yea, we're playing pretty solid most of the time with a few bad games here and there.

noel and myself made it to the all tournament team.

we did play zone the entire game because we thought we could contain brandon, recover to contest 3's, and box out and run. Well, we did as good a job as any on burney, we didnt get out to the shooters(bearden) very well in the second quarter and i believe he hit 5 3'sin the second quarter alone. Due to the bad quarter and our lack of rebounding, we let central back into the game after being up 10-0 and as many as 15 in the second quarter. We played like crap after our good start and the indians did a nice job of fighting back. Our record is now 4-4, 1-2 in the district with a 2 point loss to nw, a 2 point loss to hume fogg, a 13 point loss to harpeth, and a 3 point loss to montgomery central.

So, how did sycamores games against harpeth go?

lilal, if you dont mind me asking, do you have info on hume fogg. i havent heard anything about them. what does their roster look like?

The cheatham county cubs are 2-1 after the first 2 weeks of the season after a blowout against cascade by 40 and and a pitiful loss to northwest by 2 and a fair performance against rossview. we beat rossview last night by 10 or so after being up by 17 and we missed about 10 layups in the first half. Our starters finished with 28, 12, 10,9, and 8 points i believe. Were playing pretty well right now at times against the clarksville teams and play another on monday, kenwood. We also play hume fogg on tuesday and finish up with sycamore on friday. it should be an exciting week.

willyp, shutup! the 2 games ive been to they do not get him the ball in the first half and that is why they are down! when they give it to him in the second half, he dominates! how on earth do you think they get back into the games?? he worked goodpasture in the second half including the big guy. hes a nice plyer.

Logan is a very solid player and can carry sycamore all year if needed.

We did beat rossview this summer but that doesnt mean anything because we also drilled station camp this summer and then blew a 14 point lead in our scrimmage to lose by 3. It will be an exciting game but i think we will play well after what happened friday night.

statebound, i am not the go to guy on our team. we have 4! go to players! not one, or 2, or even 3! and if we win by 40, why would i need to score more than 10 points and our starters didnt even play the 4th quarter. I guess the 9 assists, 6 boards, and 3 steals doesnt mean anything. As far as the nw game, i didnt get it done and neither did the rest of our team, we played terrible.

I also have been to 2 of sycamores games. Last night against goodpasture, both big guys dominated and the cougars played outstanding d. In the second half, logan took over and the eagles brought in their tall freshman who played solid and helped down low. Tinch also played a very good game. he kept sycamore in it and was the reason they even went up by 2! sycamores defense in the second half was 100% better than what it was in the first half. now that theyre 0-3, people are going to think theyre over rated but theyre not. they are a good team when they do what theyre supposed to which is let tinch run the floor, get it to pierce and let him make the decision wether or not to score or kick out to shooters. theyre a smart team and will figure it out.

I thought it was an awesome game. Quinton played a great game but the key player was dante as he hit 2 threes inside a minute and a half left and made it difficult for us to come back. Garrison played a great game but the rest of our offense took too long to get started, and even though noel finished strong and is the best shooter ive played with or against, he as well as the rest of our offense had some great looks to win or tie the ball game at the end. i think our d did a great job against newell and townley but they had way more athletes than we did and we gave up too many second chance points. We will get 2 more chances in the next 2 weeks to prove that we can play with teams from aaa, as we play rossview on tuesday and kenwood the following monday. All i can say is it should be an ever better ball game when nw comes down to cheatham.
