  1. I agree. It was a very good game on both sides. I didn't think that anyone was ever going to get a hit. Nunley from Marion stayed back on a change up and was able to get a single in left, followded up by a blooper from Huggins that fell just behind first base. That was Marion' only two hits of the game. Griffith and Kilgore both pitched great games. It came down to the very end, and way to come out on top Marion.
  2. Marion plays at Grundy tomorrow. Both teams are battling it out with Bledsoe and East Ridge for the top spots in the district. How do you think this game will turn out? I'm saying MC-6 Grundy-2
  3. Well, as far as the new transfer from Marion, they're not gaining all that much. She is a decent pitcher and a fairly good hitter, (that is what we knew about her from the SP playday, we didn't get to see her too much becuse she quit) but she is the worst teammate I believe that anyone could ask for. She left her teammates at Marion because she didn't start in the 1st game of the season!!!! She probably would've gotten a lot of playing time if she had just stuck it out another game. But I guess selfish people don't put the team first. Good luck Friday Lady Warriors. It should be a good game. I am going to try my hardest to be there.
  4. Bledsoe and Marion both have very good chances at the #1 seed...you never know what might happen between the lines. East Ridge better not get too cocky. They haven't won it all yet. I'm not sure about Bledsoe, but Marion is out for blood.
  5. Marion- 10 SP-0 Marion didn't start hitting until the 3rd inning. Brent Layne pitched a perfect game for Marion. Ben Robinson pitched for SP, and we'll just say that he didn't have as good as a pitching game than Brent. He was man-handled by the MC Warriors...when they finally started hitting.
  6. Yes, that's her. She definitely had a great opening game Wednesday. Her homeruns were very well hit balls. She also pitched a 1-hitter. Congrats Griffith.
  7. Does anyone have any idea as to when the game will be rescheduled??
  8. Well, as far as I know, Marion is requesting that the game to still be on. I think that Marion is waiting on Sequatchie to give the call with a confirmation either way.
  9. I agree that sickness is something that definitely needs to be taken very seriously. However, I believe that if the coaches both agree that both teams will be able to play, they should be allowed to. The sickness is going to spread one way or another; whether it be by sitting by someone at a bball game or standing behind them in line at the grocery store while buying medicine. If the players want to and are able to play, let them.
  10. what did the score of that game end up being?
  11. Well, I have heard that when school is out due to sickness; there can still be a game but it is completely up to the coaches. I don't think that it is any kind of school board policy vs. playing....but then again different school boards have different rules; so, that may be one of Sequatchies....but I know that we played a game last year when our school was out. And Kell, I think that quite a few people were surpried w/the Bledsoe game. Marion came out playin hard. Nunley had 2 and Brown had 1 three in the first 3 minutes of the game. Marion kept the lead pretty much throughout the game. I thought they had it. But the Bledsoe game doesn't really matter in the Marion/Sequatchie game. It just all depends on who comes to play and who doesn't.
  12. I agree w/possum. Brandi Ables is pretty good, but have u thought that the reason she may stand out this year is because she is on a team that isn't good. If at any point she was underrated, she definitely isn't now w/the big deal some of u are making of her. I also agree w/possum on his picks, and also Cara Smith from Bledsoe, she is a 4-year starter and a killer at the 3 pt. line.
  13. Marion Co. will go to Sequatchie this Friday to take on the Lady Indians. I saw Marion play last Friday night vs. Bledsoe, and I have never seen them look that good. They played their hearts out the full 4 quarters but fell short in the last minute or so and Bledsoe won by 4. If they keep playng the way they are, they're going to surprise some teams in the district, and I am sure that they hope to start w/Seq. What are your predictions and thoughts? Who will come out on top, Warriors or Indians?
  14. They beat Polk County Thursday night. Sarah Kell had 23 points!! Good job, Sarah. But they got beat Friday night but I am not sure by who or how bad.
