  1. That's ok. We don't need your support. We got enough from Rutherford County and region 4 baby!!!
  2. Actually it was Rod Wilks that made that interception on the PI call against Smyrna. Wilks never even touched the reciever. Jonah made contact with the WR but that was after Wilks made the catch.
  3. I really can't agree or disagree with because I did not have a good view of that play. Obviously I am glad it was called because that helped us out a great deal. Ooltewah and Smyrna both got help from the refs on iffy calls throughout the game. I think that balanced this game out as far as fairness and you can't really put the blame on the refs because calls went both ways.
  4. Haha thanks man. It takes alot of guts to admit you rooted for us and I applaud you for that. We'll represent region 4 to the best of our ability and make yall proud. Maybe you should think about tweaking your signature a little bit.
  5. Incredible game. Smyrna is hungry, watch out! I BELIEVE
  6. I'm pretty sure it was Josh Crouch. I might be wrong though. Jonah Hendricks broke up that last pass to end the game and the play before that, LB Josh Day sacked woods with about 15 seconds left and no timeouts for the Owls. I don't think you can give any single individual the player of the game. It was a team effort.
  7. way to go Ravenwood! we were rootin for yall over at Smyrna.
  8. ALL THE WAY TO STATE BABY!!!!!!!!!! That was a great FOOTBALL game. I don't think you can say both defenses played horrible, they each made big plays. Smyrna's Josh Crouch knocked the football out of the guy's hands to prevent the would-be touchdown. Ooltewah forced a fumble in the last minute to get the ball back. The most exciting football game I've ever seen. Ooltewah is a great team and congrats on a wondeful season, but the better team won tonight. Mistakes were made by both teams, so the game came down to who could capitalize on them and who would regroup and not fall apart. Smyrna bent, but didn't break.
  9. Wow I can see you put a lot of thought into this. Nice job, and great details. One thing I would like to change though..... Smyrna wins! Good luck to both teams tonight. I BELIEVE
  10. Here is who I think are some of the best out of region 4 to represent their teams: Smyrna: QB Sonny Gray- Great completion pct. Not great yds. per car. but can find the endzone. Leader of this entire team. 124/195 64% comp. 1922 passing yds. 15 TD 93 carries 243 yds. 2.6 yds/car 10 TD RB Maceo Harris- Carried most of the load this season and did a great job 180 carries 1215 yds. 6.8 yds/car 10 TD RB Antoine Hendricks- was hurt a couple games. great talent. makes eluding defenders look easy 104 carries 811 yds. 7.8 yds/car 12 TD WR Rodrigues Wilks- overall great talent at WR/KR/PR/DB. tremendous athleticism 49 catches 752 yds. 15.3 yds/catch 5 TD WR Josh Crouch- senior leader. has had an up n down season but has really picked it up since his suspension 28 catches 614 yds. 21.9 yds/catch 5 TD Riverdale: QB Scott Thomas- the prototype dual threat QB. did not really get to show off his passing skills this year. 25/54 46% comp. 404 yds. 9 TD 211 carries 1596 yds. 7.7 yds/car 15 TD RB Jeremy McClain 130 carries 951 yds. 7.3 yds/car 10 TD RB Monty Newsom 110 carries 725 yds. 6.6 yds/car 6 TD LaVergne: QB Andrew Rodriguez- former Region off. POY had a down year but was still very productive 104/217 48% comp. 1574 yds. 8 TD 115 carries 601 yds. 5.2 yds/car 9 TD RB Randall Tillery 128 carries 1028 yds. 8.0 yds/car 5 TD WR Chris Gray 34 catches 683 yds. 20.0 yds/catch 5 TD Lebanon: RB Carlos Gaines- carried the Blue Devil offense on his back 234 carries 1000 yds. 4.3 yds/car 4 TD Oakland: QB Tyler Burnett 80/193 41% comp. 813 yds. 6 TD WR Shane Blissard 33 catches 458 yds. 13.9 yds/catch 5 TD Siegel: RB Corven Parks 113 carries 656 yds. 5.8 yds/car 3 TD Blackman: QB Mauricio Wallace- lightning fast can play anywhere on the field except in the trenches 49/106 46% comp. 1 TD 459 yds. 90 carries 531 yds. 5.9 yds/car 3 TD RB Blake Bragg- too bad he wasn't discovered earlier, he would've racked up major yardage 76 carries 647 yds. 8.5 yds/car 4 TD Wilson Central: RB J.T. Majors 121 carries 611 yds. 5.0 yds/car 4 TD
  11. From hearing what everyone is saying about Ooltewah, Smyrna, Ravenwood, and White Station, I have noticed a bit of a trend. It seems to me that all four of these teams were not expected to be here this late in the season. Ooltewah- supposedly they are very young and inexperienced Smyrna- wouldn't be able to get past Riverdale Ravenwood- lost TC Jennings and company and also got off to a rough start White Station- I've heard their coach did a real good job of turning their program around so I guess that stands for something. What do yall think?
  12. Records do NOT matter in THIS game or ANY other game for that matter as long as the players for both teams come out believing they can win. Ooltewah could be 13-0, 12-1, 4-7, or 1-12. Smyrna could be 11-2, 12-1, 7-6, or 0-13. It doesn't matter. What matters is now, the present. Not then, the past or the future. It's about how you are gonna win NOW. A matchup vs. Ravenwood or White Station (by the way they are that 4th team in the semis that everyone has forgotten about) isn't even a possibilty until we beat Ooltewah. Last time I checked, Smyrna's name nor Ooltewah's name were penciled in to that slot for the state championship. It's ok to make predictions. Heck, if we didn't, coacht wouldn't be much of a site to see. But if predict you must, predict with respect. In other words, you can predict a blowout, but don't disrespect the other team by sayin they don't work as hard or aren't as "classy" as you etc... because that can come back to bite you in the booty and it will sting alot worse than you think. Just ask a Riverdaler. I BELIEVE
  13. Those rankings are not very credible at all! DB is still no. 2 and Ridgeway no. 4!? They're not even in the tourny anymore. Bump.
  14. Yea those calls were pretty whack! lol
  15. What a loser. Who takes another school's slogan?
  16. Different posters on coacht Sorry if you misunderstood me. I meant that you can be in the final four and still be considered an underdog by people.
  17. We can't help it. MOST people just hate us and want us to lose and we are stuck with that underdog status no matter who we play. Heck, we were even underdogs when we had to play Oakland and Lebanon because we had just lost to R'dale 49-0 and looked vulnerable but that is understandable to be considered vulnerable after getting blown out like that. Remember back in the spring..... George Mason was still the underdog in the final four of the tourny after defeating North Carolina and #1 ranked UConn.
  18. Wow it seems like the Smyrna players are really worried about Ooltewah from what I heard today. I have to say I'm a little surprised. But yea since they're undefeated and all I guess that's a reason to be scared.
  19. Yea and fumbles are a part of the game of football. It's not like the wind blew the ball out of their hands. Smyrna's defense forced those fumbles. They earned those turnovers and Riverdale got what they deserved for not taking care of the football better.
  20. Yea the Riverdale bashing ended about 24 hours ago. Now we need to focus on Ooltewah and quit talking about a team that's sitting at home right now.
  21. Like you said. Teams change over the season and Smyrna has changed dramatically since then. Well than you'd have to learn the wing t in less than week.
  22. What is all this talk about BJ Coleman? Last time I checked this was a Ooltewah vs. Smyrna forum and BJ doesn't play for either team. He's not just making plays as a WR. He makes plays as a DB and a kick returner.
  23. Yea Shadrake and Day are both 2 tough kids.
  24. Sonny has 1922 passing yards with 15 TD and 64% completion in 13 games and 10 rushing TD. Our two RB Maceo Harris and Antoine Hendricks combined avg. 7.1 yds./carry with 22 TD. Antoine was out for 2 or 3 games this season with an ankle injury. We do have a passing game and one of the best receivers (Rodriguez Wilks) and one of the most underrated receivers (Josh Crouch) in the state. Don't bother looking at Rod's stats though because they don't do him justice. He is constantly being double or triple teamed. We ain't no Riverdale. We have a passing game.
  25. Yea you're absolutely right. Hey, umm.... is Riverdale still playing?
