it because some kids parents might say something or they are in a hurry to do "something" else. The head coach should call out some of his assisstants in meetings but that will not happen because they are friends. One other note people on here are saying EHS has played 2 5a schools and make excuses for them. They could play West Greene and Happy Valley and be 2-0 but they would be a worse team than they are right now.

Whomever the QB is will have to run because 2 seconds after the ball is snapped 2 or 3 guys are in your face trying to hammer you.

Who is the back up punter? Since EHS has lost a running back who will take his place? SHHS took more out of EHS than DB because they knocked out their punter/RB. I hope he gets better because head injuries are nothing to take lightly but that is a risk when playing football. Hopefully he will be healthy and reved up for baseball.

No but any succesful football team NFL and College run it atleast 45% of the time because if you just drop back and pass all the time you get your QB knocked out and the D Line just goes full blast up the field. I think EHS line is no good run or pass but if the QB gets knocked out then they will fall apart even more.

Most not all but most EHS fans are awful and care nothing about the team they just want to see who is talking to who and how this one has her hair fixed. They do not care win or lose because they do not know where the scoreboard is.

I have said nothing bad about EHS skilled players and run blocking is easier than pass blocking. Just ask any pro or college coach. You have to have balance and any team that passes 80% of the time will lose. You can put up big numbers against Unicoi and Central but against good teams will you lose.

I am going with TN High 20-14. Maybe after this game EHS will regroup during the off week and figure out how to keep their QB for getting hit every other play. We will see .

All 5 home games last year and again last night EHS came out flat. I do not understand but I have an idea why this happens. Football is a game of emotion and you have to have emotion for 4 quarters. I think EHS should go back to 2 backs in the backfield and run it more plus more pass protection. Happy Valley ran this offense last year and all they did was pass it looked pretty sometimes but you get your QB killed and you lose more games than you should. Usually lineman can run block better than they can pass block and it has been proven EHS has trouble pass blocking so give them a chance to try and run block.

EHS better have 4 or 5 QB's because their line will get a person sent to the ER quick. They cannot run or will not run. They are beat up so next week might be a bigger challenge.
