  1. Itsupanditsgood i.e. TIM DONEGAN. It is very disheartening to me, to hear you say things such as this. Coming from an individual who did not play football until his senior year and then coming into the season with 2 games having already being played, I would have thought you would have a little more respect for a coach who was on the staff that allowed you to join the team. While you were a student at Franklin High School I showed you nothing but respect, welcomed you onto our football team and numerous times took up for you while others complained that you ran your mouth to much. When you get older and mature a little more, you will understand that there are opportunities in your adult life that you must take and this was one of them. Dr. Campbell gave me an opportunity to become the athletic director at IHS and I have taken great pride in giving these student athletes the best possible experience to play high school athletics. I believe my sportsmanship should never be questioned and in the 6 years that I spent at Franklin High School I can guarantee you my commitment to Franklin was never questioned. It is unacceptable to me the shot that you took at me in the last line of your statement and I thank UMREBEL for the good things he said about me. I am very honored to have worked with Graham for 3 years and I am proud of the accomplishments that he has received thus far. A simple commentary of the game is perfectly acceptable Tim but the unnecessary words that you aimed directly at me are simply disrespectful and should never be allowed in a forum supporting sportsmanship in Secondary Athletics. 2. Corban was a 4th Round Draft Pick by the New York Yankee's not a 5th Round got to give the kid credit, the best organization (IMO) in major league baseball liked him that much and his numbers don't lie, I think he deserved MVP. Seth is a great pitcher and was selected high as well he should have been on the team I agree.
  3. UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY Corban Joseph- Franklin High School WESTERN KENTUCKY Casey Dykes- Franklin High School LIPSCOMB UNIVERSITY Martin Grude- Franklin High School
  4. If the team was preselected then why have a tryout. Two players who would def. have made the ball club are not playing because they did not show up. The coaches could have very easily put the Grey kid from smyrna, the Joseph kid from Franklin on the team if they would have wanted to preselect a team just to win. Players always fall through the cracks in tryouts and without exception I am sure this occured, however I can guarantee you the team was not preselected. When your sons attend other tryouts they will soon find out that the way the coaches conducted this camp is exactly the way major league workouts are conducted. Coaches are looking for short, compact, and balanced swings, as well as arm strength from the infield and outfield positions. If you would have been one of the 40+ players invited back for the second day you would have seen that each pitcher worked a simulated two innings and each hitter had 4-5 at bats facing those pitchers. These coaches put the players in game situations and selected the best team from the players available at the tryout to compete with the other regions.
  5. I would like to go on record as thanking the TSSAA for all rule changes applied this upcoming year. It is without a doubt that more arm problems such as this will become prevalent with the extention of summer travel ball seasons thanks to the 50% rule. The Moore family should call Navery's summer ball coach and thank him for all the mileage put on Navery's arm last summer. Ladies and Gentleman chalk another one up to travel baseball and coaches who are to worried about winning the NBCAQQQ$$$$ world series. If you are a great player college coaches will find you, I long for the days when parents realized that these so called showcases are money makers. It is time that we realize that athletes do not have to play 80+ games in the summer and go to a showcase every weekend to be seen by a college coach. Understand that not every athlete is capable of playing college baseball but the ones who are will receive that opportunity.
  6. cordell did not get mvp. frohock did. get your info right.
  7. Flashgordon....BITE ME!! go franklin (FHS lady rebels for those of you who think we are FRA) and congrats to ravenwood on their outstanding win against centennial!!!!!
  8. Franklin's JV is in fact undefeated. They have not given up more than 7 points in any game. The teams mentioned above such as BGA, Father Ryan and Indy, Franklin's JV has handled easily.

  10. Quote: "Lucas is my Idol" It wouldnt be so bad if he was just the football coach but hes not hes also the AD. This causes all of the sports to suffer. Things wont change for awhile I am afraid. Terry Shrader the principle thinks sports arnt necessary at a school so he wont make a change. Besides he only has one son(who is a wrestler) and Shrader is sending him to Franklin not centennial. I must defend Principal Terry Shrader in this comment. Terry Shrader does feel that athletics are a huge part of high school and he wants all of his athletic teams to be successful. Now that Centennial is ranked as one of the top 1000 schools in the nation look for Dr. Shrader to begin rebuilding that athletic programs. Yes it is difficult to fire the AD and football coach but it can be done. Dr. Shrader's son does go to Grassland and yes he is zoned for Franklin but not only is he a wrestler he is also a good football player (nose guard) and baseball player.
  11. Franklin High School is looking for three more teams to enter their Sonic Invitational on April 7 & 8. The entry fee is $150, and each team is assured three games. If you are interested, please contact Elizabeth Pool at elizabethp2@wcs.edu
  12. It is very interesting to me David how you can speak about watching film, not having thursday practices, and coaching techniques. I understand that there were seniors who did not like the coaching staff, and I am ok with that. There were seniors who do not deserve respect from fans as well for their lack of commitment drive and motivation. David from an insiders point of view we watched film equally if not more than we did under coach Johnson, we had very structured practices last year that of which did not happen under Johnson and discipline was very good last year ie. the situation with the running back you are refering to. David if you want to know what really happened with Titus the player you are refereing to speak to someone other than Titus or his close friends who went home and told lies to their parents about the coaching staff. Titus was released earlier in the year for calling a coach a Mother Fuc***. Is that appropriate for a player to do? I dont think so. Coach Clayton was gracious enough to give the kid another chance and when he quit on his team on a Friday 5 hours before the game it was time to release a cancer from the team. If you remember right the team played better with out him. Oh by the way if you did not catch that TITUS QUIT It has been an eye opening experience for myself this year to hear of the level that kids will stoop to when they feel that they are not getting the ball enough. Plays are not always designed specifically for one person there are progressions that a QB makes and if a player is not getting the ball enough maybe it is because he is not open. David I am sick and tired of you getting on here and criticizing the coaching staff who works their tail ends off every week to prepare the players to be successful on Friday night. We did have more than two practices the week of the Father Ryan game. You tell me what is wrong with having a 1 hour complete walk thru on Friday of the game and letting the players off on Thursday to rest up and go get tutoring in classes that they are struggling in. Only two coaches left when Johnson left a suitable and qualified replacement left a program to take over at Franklin. This coach has a tremendous offensive and defensive mind for the game and he has the respect of all the Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshman. It was a shame that not all of the seniors bought into his vision. I know first hand the discipline at Franklin and I can tell you that if you asked any of the coaches they would say that it is better under Clayton. We do not have players missing practice not being punished and then playing on Friday nights, coach Clayton punishes players for having failing grades, he actually runs players for missing practices what a concept. This did not happen under Johnson, I love coach J he is a great coach however until you set down and talk with the Coach Clayton, and actually see how much time he puts in reviewing film and watching it with the players, and scheming for the weeks opponent SHUT YOUR MOUTH. Stop listening to your dad, Big Dog Daddy, The Hewitts, and Titus. The coaches are not out playing Golf like you Fans like to say they are we are spending long hours preparing to win. 4 hour practices are unnecessary. Do you practice 4 hours on the field at UT? No you do not. And dont try to tell me that you do. David if you want to criticize us come criticize the coaches face to face. If you would like to hear another side of the story go talk to some of the coaches that are still at Franklin whom you have much respect for and ask them what is actually going on. Be a mature adult and speak with mature adults about matters that you are not close to. Build up your team get behind the coaching staff and the players and wish them the best the players and coaches are working their tail ends off this off season to build on what happened last year. If you do not want to be a part of it that is fine, if you do then shut your mouth stop criticizing the coaching staff and move on. I do not post very often and in fact I did not know that this was even on here until I got a call from a good friend to check it out. This is ridiculous and should stop right now. I hope that this is the end of it!!!
  13. I think he is the same player who quit the team not once ,but twice last season. This coach's son has already been tossed once this season in the East Robertson game. I would say there is a lack of discipline somewhere.
  14. Franklin was actually scheduled to play Riverdale this week and Coach Rankin cancelled in the late late spring. Franklin was scrambling to find a game and saw that Ryan had an opening according to the TSSAA website. Ryan is paying Franklin to come play this year and next. Ryan will be the home team this year.
  15. Please know that fhsreb12 is of no affiliation to the Franklin High School Football team. His responses are embarrasing both to him and the program. If he would like to show his face to one of our football players or to myself, I believe his mouth would quit running. Thank You to all of our fans that use this website. Please continue supporting Franklin in a positive manner.
