Smyrna smoked 'em tonight. They could've put up 100 if they wanted to but they played they second and third string. Smyrna scored the first 28 points of the game.

No problem 2p. Someone had to set him straight and I felt like I had to because I knew who he was and what he's like. Now to my prediction. I love Smyrna and I want them to win, but truthfully, I think Riverdale will easily walk away with it. It will probably be close through the first half like always and then Riverdale will run away with it in the second half like always. Good luck to both teams and no injuries to either team.

First of all, why are you attacking 2p because of his signature showing his passion for oakland football? The topic had nothing to do with Oakland, it was about Riverdale and their 1st round opponents. 2p is an Oakland fan and a loyal one for that matter. I respect him for supporting oakland all year long even if they didn't have that good of a season. 2p is a classy guy who knows 1 billion times more about high school football than you will ever know. I am proud to be a Smyrna fan. I also know that 82cat and many other members here are smyrna fans and im sure they dont appreciate what you've been posting on here the last couple of days. You're giving a bad name to the rest of us and making us look like we're some cocky school who thinks that we are the best team ever. It's alright to think we're a great team but dont make these posts so obnoxious and attack other teams like Oakland to make yourself feel better. Show some respect man!

More importantly is that they havent lost to a team with a losing record. All four teams they lost to have a combined record of 37-3 and are all top 10 teams. (Brentwood, Ravenwood, Wilson Central, and Riverdale). By far the toughest schedule of any team all year and only two of those teams are in smyrna's region! unbelievable! not to mention they also play in the toughest region in the state. Coach Shad did a tremendous job scheduling non-region games this year. Most of the team is made up of sophomores and juniors and this schedule will make them so much more prepared for next season

Smyrna is only losing 2 players that contribute game in and game out and they are Smotherman and LB Brock Willis. Smyrna will be very good next year and the year after that because the Smyrna Middle school team this year will be sophomores in '08 and will contribute like this year's sophomores are. Remember, that next year's seniors and juniors (this year's juniors and sophomores) were the same classes that went a combined 18-0 in 2 seasons at Smyrna Middle. I am predicting that Smyrna will win a state championship in atleast one of the next 2 seasons.

Smyrna is the best 4-4 team in the state and their record can be deceiving. No one from Smyrna can go into this game thinking "automatic win" though. Oakland's record is deceiving also and are probably the best 2-6 team in the state. It wont be a blowout thats for sure. I think smyrna will win by 2 touchdowns. I see Sonny and Rod Wilks will have a very good game and looking to bounce back from a disapointing 2nd half against r'dale.

Here's my prediction. Smyrna will win their final 2 games of the regular season against Oakland and Lebanon and finish 3rd in the region.

Smyrna's freshman are abyssmal. Their starting running back at the beginning of the year was Don Johnson. He fumbled a total of10 times in their second and third games. That has to be the worst performance I've ever seen by any football player in NFL, college or high school. The funny thong is that I think he still starts for the freshman team. Coach Shadowens shouldve cut that kid already. Smyrna's freshman are a disgrace to Smyrna's tradition.

Riverdale is just that good. Siegel isn't a bad team at all. If they were garbage they would be 0-7. I am a Smyrna fan. Even though I personally don't like siegel, but I have to admit that I'm jealous of their student section. The way they go out there especially in basketball games and rattle the opposition is pretty fun to see. It's like having a sixth man on the floor. I went to one of their games at MTSU last year during the state tourny and the siegel nation was HUGE. I wish we had some die hard fan like that at smyrna but the fans at smyrna are fairweather fans. When smyrna is good, our students are loud but for example, our basketball team has been awful for the past 2 years and the student section seems to be getting smaller each year. But whenever the bball team gets good again, you will see that student section get a little bigger.

I dont about siegel, but smyrna ain't garbage brother! Their three losses have come to teams with a total record of 15-3. All of those teams are 5-1. Plus smyrna only has 8 or 9 seniors and only 2 of them are significant to the team and they are Adam Smotherman and Brock Willis. Smyrna will be one of the best teams in the state for the next 2 seasons. I'll guarantee that.

I saw Ryan Smith. He's the stud WR from New Orleans for those of you who don't know already. He is atleast an inch taller than Rod Wilks so Smyrna has got some great height at WR now. Wilks is 6'2 so Smith is prolly 6'3 to 6'4.
