From Boyd Buchanan, Key Returning Players - (1) Jason Davis, Linebacker (2) Matt Peardon, Tailback (3) Matt Henley, Fullback (4) Tripp Wingo, Wide Reciever (5) Chris Payne, OL/DL (6) Drew Akins, WR/QB (7) Daniel Atchley, WR/DB (8) Josh Macintyre, OL (9) Hunter Wallace, WR (10) Lindsey Roberts, OL/DL Boyd will obviously have to have some kids step up next year after losing key starters such as Jeremy Davis, and their entire Defensive Line. There is talk of a couple currently ineligible kids coming in next year helping out on the line, which should fill in the gaps, and the backfield looks to be set. The Bucs should have another strong team next year.

From my school, There is one kid in middle school, he doesn't start, but everyone calls him fish for some reason. I still dont know why. I doubt he'll play high school ball. But at my last school I remember one asian guy starting as a varisty Center. He graduated a couple years back though.

Boyd's Defense is all but unstoppable. Their Offense is very capable. CAK is too young. I will give it to CAK, they've got heart, but Boyd's heart is equal to or greater than theirs. With the Buc's skill weighed in with equal heart, as long as Boyd doesn't overlook CAK, they should be victorious. Boyd 28 CAK 7

I don't blame Boydie for not wanting to look to far back out their football history. They had about 20 straight losing seasons. This is exactly what fballfan12 was talking about. You search deep into the past to find something to make yourself feel better. Its actually pretty pathetic. For the last four years, SoPitt has been smacked around by Boyd... all you can ever say is next year, next year, next year, and next year just never comes. We beat you the last four times, and it's about to be 5. See you Friday. What's wrong with saying next year. Boyd said it a lot more than SP ever has. Boyd said it about too many times to count. If it was allright for them why not SP? If Peardon knew where the real football was he would have stayed with Marion county where he was supposed to play. It will be a long long time before Boyd ever matches MC, probably never. SP smacked Boyd around so much they got to be a joke. Don't worry they will again. Just a matter of time. Personally I dont forsee South Pittsburg contending with Boyd ever again. The Football program has gained much strength in recent years, and we should soon be a powerhouse. I will admit, South Pittsburg is a powerhouse, but it is definately waning. They will have to get through Boyd every year from here on out, and we aren't a bunch of little church boys anymore. krp, I obviously wasn't watching the same game as you did. The South Pittsburg players played their hearts out all game, and I tip my hat to them. I saw tears shed. Although I am a devout Boyd fan, I acknowledge that the score will never have a difference of 58, in favor of or against Boyd, just because of the massive rivalry. Alex Jones I played for South Pittsburg 96-99, you were garbage!! WE TOOK BOYD TO THE WOODSHED TWICE!! REMEMBER THAT!! ALSO WENT 15-0 BEATING 2 DEFENDING STATE CHAMPS AND BEAT THE 1-A CHAMPS FROM ALABAMA (COURTLAND). THIS YEARS BOYD AND LAST YEARS BOYD WOULD HAVE NOT STAYED ON THE FIELD WITH THE 98 or 99 PIRATES PERIOD!! That first game we played you in 99 you almost surprised us coming out in all new formations, UNTIL WE TOOK IT 90 YARDS DOWN YOUR THROAT TO WIN! THEN IN PLAYOFFFS AGAIN! THE THOUGHT OF YOU TACKLING EDDIE MOORE OR SAM PICKETT MAKES ME CRINGE! You are bragging about four years ago. If you even went to college, by now you should be at least close to graduation, and now you're talking about how you beat up a 15 year old kid four years ago?? Grow up and forget the past. Anyways, I think that Boyd could take home their first Championship ring this year, but now we need to think about driving it down the throats of South Pittsburg. After that, we're still only in the Semis. The finals are three weeks off, and we need to remember that.
