I agree that kids should allowed to play sports if they attend school and maintain their grades. My question in this senario with allowing the school system to determine eligiblity is: Do you think a school system is going to turn down a running back that rushed for over a 1000 yards in a previous season? I don't think so, legal address of not. Not everyone is honest wether it be the parent, the kid, the school system or even the TSSAA. My point is that we need someone to watch over things because in this world of dishonesty a governing body and few rules tends to keep us more honest than we would be on our own. If we don't like the governing bodys decision then there is always the option to challege. I don't think it calls for running the TSSAA in the ground to get the problem fixed.
Personally in my school system we have alot of students from other counties that go to our schools elementary and up. Not because they want to play sports but because we seem to be considered more safe than their school and cheaper than private school.
